It pretty much depends on what they do when you're around them or sometimes appearances. For example, everyone calls me Panda or Panda Bear because I am obsessed with them. I call one of my friends, Smiley, because she always has a smile on her face. I call my one of male friends, Tigger, because he is so full of energy and is always bouncing around. I call, my other male friend, Bubba, because he always has Hubba Bubba Bubblegum in his jean pockets or car, he calls his sister Bubbles, because she is bursting with life. So it just really depends on what happens when you're spending time with them.

Why do my friends call me names and treat me like crap?
Firstly, those people aren’t truly your friends if they call you names and treat you like crap (learned that lesson the hard way, and recently too). Friends are supposed to build you up, be supportive, and love you for who you are. That includes treating you well and calling you by your name, not names that are meant to degrade you. Friends like that are usually out for personal gain and only serve to manipulate you. I’ll stop ranting about that now (sorry!).Your friends are probably jealous of you. Whether it is because you have good relationships with other people, you’re more accomplished than them, or you are what they want to be but aren’t naturally, and they’re going to keep taking out that hatred on you. If you notice that they’re constantly calling you stupid, or ugly, then it probably means the exact opposite. However, most people usually play on talents or aesthetics, so don’t apply this to personality shaming or complimenting.However, there is a difference between good-natured sarcasm and banter, and being rude. If they’re being sarcastic and its their personality, or if they’re bantering because that’s also part of their personality, then tell your friends not to do that to you. This might be the case, and talking to them about it will probably fix the problem. Use “I” phrases to prevent defensiveness because you’re calling them out on a behavior. If looking back you realize that these “friends” are just plain rude, then don’t talk to them about it and terminate the relationship(s). Get yourself a new group of friends, because you could probably do a lot better.

Why did a good friend never call me by my name?
I can try and answer this but I'm not sure it will clarify anything for you. I have never refered to my husband by his name to his face, we have been married for 16 years this Friday, I only use his name when referring to him when speaking to someone else, or if absolutely necessary to attract his attention in a busy place, but I would feel very uncomfortable doing it. I was the same with my previous husband - married for 9 years, and each of my previous boyfriends that I can remember.I don't have a problem with any work colleague and most friends and use their names often while chatting. But I do not use my best friend's name when speaking to her and can remember being similar with close friends at school. I also avoid relatives names like Aunts and Uncles and even my sister when speaking to them directly.So looking back it seems that the closer I am to someone the less I feel comfortable using their name. It actually feels physically uncomfortable for me to use it, I cannot begin to explain why - it feels embarassing, maybe someone answering this for you might give me a clue as to why I do this. I've always assumed I was odd in this but maybe it isn't just me.Perhaps your friend is the same and she doesn't use your name precisely because she is very close to you.I watch this thread with interest.

ItWell, we have ones for exes, and running jokes amongst some of the friends we have. (My husband and I, and the friends we share) so one we have one name for my husband's ex before me and she was the slore. Or is rather. Slut/whore= slore. She is a whore but is too ugly to be paid. Something like that. Also our friend got married, was rushed into it.. (modern gunshot wedding) and we took bets to see how long it would last. Husband just won at a year. So, another friend got married.. he is a running joke. Essentially he was a tool. And before he some how got married to this girl with a doctorate in something or other.. (still no idea- maybe it was her? Maybe she pulled some voodoo magic out of a textbook somewhere or something.. ?) Anyways we joke about having a deli counter set up taking numbers.. all of a sudden you hear,”now serving number 48, now serving number 48″.. and it's just more because we couldn't keep names correct. Or straight, so we just had numbers. We numbered the girls we started seeing. So we would see four, five , and six. And we might see six, or five and not four. So that was just great we would be like ,”number six pass me the remote!!”
