Need A New Mmorpg To Play.

A good mmorpg to play?

i've been looking for a new game to play. mmorpg preferrably. but not necessarily. im open to anything basically.
i want a game that wont get boring quickly and i hope to play it for a long time.
i've played games like runescape and maplestory.
i was just trying to download gunbound as suggested by a friend, but when i tried to set up. it just said "checking setup files" or something. and it wouldn't work. reading about it, nobody has given a solution to this. so i dont think it works on my comp (vista)

anyway.
so if anybody knows a free game that is good. thats great
okay thanks

I have never played an MMORPG, but I want to start now, which game should I start with?

Most of the mentioned games aren't actually MMORPGs. Before you get into it, I hope you understand that MMORPGs aren't for everyone and you know what you're getting yourself into. With that said, Guild Wars 2 has a big open world and features a laid back combat system. Tera and Blade and Soul are also good MMOs if you're looking for more action based combat. If you're willing to pay, Final Fantasy XIV a realm reborn is a very high quality mmorpg but expensive. World of warcraft is also an option.

I Need a good Anime-Social MMORPG please?

Ok so i've played millions of MMORPGs and I need a new one...because I've gotten bored. I want a pretty realistic one were you can interact with other people. But not all about like fighting and stuff more of a girl kind. Quests and other things to do. Also one with good graphics >.>
Here's a list of ones i've already done/tired! DO NOT PUT SUGGEST THEM (or the ninjas will come and get you ^_^):
Dream of Mirrors
Runescape
Neopets (i don't think its one but people suggest it anyways)
Club Penguin
Last Chaos
Twelve Sky 2
Shaiya
Perfect World
Habbo Hotel
IMVU
Luminary
Second Life
Maple Story
Gaia Online

I would like a game similar to Dream of Mirrors/Runescape because those are the two I enjoyed most =) Thanks if you respond to this. Big Hugs whee

What new mmorpg game to play? (with *flashy* skills)?

I know that you said not to say it but WoW is the best, but here are some of my suggestions of some other decent MMORPGS the first Guild Wars is pretty good and its free online, but its like a watered down version of WoW. Aion is good if you can get past the couple of flaws in it. EX (like the cooldown on your flying ability). Oblivion is a very good rpg that you can get for the computer that features days of play time but its not an online game. You could also try Fable 3 when it comes out for PC i really liked it on XBOX but the Multiplayer can get kind of tedious.

Good MMORPG with good replay value, pacing and no repetitiveness.?

I loved Aion for the first 1-2 years, but that was one of my complaints about the game....same starting area during beta. Of course I got flamed for saying that and look what happens a few months into the game....people complain about the exact sme starting area. lol Plus the story...suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked........ take that back. It would have to "have" a story to begin with to say it sucked. But, I loved the graphics and PvP. :)

I couldn't get into Tera. I tried it out...story and voice acting was "extremely" lame in my opinion....no offense. Same goes with Guild Wars 2.

The "only" MMO's I"ve played that actually have a good storyline were....

Final Fantasy XI (no pvp unfortunately, but good story)

Final Fantasy XIV (gameplay was horrible, but the story seemed good. i hated the fact that I couldn't stay awake through the gameplay to see more of the story. but, i will be trying out the relaunch in August with FInal Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn)

Star Wars the Old Republic - SWTOR - (story is awesome and it's all good voice acting so no reading endless quests. SWTOR gets my #1 for best overall voice acting and storyline not to mention interactive quests/storyline so you can choose what you say and if your character is a jerk or not. I know there's 2 starting planets per faction and 2 classes per starting planet. Each class has it's own storyline. This is the only game where I've made more than 2 characters and maxed them out. I've taken each of 4 classes on the empire side to max just to see the storyline. now i'm taking each of the 4 classes on the republic side to max so I can see their storyline. not to mention i enjoy the pvp warzones...especially hutball. lol it's free-to-play too, but they limit what races you can choose and that sort of cosmetic thing. however, they have unlocks in you can guy in the cash shop to unlock different stuff like the races. but, you don't have to spend cash for this. peolple buy the unlocks with cash and sell them on the auction so you can buy the unlocks with in-game money too)

What holds you back from playing MMORPG or any MMO games in general?

I should like MMORPGs, because I like MOGs and RPG is my favorite genre, but MMORPG is one of my least favorite genres. (But I keep trying to like them.)Suspension of disbelief: I just went and collected 12 thalwart plants to heal your sick son, or I just fought a horde for the one Staff of True Uniqueness. Hang on, why are there 10 other people here giving you the same item…and 10 more showing up and you’re asking them to go get you the same thing…and 10 more who I can see are doing whatever comes next.Persistence: After I kill something it quickly respawns. It appears nothing I do effects the world. What change am I trying to bring about? My actions seem pointless.Multiplayer?: Most people seem to play MMORPGs as a solo player - at least the ones I’ve played. It’s really hard to understand why some of them are multiplayer in the base world - as opposed to FPS MOGs, where multiplayer is so integrated and simple it’s not even a consideration. You play a few rounds with a team of people you’ve never met before, and it’s usually fun, but if it isn’t there’s ways to handle anti-social players. The MMORPGs I’ve played that have team-up points have poor tools to deal with players that leave or troll.Grindy: MMORPGs have incredibly grindy progression. Kill 8 zobats consists of running to the area with all the zobats, killing one, and waiting for it to respawn, and watching 10 other people doing exactly the same thing. It feels like working in a factory.Instead of “living the adventure”, I feel like I’m in “adventure, the theme park experience”.
