Do you think humanity is finished with technological breakthroughs?
Not at all. People have been thinking that forever and look where we are.Just look at all the things on the horizon:Fusion Power. OK way over the horizon, but still probable in the distant future.Augmented reality. Google glass failed, but it’s more a social-technological problem that can be solved.Carbon nanotubes, graphene.Quantum computersThe next generation of computers. Something eventually will replace the integrated circuit.You probably can name others.I think this way sometimes and it’s because every breakthrough takes a while before they’re used widely. Think of all the things that had to happen before we have the smart phone. It wasn’t one breakthrough but many. Low power microprocessors, cell transmission, tiny cameras, and GPS to name a few. I didn’t know about low power microprocessors until the Apple Newton, and it failed miserably. Eventually PDAs got their feet under them and we just took it for granted.Most of us interact with mature technologies in our daily lives. I look at my smart phone and think should I upgrade to the next one? It won’t be that much better. We’re not making much progress. But I don’t see all the breakthroughs that happened over 40 years to make that phone.Just my two cents. :)
Is it possible that humans have had technology before Jesus existed and before religion ,but something hit the earth 10000s years ago.?
I keep getting in arguments with my college class mates ,they keep saying it's impossible ,But I feel that if the earth got wiped out then all of the advance technology humans created 1000's if not Millions of years ago is gone!.

The Industrial Revolution influenced the economic and social life of present society because of the simple fact that it was considered a REVOLUTION. Because of the different advances in technology and ideology behind advancing in both education and science. The Industrial Revolution changed a great deal of things that has instilled a sense of wanting more and more today in all fields of science. The economy boomed because of faster production rate and easier manufacturing, and social life changed drastically from making things at home to going to department stores. Agriculturally, economically, socially, and ideologically... The Industrial revolution has influenced the way ALL countries today have tried to succeed in becoming world powers. Story character names for amateur novel?
I am thinking about writing a short novel out of entertainment for myself and family. The story will be about post apocalypse, year 2248. The population died off 100 years before that in a world wide war. Nobody can remember what had happened before the war. Nobody understands the rubble and broken down technology. It seems that everybody is content with their lives. That is, until the secret weapon is discovered. Man made a weapon that wiped out humanity, and It's not human at all... In fact, scientists have morphed the DNA of humans with wolves. So these were-wolves were used as weapons to kill, and only kill, not knowing emotions. They were lost, until 100 years after the war, confused and afraid. This story has a lot of storyline not yet thought out. I am now looking for suggestions for names and personalities. I am thinking of having: Teenage male protagonist Teenage female protagonist Adult male in 40's who is antagonist and afraid of were-wolves two were-wolf men one were-wolf woman one were-wolf leader, current name - Wulfric (Meaning wolf-power or wolf-ruler) [can be changed] and any more names and characteristics helpful.
