this past year at school i started using a tote and i loved it, its so much easier to get your stuff and espeicailly during classes and passing periods. but it is hard finding one that is cute and big.

Are Vans backpacks practical for freshman year of high school?

Yup; purses cause you to lean on one side of your body and it will cause you problems in the long run! Backpacks, however, DO NOT! HA HAHAHA. I had a bag for the beginning of the year but couldnt take it because i got pains on the side of my body that I carried the bag on, and I couldnt switch sides because it just felt weird and I felt uncoordinated.
