it may be Fruits Basket: Tohru Honda is 16 year old orphaned girl who gets invited to live in the house of her classmate, the handsome boy Sohma Yuki, and his cousins, 16 year old Kyo and 27 year old Shigure. However, these young men and parts of the rest of their family (both close and distant) hold a curse; if they are hugged by the opposite gender, they transform into animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Everyday is an adventure for sweet Tohru, as she gets to know everyone in the large family better (especially Yuki and Kyo), in both common and bizarre situations. But, the Sohma Family curse is certainly no laughing matter... it also holds horrible cruelity and heartbreak. Edit: Okay, if it's supposed to be more historical it's dfinitely not fruits basket. I have a keychain I bought at an anime con and I lost the paper that came with it to tell me the name of the anime it was from. I remember googling it a long time ago when I first got it. It's almost like Tokyo Mew Mew in the concept that the girls turn into animals like puppies and kitties and monkeys, however, it's not Tokyo Mew Mew. Or Fruits Basket. It was something very obscure that I had never heard of before. EDIT: It's not Animal GIrl. It's possibly Angel Tales but I'm not sure since I can't seem to find any pictures of the girls as their respective animals. My keychain is of a pink long eared puppy/bunny type thing with hearts on the tips of it's ears and on the tip of it's tail. There is also a yellow one with blue markings on it and a tail shaped like a star, it appears to be a short eared puppy thing.
