My Video Card On My Pc Is

I got a new video card and my pc beeps 6 times?

try this one:

Try to check whether the video card cable is properly connected.
check whether the video card is properly inserted..
also check whether you have inserted in the correct slot....
verify the video card is properly in a working state.

My desktop tower is too small for my video card?

There are two things here you need to look into:

1. Does the PC have a strong enough power supply to support an extra video card?
2. What low profile video cards are available?

Here's some information from HP on replacing the video card:

IMPORTANT: Due to the small computer size, you can only install a small, low-profile PCI-E card of the same approximate size of the graphics card. HP recommends that you install a card with power consumption of 25 watts or less.
Not all low-profile cards will fit into the PCI-E slot. Some external connectors, especially connectors located at the top of the card, may not fit properly into the back panel.

So, you need to find a low profile card that uses less than 25W OR you need to upgrade your power supply as well.

Here is a list of low profile cards currently available:

This one seems to be the fastest one available at this time:

It requires a 300W power supply, so make sure that you have that available, or buy one that fits the case. Also, it uses GDDR2, not the faster GDDR3 memory.

And just the set the right expectations: This card won't play any current games (Crysis, Call of Duty 4, etc.) at high resolutions.

I need to change my video card on my PC Compaq Presario S4300nx. Which video card are my options?

If your going to upgrade your video card you may want to bump up you ram to.
If you running a 64 with 256 ram it may work fine, but when you go to 128 your going to want at least 512 ram. My guess is that your not doing it to make your games look better but to increase performance and ran newer games.
I have a ATI 9000 in one camp and a Ge-force 5200 in the other.
ATI doesn't consume as much ram on a constant bases. But they run almost the same. ATI has little better definition of font.

Video Card for Compaq Presario?

I checked the specs and found your computer has one pciX16 expansion slot. Here is info for selecting the best card for the money. Don' t tempted to go too far with the graphics card or you will have to upgrade the power supply too.

I'm looking to upgrade my video card on my emachine w3615 What card would be the best?

Well it depends on how you use your pc
personally i dont like ATI Vcards
ill go with Nvidia
im using an Nvidia 8600 GX Overclocked and its pretty good

but again it depends on how you use your pc
for example if your a extreme gamer like me :D
youll preffer somethin like an Nvidia 8600 with 512+ ram

if you dont want to spend alot of money on it
you should go with an Nvidia 6200 -7000
same power as the 8000+ but less expensive

How do I remove my desktop PC's video card metal frame things?

beleive it or not they push vertically up and in... from the outside of the case, just apply pressure to them in an upward and inward manner and they should pop straight out. for a 8800GTX you might need to remove two of them since it's a double wide PCI card. depending on your case, you might need to unscrew two small screws that hold the metal covers in place, if this is the case, remove the two screws and THEN push the plates out of the way.

Hope this helps.

Why doesn't my PC detect my video card in the device manager?

Why doesn't my PC detect my video card in the device manager? You will need to provide a whole bunch more information before anyone will be able to provide a useful answer.Things like:Motherboard modelProcessor modelVideo card modelOperating SystemIt could be something as simple as not having a card compatible with your system or it could be something that needs a bit of troubleshooting (damaged card, damaged motherboard, bios settings, etc.). Without the basic information, there is no way to tell.

Why is my PC not using my GPU for my video games?

You can uninstall your current graphic card drivers and install the new version of the driver from the Official AMD site. After installing restart the PC. This should work.Otherwise, try Control Panel > Hardware/Device Manager > Display Adapters > right click Intel HD Graphics and Disable. This works in many cases. Also make make sure that your monitor is connected to your Graphics Card and not to the motherboard.

Am I suppose to connect my monitor to the mother board or video card?

Choose the monitor which was compatible with your video card. E.g. a monitor with VGA port will need to connect to VGA port and not all mainboard or Video Card(GPU) have VGA port. Not all port support every resolution your monitor needs too.  That must be taken into consideration as well.Generally you’ll want to connect your monitor to the GPU as a GPU usually has wider array of output port (HDMI and Display Port) and performs better compared to the mainboard. But for certain case (like my computer), if I only have 1 monitor with VGA port, I’ll have to connect my monitor to my mainboard as my GPU have no VGA output.
