My Voice Is Gone Completely Gone Im Freaking Out.

Do you think my cat has rabies?im freaking out!!?

I wouldn't suspect rabies. When you see an animal with rabies you'll know it.

But I'm going to take a serious stab at this because you and you're cat might have something. When cats get fleas, quickly they get infested. From what it sounds like, she is completely infested and that's NOT good. Cats go into a desperation mode when they are infested with fleas where they meow constantly. You need to get this cat to a vet RIGHT away, and then use some anti-flea medication or collars. This cat can become traumatised by being in this bad of shape. Imagine fleas over every square centimeter of your body biting you all the time :(

Get it to the vet, TODAY.

Now the other thing, about you being sick. Fleas can carry lyme's disease. And possibly your cat can transfer it in a scratch. This is a BAD thing. If your cat is weak/twitching/temporarily paralyzed, it's a good chance it's got Lyme's disease. When someone gets infected, they get flu like symptoms really fast after for about a weak.

Alot of people can get Lyme's disease and not even know they have it, but it can affect your heart, brain, nerves and take decades off your life.

Go take care of that cat seriously, I feel bad for it. And go to a doctor yourself, this sounds really possible.

The voice in my head suddenly is gone?

Similar thing happened to me. Only I had that voice/vision for less than 3 months, and my diagnosis is OCD.

After I first told that to a psychiatrist, it dissappeared. But I also stayed in a mental hospital for the next 3 months.

I think that what Anonymous said makes sense. You needed to hear that it's not real from someone else, whom you can trust.

My voice is completely gone and i am getting freaked out?

i work at an innout burger and on tuesday as i was taking orders I started losing my voice a little bit, then on wednesday i woke up without a voice, now it is thursday and i am still voice-less. I have lost my voice before but usually its just that my voice is raspy but right now I can only whisper(I only talk when i must). The only reason I am worried is because I am not sick and have not been screaming or anything.....thoughts?

Help Me im freaking out!! Just went through sleep paralysis.... and heard an evil voice!!?

Hi,

I don't usually respond to yahoo answers - but somehow your question came up.

Short and simple: You are fine.

I have empathy for you because I have also had extremely traumatic sleep paralysis experiences that leave me unwilling to go to sleep. You're less likely to develop sleep paralysis if you fall asleep on your side instead of flat on your back. Sleep paralysis occurs when you're falling into sleep and coming out of it. Just relax. You know how you recognize while you're dreaming that you're dreaming - and how you just wish you could wake up. Just let it be. Recognize that it is sleep paralysis and while it may be scary, jut let it be. Don't try and fight it, it will end naturally and with way less stress. Speaking of stress - stress can be a reason that sleep paralysis occurs, so do your best to just stay healthy (as you always should).

Good luck, you are not alone - and everything is all right.

Why does my voice sound beautiful when I sing, but when recorded, it sounds horrible?

An element worth noting in all of this is that you may be tuning your voice to what you're hearing, rather than to the acoustic of the room. When you sing, a certain percentage of the sound that you hear in real time is heard through bone, which can distort things. You may need to retrain your singing to ignore the effect of the bone, because it could be throwing you off. There's a cool trick that I love for doing this without having to record yourself all the time. Put your hand on each side up to the tragus of your ear (that little cartilage flap that's right on top of the ear opening) on each side. Put your hand there in the same position as though you were karate chopping, if that makes sense (but, obviously, gently). Then curve your fingers so that they outline the rest of your ear. You should look kind of like you're giving yourself Mickey Mouse ears if you're doing it right. Now try to speak. And try to sing, for that matter. Your voice should sound different but not THAT different. This is a pretty good approximation of what you sound like to people who aren't you. It's also a useful tool for where you should be recording your voice. Walk into a recording studio that you're thinking about using (or a room you're thinking of recording in), and try this out. If you don't feel good about the acoustic, record somewhere else!

