I need a female character name for my story?

It's a dark storie where a woman tries to commit suscide. Once out of the hospital emergancy room she starts having dark dreams that are like past memories. The dreams are so real that she thinks they are past memories. During her waking hours she dodges crazy parents, meets a male merman that looks like the guy she sees in her dreams, and ends up going to the dark dead world where her memories were at. Long story short she rescues the guy gains a magical sward that's Excaliber's sister sword. The guy is under a enternal sleep like sleeping beauty.
The woman is brave, pretty, darkhaired, funny, and intelligent.

What's the story behind your dog's name?

I’m not sure about everyone else, but my family has always named our pets after things that have some importance to us (unless they already had names before we adopted them and didn’t want to change the names).I’m going back as long as I can remember as some of our pets were named before I was born and I don’t know the meaning:Elsy (cat): Named after Lara Croft from Tomb Raider. This is because one of my family pass-times when we were younger was gathering around and trying to solve the puzzles in the earlier Tomb Raider games. Elsy originally started as L.C and then we made it a name to put on her vet certificates.Lara (German Shepherd): Named after Lara Croft from Tomb Raider.Lulu (Weimaraner): Already named Lulu and her full pedigree name was Diamond Lulu so we felt no need to change this.Harley (Doberman): Was named because she was incredibly fast at running so I named her after the bike.Little One (mungrel cat): She was tiny when we got her and called her little one, as she grew older she didn’t grow much in size and by the time she was 5 years old she still looked like she was around 6 months old so the name Little One stuck.Monkfish (tabby cat): I adopted her for my mom when I moved to Barcelona, the name Monkfish seemed funny at the time. We still call her Monkfish although my mom is trying to convince us she’s change it to something else.Gonzo (pitbull mix): Gonz was quite difficult to name as we couldn’t think of anything. But both me and my ex had a love for ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’ and decided to name her after Dr Gonzo, the drug dealing lawyer. This also made sense as her name in the rescue centre was Aspen (where Hunter S. Thompson was originally from).Explaining then name Gonzo is a result of a drug dealing lawyer often gets funny looks, so now we stick to that she looks like Gonzo from the Muppets. As you can see, our pets have all taken on different names for various different reasons. We’ve never gone for straight forward names and never named the animals after people - although we all find pets that are given human names funny.

Can I have the same character with two names in a story?

You can do whatever you want with your book and your characters. Don't ever think, "My readers will be confused by this, so I shouldn't include it," as it will never help you to become a better writer. Sometimes the best books need to be read a couple times to be completely understood anyway. A character having two names is no big deal, especially if the story is told in first-person (even if it's not, it's not hard to put two and two together). It's not hard to remember, "Oh, this guy's name is actually Jack, but others know him as Pat." If that's your character's choice, stick with it, because that is your character's choice. Your readers should be smart enough to know that.
