Myrtle Beach Spring Break For College Students

Myrtle Beach For Spring Break?!?

Definetly get a condo or rent a beach house. I'm sorry but I don't have any links. Myrtle beach is a tad chilly in March, don't expect to see bikini clad women everywhere. If the "shark club" still exists then that is the best place for nightlife. There are plenty of beaches in Myrtle... Cherry Grove, North Myrtle, etc. The majority of the people will be in the "tourist" area of myrtle beach, also staying here will allow you to walk everywhere u need to go (trust me you do not want to be driving and having to find parking)

Spring Break in Myrtle Beach.?

My friends and I are planning on going to Myrtle Beach for Spring Break (March 6-13), and I was wondering where the hottest spots for college students would be. So far we have been looking at the Ocean Forest Villas on North Ocean Blvd, or the Holiday Inn Vacation Club. I'm just worried that I we are looking at the wrong part of the beach.

Where can I avoid college students on Spring Break in the South?

Have you thought about heading North instead? Most college students go South to get to the warmer wether. NewYork and Vermont have lots of places to see and things to do especially if you like the mountians. You could avoid the college Spring Breakers and save your sanity.
You definately want to avoid Florida's beaches especially around Daytona and Orlando. I am not sure about Myrtle Beach.

Question for College Students? Spring Break?

My daughter and her friends (students at an East Coast university) went to Myrtle Beach and Virginia Beach on spring break (different years, obviously). They rented a house in Myrtle Beach and a condo in Virginia Beach. The girls made the arrangements themselves, cooked their meals while they were down there to save money, and partied with guys they knew, but mostly they spent their time working on their tans on the beach or poolside. The girl who made the arrangements collected money ahead of time to pay for the rental, the food and any other fees. My daughter paid for her spring break trip herself out of money she earned the previous summer at her summer job.

Last one first: Definitely go by train. There is a train every two hours throughout the day, there are some great views to enjoy on your way (consider stopping in Lugano, just before the border, for a beautiful walk along the lake), it takes only just over 4 hours from city centre to city centre, the border control (onboard the train) is very quick and easy, and you can buy the tickets on the spot for just under 70 euros, I think. You of course do not NEED a laptop, but if you have a light one, it's a nice thing to have in hostels and hotels, where wifi generally is available for free. Bring a padlock to secure that and other expensive stuff you may carry in provided lockers, if you stay at hostels.I'm all for going with hostels if there are just the two of you. You'll meet lots of interesting people, and if you do some basic research, you should be able to find some really nice hostels. The cheaper you go, the more they'll remind you about spring break at home, though.

What are popular Spring Break spots for College Students in the US?

Its all approximately economies of scale. Take one hotel room at $one hundred according to night, chop up it between as a lot of human beings as you could slot in, and the value gets lots decrease according to guy or woman. the comparable works with transportation, and nutrition may be got here upon at events and happy hours. of direction, we never comprehend which of those scholars has a carry on registration for being late with expenses or is vacationing on unpaid lease money.

How busy is Myrtle Beach at Spring Break?

I live in SC and have been going to Myrtle since I was a kid.

Generally, it's not so bad when Spring Break is in March. You can't swim yet and if it's at all windy, the beach is pretty chilly & uncomfortable (the sand stings when blown). Starts getting warm here around mid to late April.
I looked at their web site and Canadian American Days are Mar 8-16. So there will be more then usually.

Be aware that Myrtle is now fairly busy year round with all of the shopping and golf courses.

If you are looking for a vacation to swim, I'd suggest going either first half of May before school ends or in Sept after Labor Day when it is still warm but school is back in session. Anytime in the summer is totally jammed.
