I have an old YouTube account with 5k subscribers from random videos, so what can I do? There isn't a clear direction for the type of videos on there yet, but I fear making it specific such as a music cover YouTube account will lose subscribers.
A small time Youtuber has a right to have various topics/videos on their channel and having it converge on one topic will presumably take time. If you want to go that direction i suggest going slow with what normally you upload then making just one type of video thereafter. This would ultimately take a month or so to at least let your viewers know that you are changing the direction of yout channel.I personally have almost 9k with Dubbing Comics and Video game content. With various misc. on the side. I prefer different videos on my channel cause i know there are many people out there that like something i like doing. You might lose some subs if you converge on one niche, but it shouldn't hurt your numbers that badly. It really shouldn't be a problem.

What you are asking isn't currently possible.... Not exactly anyway. What you can do is have one channel's URL redirect to the other. If you don't know how or don't have access to the feature, you should contact your MCN and they can help you further.Other than that, I really would recommend sticking to one channel if possible. That's because you've got a 'Google+' account, or your YouTube name has 2 words, 2 names, or a space. You can change the channel URL, but you won't be able to comment, reply or rate videos/comments with the account. :-( Therefore be extra careful and consider if that is what you really want to do: 1 -- Click your avatar at the top-right of the screen 2 -- Click "YouTube settings" 3 -- Click the 3rd line beside your avatar: "Return name to [your Youtube name], and disconnect Google+ profile" 4 -- After doing so, the last line will read "Your Google+ profile will be disconnected from your YouTube channel" 5 -- Click "OK" 6 -- You will then get the green message "Your channel name is now [your YouTube name], and is no longer connected with your Google+ profile" (Warning: DO NOT delete your Google+, because that will also delete your YouTube account.)

I'm a gamer on youtube who started 3 months ago. Since then I have gained 27 subscribers (Half family and friends half random people). when I started I wasnt expecting immediate results. But I look around youtube and i see new youtubers with a channel up for 2 months and already 100 subscribers. I dont know if I'm just not being patient enough or not releasing enough videos. The only tiny succes ive had was with one video that got over 100 views in 2 days.
