My Voice Begun To Crack

I'm 14 and my voice has not cracked!!?

Not everything changes at the same time while you're in puberty. That's what you have to accept. Hair might be growing everywhere and everything else may seem to be changing except your voice but you have to realize it will come eventually. You're parents are probably right anyways! Maybe you don't even notice that its gotten deeper.

Some things you could do are;
get a good nights sleep. it helps your vocal cords and believe me, your voice will sound deeper when you wake up.
dont talk fast, talk slow.

Also, record your voice with an ipod or something from time to time!

My voice keeps cracking...?

Sometimes i can belt really strong like i always sing the song "just a fool" by christina aguilera but a lot of the times i crack or strain and when i say crack i mean CRACK like a screech. But other days i do it effortlessly. How can i improve my belting??? Any excersizes???

Why is my voice cracking at age 19?

Your voice will continue to change throughout your life. The first major changes are in adolescence, but other changes throughout your life either environmental or just maturation can affect your voice. Are you a singer, smoker, did you just move, do you have allergies? Those are the things that would easily affect your voice at any time. This doesn't alleviate that you might have some medical cause, which if you haven't had checked, then you should consider that as a potential need.

Why does your voice crack?

There are a few reasons why a voice may "crack:"1.  Males experience this as their vocal cords lengthen during puberty.  There is an in-between time where they must learn to control a changing voice, and during that time "cracking" is common.2.  Anxiety.  Some people tremble or experience sporadic muscle control when they are experiencing anxiety.  This may manifest as "voice cracking" when the lack of control allows for unplanned or poor vocalizations.  Stage fright is one example of this.3.  Abuse.  It's possible for people to damage their voice by extreme use, or aggressive use when they are sick.  Damaged vocal cords do not always heal perfectly, and the smooth range of vocalizations possible can be come disjointed.4.  Sickness / disease.  In general, these can contribute to swelling, which can impact vocalizations in ways that would result in "cracking" of the voice.  In simple terms, we control our voice from a mapped set of muscle actions.  We usually know what to expect, and this is how we vocalize successfully.  Where the vocal cords are changed, that map differs from the reality, resulting in cracking.5.  Deliberate intent.  Some people, who may have skill in vocalization, or some innate talent, can cause their voice to crack on demand by relaxing the muscle control below that which delivers a consistent, "normal" vocalization.6.  Extreme cold.  This can trigger a response in the vocal cords that can be heard as a "cracking" due to the same overall mechanism of swelling or stiffness associated with disease or illness.7.  Age.  Sometimes a voice just becomes worn and old.  There may be other factors, but those are the ones I'm aware of.

Can a girl's voice crack during puberty?

Female voices definitely change over time before, during and after puberty. The change isn’t necessarily as marked as that in boys, but it’s definitely there. The sound of the voice changes - it intensifies and sometimes it gets deeper (high notes may be harder to reach; lower ones may become easier). The changing voice may not have quite as much power - but this is only temporary as the mechanism develops. This is clear to singers who use their vocal mechanism consciously and are aware of its effects and changes to it. But people who aren’t singers experience these changes too - whether you use it for singing or not, your voice is affected by physiological change.“Cracking” is when the voice “slips a gear” between registers. It’s not uncommon in boys, less so in girls (because the changes are more subtle) - but it does happen. However the “cracking” is normally much more noticeable to the individual than it is to other people listening and there’s no need to be self-conscious about it.If you are a singer, it’s wise to ask a teacher about how to handle your voice as it changes. If you aren’t - actually, it may help to start!

Why does my voice keep cracking?

either your throat is dry and you need to drink more water or you are hoarse from screaming or yelling or singing with too much force. You may have also developed vocal nodes, which requires a visit to the ENT (ear, nose, throat) doctor. Smoking can also affect your voice in this way.
(i'm assuming you are not a boy since your name is daniela. If you are then it's puberty and there's nothing you can do except practice to gain a bit of control)

How can I purposely make my voice crack?

theres not really any way to make your voice crack on purpose, unless you do something wierd like talk in a wierd high pitched voice. But screaming really loudly in a way that it harms your throat might help. I wouldn't suggest that though. especially if you like to sing :P

I'm 28 (male). Why does my voice still crack sometimes?

Your question implies that you are waiting for the voice to 'grow up'. I think you might benefit greatly from seing a speech therapist - assuming you are not a singer. Personal advise based on your question alone will be either guesswork or listing a whole calogue of causes to choose from - which should be done by a professional therapist seing and hearing you. I know of several people who got rid of similar problems this way. With the best of luck from a speech therapist and singing teacher.

Why does my voice keep cracking even if I'm an adult?

There could be several reasons. Here are a couple. It could be your hydration level. If you don't have enough hydration your voice will crack much more easily than it does when it has lots of hydration. It could also be that your vocal cords are not developed enough. What you can do, if you're trying to sing- is you may sing in tones that are below your cracking pitch and sing those tones for a year or so. Then start reaching up another half step and another half step. You need to sing,in my personal experience, three days in a row each week for a half hour to an hour without belting. Just sing. Now, on the third day before you start a four-day rest, you want to try to sing a little harder. Belt a couple times start trying to reach out to that pitch that you crack at. Get your voice to be a little bit worn out, but not too much and then rest for 4 days. Do that every week for about a year. You will develop your muscles in a couple years. It is hard to do and it takes a lot of time. Be patient and be consistent. You'll get there.
