Why did the NBA Live series fail?
2k had a bigger budget for their NBA games, allowing them to put more money towards graphics and gameplay. NBA 2k started selling more and making more because their games were better, leading to them completely eclipsing NBA live. NBA live 16 has the same looking graphics and gameplay as 2k14, so obviously consumers will buy the better game for the same price. NBA 2k is the face of the franchise for 2k, whereas NBA live is not for EA.
Why do people hate on Nba live 10 so much?
Live 10 isn't even out yet. And it always looks good every year. Thats the only thing Live has over 2k. Is the graphics. Gameplay sucks and will always suck compared to 2k. EDIT: WOW! I just saw the Live 10 demo on youtube and damn. It does look really, really good. very realistic. But most likely 2k10 gameplay will be better. Like always.

NBA 2K19 has a better playerbase, and more people have it. Live is just a downgraded version of that with less players, and has just been worse ever since 2K13 came out. I play 2k19 almost every day and I love it. Buy 2K19 and not live i know for a fact you will prefer 2k19 over live.
