Calvin Harris and David Guetta don't sing. How are they allowed to take full credit for songs they never uttered a word?
When you say "take full credit" I'll assume you're referring to the ownership of their songs or simply put, the fact that they get to be cited as the main artist while the vocalists settle for their names after a "ft" at best. Think about it this way, would you expect Beethoven to belt his heart out in a performance of every one of his compositions before he could lay claim to his work? If you think it surprising that they get to "take full credit" for just composing and producing songs without even "uttering a word", then let me shock you by sharing this: One does not even need to have any artistic contribution to a song whatsoever before they can take full credit for it. (think DJ Khaled) If you put a vocalist, a composer, and a producer in a studio and ask them to churn out a billboard hit for you, work out a compensation and agree on terms, including the fact that their services are being offered as 'work for hire', then you can go ahead and slap your name boldly in the credits, leaving them all out. Not only can you do this but you could even sue them for copyright infringement, were they to use that song without obtaining a license from you.

For me, there is a Boney M song which is of course not so popular as compared to the other songs of this band. But this song very nicely depicts the fact that the time is the best healer.
