What is the worst kpop group name?
I love kpop but some of the names are just ridiculous. So choose any of these which is the worst or tell me any you got in mind, tell me your favorite name and make up a group name. I will give ten point to the most creative. MBLAQ ( Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality) really? couldnt make up a better acronym SeeYa ( See You Always + See You Again) H.O.T. (High-five Of Teenagers) nice acronym but not so much for the meaning Baby V.O.X. (Baby Voices of Xpression) shaking my head F(x) (Flower + Female’s Double X-Chromosome) knew math and science in music was just a bad idea BEAST (Boys of the East Standing Tall) / B2ST (Boys to Search for Top) what? are they searching for T.O.P b/c they can find him in bigbang but the first one is okay Girls Generation- what does this even mean? even though i'm a girl this is too cheesy. U-Kiss (Ubiquitous Korean International Super Star) i actually love this one. really creative but the average person does not know what ubiquitous means but at least i know!! The name is related to royalty, which these girls definitely deserve from their hard work from predebut times to now. Tiaras are smaller, but somewhat cuter versions of crowns, which give respect to older generations of groups if you look into the name closely.Fandom Name:Since the group name is Tiara, the fandom name could be something also related to royalty. I would name the fandom Diamond (in Korean: 다이아몬드) . Info on the Kpop group Exo?
I'm pretty new to K-pop XD I mean I have heard song's of SHINee and others, but recently my two Korean friends (along with my other friends) have been talking about Exo and how amazing they are. They have shown me music videos of them and a few songs. Can people please tell me all the info they know about Exo and such? XD I really do like them, but don't really know anything about them. Also, there's 12 of them right? How do I remember them all? Is there a picture of them that has their names on it? XD Please don't send me just a link to their website. Why is BTS blowing up out of all of the KPOP groups?
i personally believe this is due to a mix of factors:something new: the western media/music industry had just lost one of its biggest boy groups (one direction) and group/band culture within the western music industry began to die down roughly a short while after little mix won the x factor. with this gap in the industry, i believe bighit decided to push forward in american/western promotions for bts, and as they were the "first" kpop act to do so, they flourished;army: without a shadow of doubt is bts' success carried by army, the name of bts' fanbase. they have been by bts' side since the beginning, and since their viral success of i need u, fire, and dope, gp interest within south korea had grown to the point where anybody knew their name, and not just south korea- many international armys (dubbed i-lovelies by the k-armys) already had strong support for bts;globalisation: i personally believe that the more korean culture or korea became more prominent within western media, the more desensitised the public would be towards kpop acts, such as bts. this lead to most western media outlets labelling bts as one of the biggest kpop acts internationally;lastly, clout: i strongly believe that (and i think this is an unpopular opinion) most western influencers or media outlets don't really care about bts, their history, or their music, and that they're using bts' name to attract headlines and clicks on the internet by way of fans. this, however, is common within media of any kind, by as bts are one of the first kpop acts to grace western screens, their name became more so a general label for people to recognise "kpop" by.these are some of the reasons why i believe bts (in particular) have blown up in popularity within western media.thank you to everyone who requested my answer!
