Nair Hair Removal Burned My Lip

I Burned my upper lip with a nair hair removal cream like 2 years ago nd it left a dark spot mark?

It will gradually fade over time. Apply cool moist compresses for about 20 minutes twice a day. Try a cold milk compress. Whole milk is best. The milk is soothing and will help reduce the redness and promote healing.

How to help burn from Nair hair removing cream?

Dear God!!!! Nair is like napalm. They should outlaw it- seriously. You have a chemical-type burn. I think they sell a dipilitory neutralizing cream- this may help. I don't know if it's made by Nair or not. Also, lidocaine cream would help or maybe just vaseline to replenish some moisture and protect. Nair is scary- I highly recommend that you never use it again. It liquifies the hair down in your pores and you can't wipe or rinse it off. You're just stuck with liquified hair in your skin- it's SO gross. Live and learn I guess.

How long does it take for a Nair facial hair removal burn to heal?

It takes about 1 day at the most depending on the severity of the burn. For me personally, it goes away after 4 hours.

Apply a cool (not freezing) towel to the reddened area and hold it there for 1 minute. Dry your skin and then apply a thin layer of vaseline. You only need to do this twice for one day. Do not apply any makeup to the reddened area. Give your skin time to breathe. To avoid burns in the future, do not leave Nair on your face for more than 30 seconds. On your legs, it's necessary to leave it on for a number of minutes, but the skin on your face is a lot more sensitive.

I used hair removal cream on my upper lip, and i have a slight burn, what should i do?

I know exactly how that feels, I did the same thing a few months ago, but the depilatory cream was applied under my eyebrow, burnt the area, and my eye was swollen shut for a few days; in addition my eyelid stuck to my eyebrow arch :/ The area was RED for quite a while, but luckily, I got ice on it no more than five minutes after, applied Neosporin to the area, and covered it with medical grade gauze. If you keep the wound saturated with Neosporin/iced for a week, it should feel worlds better. Another thing: DO NOT apply any cosmetics to the area, that will just agitate the area further.
(Sadly, you may be left with a slight scar after all is said and done)

I just used hair removal cream for my upper lip and it burns?

It sounds like you may have given yourself a chemical burn from too much repeated use of the product. If you haven't already, thoroughly wash the area to make sure there is no residual hair remover in your pores, then if you have some Bacitracin ointment, apply it as soon as you can and put it on after washing your face each day until it starts feeling better. You can use Neosporin, but Bacitracin is better. You can get it over the counter at any pharmacy.

Hopefully your burn isn't serious...if it is, there may be some scabbing later on while it heals.

If I were you, I would avoid using hair removal products on the face altogether. Your skin may just be too sensitive for it, even the facial formula.

What should I do if I burned my vaginal area with Nair?

I’ve done it. Wipe off the excess gently, rinse it all off in the shower, and combine water with baking soda to neutralize the acid burn, rinse, gently dry, and apply “acid mantel cream” which will rebalance your pH and/or a petroleum-based ointment like Neosporin (or Vaseline).Next time, cover all the hoo-ha with Vaseline or a few layers of junk underwear to create a barrier.

Why does cream for hair removal burn?

I have sensitive skin and had the same problem before I found a hair removal cream suitable for my skin type. It’s possibly is burning if your skin is too sensitive for the product which is totally understandable as they hairs are removal by chemicals in the cream itself. To avoid burning, always make sure you never exceed the time when the cream is applied on the skin and don’t ever rub it in or apply it to any broken skin.If it’s burning then perhaps you should try a different product. I found a hair removal cream for sensitive skin on this blog Hair Removal Cream For Women and Men | TOP 9 this Month.

Nair (the hair removal product) burnt my skin really bad. Can I sue?

Last Saturday, I used the product on my hand and arm. It said to leave the product for 3 minutes or so. I left it on for 30 seconds because I felt like my arm was on fire. I quickly took a wet towel to wipe it off, and saw my own skin being removed. I cried my eyes out, I was panicking and my hand was three colors (purple, red and bleach white). It was a day before my wedding and it ruined everything for me. Since we don't have insurance, we my fiance and mother took me to the nearest CVS and they gave me some stuff that made my hand itch and burn less. It was and still is a disaster, I look like a monster. I, with all honesty, want to see them. I read all the directions and guidelines very well. It's been 8 days now, and although it looks a bit better, it looks like a bunch of cats attacked me, not to mention that I can't bear anyone touching my hand (and I am supposed to be in my honeymoon now!). Any ideas? I really want to sue the company, but don't even know w thing about legal stuff. Do I even have a case? Thanks a million in advance

What should you do if you burn your vaginal area with Nair and it burns when you pee?

Besides the obvious “see a doctor,” I can tell you what helped me when I was a teen and tried using Nair for a bikini wax: Vaseline. It'll coat the skin and leave it moist near that area while it heals from being irritated. Particularly when you go to use the bathroom, apply it where it burns and hope for the best.On a note you probably are aware of now: Nair should NEVER be used close to your genitals. It's fine around the bikini line area (right where your underwear or bikini would end and hair may show). But otherwise: keep it away! The main ingredients in Nair (and products like it) are calcium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide - otherwise known as lime and lye! They work by breaking down the structural bonds holding your hair together - and as you now know, your skin.Drink a lot of water. You’ll pee more, but…it'll dilute your urine which will make it burn the irritated skin less.Next time opt for a wax. It's somewhat painful in the moment (until you get them frequently enough) but otherwise it's no pain at all!
