Necessary Document To Present My Painting To The Museum

Is art necessary? If yes, then why?

Yes, it bloody hell does.Everything you see today is some form of art, particularly, visual arts.Just consider about it for a second. Quora logo was designed by visual artist. The logo color was picked by at least an artist. The Quora profile circular photo frame was a design choice—it could have been square if they wanted it to be. The “Home” icon, the “Answer” icon, “Notification” icon, the shape of the badges on them—everything is practically bits and pieces of art, presumably decided by an artist. Then you look at other more mundane things you see everyday, such as product ads, movie posters, the mug design on your cupboards, the shape of chairs under your dinner table—all of these things were created through some artistic, aesthetic considerations. They don’t just pop-up like that out of nowhere. We also have to remember that visual art is the oldest form of art known to human beings. Early human civilizations relied heavily on things like cave paintings to “transfer” their knowledge before language and letters were trendy.Serra da Capivara, Piauí, Brazil. Where would we be if not because our ancestors used art to tell their kids, which kind of animal they have to watch out for, when they’re playing innocently on the open savannah?More of my recent answers regarding visual arts:Teguh Li's answer to How does visual language communicate ideas?Teguh Li's answer to In general, what do you think about art?Teguh Li’s answer to What do you think of products made just for the sheer fact of functionality, I mean products made in communist countries like the USSR. Could their design also considered art?Cheers.

What is the best black, permanent marker to use over acrylic paint? Don't say Sharpie.?

I AM going to say Sharpie simply because you apparently aren't familiar with their full line of products.

Sharpie manufactures and sells a line of artist product called Sharpie Paint Pens that is basically real artist paints in a marker type pen. Because it is as permanent as any oil or acrylic paint it is very popular among serious artists. I've used Sharpie Paint Pens for years to outline specific types of figurative paintings I've done and I know a number of other serious artists who use them as well. And the black is true black, the white is true white and they offer a number of other colors. And Sharpie Paint Pens come in various point sizes, down to fine and very fine.

And just about every fully stocked artists supply store will carry these Paint Pens.

Here is a link to a type of painting style I call 'Painted Drawings' in which I use the Paint Pen (black with the fine point or white fine point) to draw in the outlines and regular paint to add the colors. All of the lettering, as well as the white on black portraits, was created with Paint Pens while the monochrome portraits and the rest of the painting was painted with Golden Acrylic Paint:

What to do about this painting?

My family has had these Heinz Stoecker paintings with us for a very long time, apparently he is a distant relative of ours. I think we have somewhere around 5 or 7 of his paintings, some signed, most not signed (because they were meant for family). I recently found out that he's very well known, I've researched him online and seen his paintings on websites, but I've never seen any photos of the paintings that we own (for obvious reasons). What do we do about these paintings, we don't intend on selling really, but I'm sure many people would love to see what they've been missing.

Im 17 and would like an abortion performed. my parents CANNOT get involved (religously strict)WASHINGTON STATE?

Im 17, and i recently have become pregnant (less and three weeks of time) and i need an abortion done. I need to live my life and having a child would obviously severly hinder that. I need to know, can i go to a facility in washington state and have one done for free? ive read there are help programs for people with low income (pretty sure no income is low income?) so i would like to know

Is this possible to get done without parental involvement?
Where can i get it done?

What is your favorite pair of Doc Martens? Do you own them or want them?

These are my favourite DMs, I own them all.1.) 1460, Tattoo collection, artwork by OT Tattoo from Tokyo:2.) 1460, Tate Museum limited edition, William Blake, from the paint “Satan Smiting Job with Sore Boils”, ca. 1826 :Here you have the original paint :In both cases, these are your classic DM 1460 with the thick leather that takes time to break-in.3.) 1460 ‘Pascal’, Tate Museum limited edition, JMW Turner “Fishermen at Sea”, 1796. Cristal Suede (crackle leather)As for all ‘Pascal’, the leather is softer and thinerthan the classic thick rigid one. The crackle ‘Cristal Suede’ was deliberately chosen to look like multi-centuries old paintings. No need to break-in with these.4.) Rigal Knit, Burgundy/Oxblood. These are NOT your classic DM at all, you can see these as some kind of high sneakers instead. they’re of a ultra-comfy fleece-lined fabric. Unlike most of DMs, they’re very light to wear and may become your favourite sleepers! The most comfy and light DM I own.And the only ones I hadn’t to buy one size over my usual one.5.) The Wilbur II ‘sneakers’ in NuBuck (Suede) leather :still, they have the ‘classic’ sole, so they’re you’re heaviest sneakers ;-)6.) 1461 ‘Oxford shoes’, Tate Museum limited edition, William Blake, from the paint “The House of Death”, 1795/ca.18057.) COMBS Canvas Indigo (fabric). Those you need if you still want to wear your DM ankle boots during the summer8.) Sandales CREWE (because summer was really too hot last year, even for the Wilbur-II, the 1461 or the COMBS :2 scratches, ultra solid military fabric.9.) The “classic” model 1460 in black. Is it necessary to show a picture since everybody knows these?Near all were purchased during clearance sales, promos, etc. because, well, the usual prices are pretty expensive. When you have a 40–60–70% price cut, it’s becoming really interesting. My regrets : not having been able to get the Rigal in blue and black and the JMW Turner “The Decline of the Carthaginian Empire”

Who was the first successful african american artist?
