About 2 weeks ago, I turned my Lenovo Ideacentre desktop off by the power button and when i turned it back on, the screen was completely black. there is no cursor and I have tried to do safemode with the shift and the f8 but nothing is working. I don t know much about the computer type but i do know that it is not a laptop therefore i cannot remove the battery. Nothing on google has been able to help me and it is getting a little frustrating. Someone please help if you can and sorry i dont have much info to go off of. All i know is that the fans turn on/work & the desktop makes sounds in the background due to my IMVU that is still running so the computer works it s just the screen.

Windows 8 screen turns black after login wtf?

Like the title says, I need some help here.

I login to my computer and then the screen goes black- the only thing u can see is the cruser arrow.

I reported this to windows technical support and they basically told me they ain't gonna try to help me jus cuz my warranty supposivly ran out (ive only had it for 9 months) and that I'm on my own here.

I'm so mad that I'm ready to smash my laptop with a metal bat.

What can I do? I've never been this mad over a machine in my life.

Someone please help me, if this dosent get fixed then I'll lose so many memories and projects I'm working on.

But be careful, unhelpful info (etc. "call them again", "idk") will be reported, I don't care right now- I need real help and by typing in complete crap it jus wasting both of our time.

But somebody out there please help me! I'll give 10 points to the most helpful answer I promise.

Windows 8.1 isn't booting! It's stuck after that windows logo, showing black screen instead of login. What should I do?

Some incorrect BIOS or driver setting may have caused that. Have you installed or made any changes to system recently? You can undo same by System Restore (all settings accept BIOS settings). After 2-3 unsuccessful boot attempts, system will auto start recover mode. When started you may first start System restore to undo changes you may have done OR Choose to run in safe mode. To see if it boots. If it boots start msconfig.exe and disable services and startup items which you don't want or you suspect is creating trouble. Note you need to open Task Manager to enable/disable startup items. It is always recommended to check "Hide Microsoft services" to prevent disabling any required Windows service.OrChoose Refresh Windows without affecting files in Reset PC option (or there may be direct option).

I just bought a windows 10 HP laptop yesterday and black screen?

I was watching a video earlier on it and the screen turned white made the notification sound twice and then turned black. Now it turns on but the screen is 100% black. I drained the power, reset it 4 times, updated via an external monitor, reset the bios and still absolutely nothing.

Why do I get a black screen after I boot into Windows 8.1, Intel HD 3000?

You already gave yourself the correct answer. It should be due to the driver you installed.Boot to Safe Mode (press down F8 key after boot-up and before login screen) and revert the system to a previous state when it was working correctly by using System Restore. If it doesn't help, boot to Safe Mode and uninstall/reinstall the driver.Make sure your driver is compatible with Windows 8.1, because this can be the root of the issue, and that you have the latest version

I have an HP stream laptop with Windows 8.1. I switched it on and it's showing a blank blue screen. What can I do to resolve it?

probably ram is infected just remove ram (if you can) then try erasing (gently) on golden pin of ram by an Eraser and before putting it back make sure the waste of eraser is completely removed on golden bars on ram. Hope this works if not you need to contact your manufacturer.
