Need Cold Remedy Fast. Help

I need a quick cold remedy?

Try zinc, Cold Eeze, lozenges for the viral component, warm tea with lemon for the sore throat, and 20 mg of pseudophed or phenylephrine for the congestion. You can also try something like Tylenol Cold and Flu (the kind you mix in warm water).

If your symptoms worsen make sure you see a physician.

Whats the best medicine and the best remedy to get rid of a cold as fast as i can... ecancia? tylenol cold?

By tomorrow? That's pretty unrealistic. I would recommend Zicam Cold Remedy (in gel or swab form) and Airborne. They both contain zinc and it helped me get over my cold in 3 days, instead of the usual 5-7.

What can I put on a cold sore to make it go away faster?

Well, sort of a (laser) flash.Biolase treatment may reduce the healing time and improve the comfort and reduce the inflammation. Many dentists have these lasers for other purposes, and dentists are possibly the easiest source of such treatment. A low dose laser is used to bathe the developing lesion in laser light. The photostimulation can accelerate healing (work still being done on this) and most signs and symptoms are well on the way to recovery after a couple of days. You need to get the treatment as soon as possible and it’s not 100% predictable. If the little blisters(vesicles) have burst and there’s a scab, the laser is unlikely to help a lot although it may feel more comfortable. As a complete aside, I broke the bottom end of my fibula while out running. The swelling was intensely annoying and interfered when I was working. After reading a few reports on photostimulation I decided to try treatment with a diode laser. I persuaded a colleague to apply the laser to the swollen region for five to ten minutes a day and I swear it felt better for a few hours after. I managed a brief jog exactly one month after the initial fracture.(Mechanisms of wound healing acceleration are thought to involve: collagen synthesis , fibroblast and chondroblast proliferation, reducing osteoclastic activity and increasing of blood flow , nerve regeneration , stimulation of keratinocyte proliferation and anti-inflammatory effects. And the lasers can numb teeth by directly influencing nerve function i.e. anesthetic effect without injections…. So, that might explain the rapid reduction of pain during laser application.

Quick cold remedies!!?

Vitamin C mate .... take a Vitamin C supplement in a powdered form containing bioflavonoids (enhances the power of vitamin C 10 fold) 1,000 mg (1 teaspoon) dissolved in water or juice 4 - 5 times daily............ this will effectively kinghit any cold and drastically reduce your symptoms ........ try it mate, it works ..... vitamin C has been shown to reduce inflammation and speed healing ..... it also has effective antihistamine properties.......... if you're taking lots of aspirin you're losing vitamin C........ cut right back on caffeine containing drinks such as coffee and tea and eliminate sodas and soft drinks and pop as they will all dehydrate you terribly and rob you of your precious water soluble supplies of vitamin C........... drink 8 glasses of water daily and hydrate yourself properly to help your body function at peak levels and eliminate the germs.

Ditch processed sugar as bacteria will literally feed and multiply on it.

Other things that will rob you of your precious supplies of vitamin C are stress, alcohol, aspirin and otc counter cold and flu meds, antiobiotics, sleeping tablets, laxatives and diuretics, the oral contraceptive and eostrogen supplementation (if you are female) and smoking.... Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin and as such our bodies can neither store or produce it and we need to ingest it on a daily basis.

eat more foods and their juices rich in vitamin C ie ~leafy and green vegies, citrus fruits such as lemons, limes and oranges, strawberries, blackberries and red and green peppers etc...

Vitamin C reduces inflammation, stimulates the immune system and restores the mucous lining of the gastrointestinal tract.......... In addition, vitamin C creates an environment in the digestive tract that helps control the overgrowth of yeast, bacteria and parasites.

Vitamin C deficiency can contribut to digestive problems, as well as bleeding gums, increased susceptibility to infection, joint pain, unexplained bruising and lack of energy..... hmm, vitamin C the magical potion i reckon...........;0)