Cold.. Lost My voice.. singing competition monday?

relax your throat, dont talk and whatever you do DONT take menthols or any throat lollies!! they make it worse and numb your throat which will make it worse the next day. im a singer and trust me that the best thing to do is gargle lemon juice-fresh- and make hot water and honey. stay away from dairy products and chocolate. there is a disinfectant throat spray in the chemist that you can buy. other than that there is nothing else you can do, because what is hurting you isnt your throat its your larics- and nothing you eat or spray will make contact with your larics, so the best thing you can do is relax and have plenty of hot fliuds and honey.

good luck :D

also if your thraot hurts by the time you have to sing then change whatever song you are singing to "Only Hope" by mandy moore. -its easy and wont stress you throat. :) tell us how you go!

I'm scared my singing voice is damaged forever?

Don't freak out, doll. You'll be fine... colds obviously wreak havoc on the vocal folds, plus your sore throat can't feel too great...

Add on to that the fact that you've been coughing for two weeks... you're going to need some time to heal!

If it just sounds bad, there's nothing wrong... you're just sick and you need to give your body some time to get over it. Sometimes nodes can develop from over-stressing a voice which is WHY people tell you not to sing, scream, or shout, but if your voice just 'sounds bad' and there aren't any breaks in the middle of your range, you should be fine. (Basically, a node is a callus that forms on the vocal fold... so there would be a few notes somewhere in the middle of your range that just wouldn't exist. Like a blank spot in your singing. But it's only been two weeks and I really, SERIOUSLY doubt this happened to you... it takes a lot of abuse to get to that point)

It sounds like you're doing exactly what you're supposed to. Keep taking in fluids. I'd suggest a day or two of complete vocal rest... no talking. And remember that whispering can be just as stressful as yelling. When I go on vocal rest, I carry around one of those mini dry erase boards so that I can still communicate with people. This should give you some extra time to heal. If this isn't an option, try to talk as little as possible.

Some of these bugs that are going around this fall are WRETCHED! They take forever to get over... even if you're starting to feel a little bit better, you probably still have something in your system. I wouldn't worry about it too much as long as you try to take care of yourself as best as you can.

If you're still not better in a few days to a week, I'd go see a regular old doctor. Not for your voice, but just for your health. If it makes you feel any better, I came down with one of those icky summer colds... the ones that NEVER go away... I couldn't sing for five weeks. I actually physically lost my voice for over a month and it was hell. For the record, my voice is back completely and sounds just as good as it did before I got sick. I'm sure that yours will too when you get better!

New kitten missing. Our new kitten has disappeared. There's no way he could have gotten outside, but we've turned the house upside down and there's no sign of him anywhere. Where could he be?

You say it’s a new kitten? The first thing new cats do after you bring them home is to disappear. That’s normal. :-)Your kitten is hiding somewhere where it feels safe, most likely under/behind/inside a piece of furniture. It will come out of hiding when it feels ready. This will be in a few hours or in a few days.Let the kitten come out when it’s ready. (By turning the house upside down, you’ve already scared the kitten, and now it’s going to hide for longer.)Your kitten will hide completely for a while. Then it will peer out of its hiding place to watch you. Once it feels confident that you pose no threat, it will allow you to see it, but it will still dart for cover if you get close. To speed up the process, move slowly and avoid making loud noises.Leave food, water and cat litter out where the kitten can see it. It will wait until you’re out of the room, and then make a quick dash to get some food, before returning to the hiding place. You can probably see that some food has been taken. This should reassure you that your kitten is safe and well. :-)My Sulu was a mine-month old kitten when I adopted him. As soon as we let him out of the carrier, he dashed somewhere - so fast that we couldn’t even see where he’d gone. For seven hours, he was not to be seen or heard. (I found out later that he had squeezed in the tiny space beneath the arm chair. I wouldn’t have thought it possible for him to fit underneath there.) Then I heard some noise on an unused radiator behind a curtain, and I knew he was exploring the parts of his new home where nobody could see him. It took a day before he ventured out to get food, and two days before he allowed me to see him. I think it was on Day 3 that he actually sat out in the open. He watched me attentively, but didn’t like it when I watched him. So I avoided looking at him, and he became more confident. After about a week, he was ready to be petted and make friends with me. We’re now close buddies. Please don’t chase and expose the kitten. Allow it to take all the time it needs. This way, it will soonest come to trust you.And stop worrying. All is well.I hope this helps.
