My Yahoo Mail Account Is Slow And Unresponsive

Why has Yahoo Mail become so slow and unresponsive?

I am having the same problem. The problem is likely related to the ads they’ve put all over the site now.Sometimes the ads hang-up the loading of the page, resulting in a delay in when the words I type show up in my email. It is very frustrating typing away and having the word not show up immediately as I type. If I get an ad that won’t load, the page will hang until I get the ‘page not responding’ message, forcing me to reload the page.In their quest for ad revenue dollars, Yahoo has greatly reduced the quality and reliability of their mail service.

Upgraded Yahoo Mail slow / unresponsive / not keeping up with typing?

It seems that almost all of the users have more or less the same problems with Yahoo mail. We can do nothing about, unless you opt for another mail like Gmail, Hotmail..etc. I'm keeping myself calm and patient until I see what the outcome will be.

Slow, unresponsive TI-84 calculator.?

Try deleting some of your stuff. After a while my TI-84 got slow to so I pressed 2nd then 0. It took me to the catalog section. I pressed Tan (G). It took me to the G-section of the catalog. I then pressed enter on Garbage Collect (first one). It went to a screen w/ just garbage collect. I pressed enter and pressed enter on yes. My calculator was really fast after that.

Does your Yahoo Mail receive mail slower than GMail does?

In my experience, yes it does. When I sign up for apps, they would usually send a verification email before finishing the account. Even just a few days ago, I made an account with my Yahoo mail on a website and they sent me a verification email. I checked my Yahoo mail and it wasn’t there! Checked my spam, trash, everything.I got fed up and decided to use my GMail to make the account. The verification email appeared in my mailbox instantaneously. I checked my Yahoo mail an hour later and finally saw the verification mail.I have been using my Yahoo mail for over 10 years and have so many precious emails and threads from the past such as birthday wishes from my family members. However, I must now use my GMail as my primary email and preserve my Yahoo Mail as a reminiscent of the past.Does anyone else have this same issue?

Yahoo Mail running slow on mac?

I’m on a MacBook Pro, OSX (10.6.8), using Safari/Chrome/Firefox.

Since Yahoo Mail was redesigned recently, it’s been running ridiculously slowly. Everything else works fine. I thought at first it was just completely unresponsive, but did a test and found delays of up to 22 seconds to execute tasks. Makes it basically impossible to use.

I’d be grateful for any suggestions.

Why is my Laptop so laggy, slow and unresponsive ?

Okay so I have spent real time trying to sort this issue out, but I'm getting nowhere.

So I have a HP Envy 14" notebook with,

- Intel Core i5 Processor
- CPU @ 2.30 GHz
- 4.00 GB of RAM
- 500GB Hard Drive
- 64 Bit OS
- Windows 7 Home Premium

Though the machine is sometimes okay it just has moments when it won't do anything quickly or even at all which just ruins whatever I am trying to do at the worst possible times.

"Irritatingly Inconsistent" is an accurate description of the machine

The Laptop worked fine until it was about a year old when it started struggling with even the most basic tasks, I can be just Word Processing for example and the screen will just freeze up for 5 - 10 seconds, I continue typing and the words all appear at once. Using chrome to surf the web is a nightmare as well it often decide's to become unresponsive for a half a minute or so until it re-stabilizes. In-fact almost all programs I use become unresponsive now and again but usually respond again after half a minute or so.

Most programs that I run on it usually have some sort of difficulty opening up to the extent where I can be waiting nearly a minute just to open a browser or my documents. If I have several different tabs open the problem worsens which doesn't help anything. I used to edit videos on Sony Vegas 11.0 but that became almost impossible as the laptop just couldn't seem to handle it at all. Video streaming and playback isn't great but I can put that down to slow internet connection.

When I bought this Laptop I didn't expect to be have such problems with it so soon, as far as I'm am concerned it's still quite a good laptop but it always seems to slip up at the most basic times.

I have tried,

- Scanning for Viruses
- Defragmentation of Hard Drive
- Removing any Programs that I don't need.
- Disk Cleanup
- Freeing up Disk Space
- Changing start-up settings
- Uninstalling and RE-installing various programs.

I could go on. But now i'm rambling.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks.

My computer randomly became extremely slow, unresponsive?

I have an HP Elitebook 6930p laptop. I have had it for one year and the other night it started becoming really slow. I bought this computer from a local refurbishing laptop outlet. I am not very happy with them because I bought this laptop from them not knowing they installed an non-genuine copy of Windows 7. I have taken it back to them 3 times for them to fix it, and each time it seems like they did nothing, but they did offer to "fix" it for free each time. Eventually I figured out how to renew Windows 7 every 30 days myself, should I take it back to them and have them "fix" my laptop again, buy a new harddrive and copies of Windows 7 & Microsoft Office, or just buy a Mac iBook G4 on Amazon for less than $100?

When it started becoming slow I was watching a youtube video and it froze and everything became unresponsive, so I turned off my laptop, and left it sitting for about an hour for it to recover. I turned it back on and it was still really slow, even the startup is noticeably slower. The windows logo took about 2-4 minutes to show up, when it usually shows up right away on startup regularly. When it's slow webpages seem to take forever to load, more than an hour or two, even when opening anything on the desktop.

This laptop has also been having problems with the graphics driver. I only watch youtube videos and use social networking. The screen will suddenly go black and sometimes I have to restart it in order to get a picture back, but other times the screen will go black, and come back on it's own. I thought this was a problem with not enough free space, but I have more than enough space available. I ran a virus scan and it found nothing. I even ran the three default HP tests for Memory and Hard Disk and they all passed.

It will also work at it's normal speed but then go back to being slow, it is very rare I will be able to use it when it's being slow. How can I get it back up to it's normal speed? I've tried everything from stopping background programs and uninstalling unnecessary programs.

Why won't Yahoo Mail load?

Could be any number of things. It loads just fine for me. In Chrome, IE, Firefox, on the WiiU browser, on mobile devices, on multiple computers.Could be your ISP. could be the specific server your account hits, based on geography. Could be your router, your modem, the L3 switch. There's not enough to go on. Is it just waiting? Timing out? Getting an error message? Anything? What have you tried? Did you try a different browser? Did you clear your cache?

Why do I keep getting Unresponsive Script error messages Yahoo Mail; laptop slows down?

Hi Steven,

It is a known issue. Yahoo and Firefox are aware of this and there is a workaround to resolve this issue.

You need to raise the default script execution time. Here’s how:

• Type "about:config" in your Firefox address box.
• Below the address box you’ll now see another long, empty rectangle – the Filter box. Here, type "dom.max_script_run_time". Or just copy and paste it from here to there – but without the quotes.
• Right-click on this row, and select Modify.
• Replace “5” with “30” to raise the default maximum to 30 seconds.

If the issue persists, you may try the following steps:

1) Try clearing the browser cache or reset the browser to default factory settings. You will find the detailed instructions for same from the browser developer's website.

2) Try an alternate browser like Chrome, IE etc. and see if the issue persists.

3) If the system exhibit same behavior, you may perform system restore and restore it to the date prior this issue occurred. All the data on computer will be safe but the applications that you have installed after that restore point, you might need to re-install it. For more information on this, you may refer to link: http://bit.ly/10Y7wsp

Hope this helps.

Thanks and Regards,
