Need Doctors Help Severe Sore Throat And Fever Every Week

Severely sore throat but no cold symptoms or fever?

nope.. you still could have strep. I one time went to the doctor, and all I had was a sever sore throat, no fever, even after a week of having it. It sure enough turned out to be strep throat. My ears were bothering me as well, do to inflamation of the throat. you still should go to the doctor. I know you don't want to , but strep throat can become exstremely sever if not treated properly, and is an illness where antibiotics are necessary. I also didn't have any white spots on my tonsils. I thought it was odd as well, but it still turned out to be strep. It also could posibly be post nasal drip. even though you don't feel any conjestion in the sinuses, or like a cold, this still could be the reason. eitehr way you really should go to the doctor. It may also be swollen lympnodes, but this still should be checked out being as it could be symptoms of more seriouse medical conditions. hope this helped a bit. good luck my firend. hope your throat stops hurting soon.

ps. just incase I would say this to anyone. but if you have been purging ( throwing up) at all weather purposly or due to an upset stomach, this will cause a sore throat as well, just incase.

Mono without fever or severe sore throat?

When I had mono I had a fever of 104.

The pain on the left side could be an infected spleen. You need to get to the doctor to determine if you have mono and just how bad it is.

Mono is also highly contagious and you could unknowingly spread it among your family and friends.

When I had mono I also had: Bronchitis, tonsillitis, hepatitis, jaundice, and my period. I thought I was going to die. I had to go to the doctor every other day and stay away from everyone but my best friend because she already had it.

So, with experience under my belt, get to the doctor. If nothing else, you will need the doctor's note to excuse you from work / school.

Hope you feel better soon.

Do doctors drug test when you have a sore throat..?

I smoke weed quite often and I woke up this morning with a sore throat. Will they drug test me for this? I can't afford to have my mom find out I smoke. Also I have asthma, I've been in there countless times for my asthma, and I think it would look really bad to the doctor if he found out I smoked. I want to skip the talk I know they're going to have with me if they do. I'm 15 and I live in Louisiana. Can I just say I ate a few brownies last night and that's all I do..? Or will they be able to tell? I don't burn it anymore I got a vape pen with a cartridge so the smoke is less harsh if that helps.

Extreme Sore throat! Please help?

Green or yellow phlegm is a sign of an infection. It's not always serious, though I do suggest calling the doctor if you didn't mention the blood streaks in the phlegm the first time around.
Bloody mucus can be caused by something simple like irritation from violent coughing or the runoff from a nosebleed while you were sleeping, but it can also be a sign of something more serious such as pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, tuberculosis or worse.
The shortness of breath is most likely due to a tightening of your bronchial pathways. You might ask your doctor to give you a peak-flow test in order to assess the severity of your breathing difficulty. They might prescribe you an inhaler such as albuterol to take if your breathing troubles worsen.

As far as your sore throat, one method that's always worked for me is the roasted lemon trick. You take half of a fresh cut lemon, skewer it over the stove until the rind is golden, squeeze it into a tablespoon of honey and swallow.

Good luck to you!

Sore throat without fever?

It's probably a viral infection, as most of the more common types of bacterial infections are associated with fever. Do you have a runny nose, sometimes the mucous can drip down the back of your throat and cause irritation.

How long have you been having the symptoms? I would treat yourself systematically (suck of throat lozenges and so forth) for another few days and see how your symptoms progress. If you still have a sore throat, or begin to feel worse, you should probably check out a doctor.

It is possible that an STD could be the culprit, and you should mention the fact that you have had (unprotected?) oral sex when you see your doctor.

Why have I had a sore throat every morning for over a year? A doctor told me the sore throat was due to my tonsils removal 8 years ago, but I find it illogical to begin having a sore throat 7 years after the operation. What would a doctor advise?

I also am not a doctor.  How do I answer thee?  Let me count (some of) the ways:You are probably breathing through your mouth as you sleep.  The nose filters dust and moistens air as you inhale.  If you mouth-breathe, the passing of air and/or irritants through the throat can lead to irritation. Some possible causes of the irritation:If you're allergic to dust mites, your house/bed/pillow/blanket may still be dusty.Your body and sinuses, allergies and physique, may have changed as you move through adolescence into adult form. (see next point)Your pillow and/or your sleeping position may not (still?) be mechanically helpful. The home heating, humidity, ventilating, air conditioning system may be irritating your throat with dry or cold air.  Open windows?  Windows closed, aircon on?  Sleeping in a breeze?  Does the HVAC have a clean, functioning dust filter?Climate or land-use change?Industrial pollution? If the soreness passes soon after awakening, perhaps with restoration of mouth moisture, toothbrushing or drinking liquids, I'd focus on mechanical causes.  If there is heavy or discolored dry mucus to spit out, then one might reconsider infection or pre-infection as a cause.RE-Edited, with my apology for having been less than fully thoughtful.

Can i have Glandula Fever without a sore throat?

I didn't have any other symptoms except a high temperature for the first week. The sore throat came the second week - the worst pain of my life! It took a week for them to even think to test for it and it came back positive for glandular fever. So it is possible to have glandular fever without a sore throat. Many people are able to work with it and it feels like a cold to them while others are hit hard and need a months to recover. You will find you energy levels are reduced for up to a year after you recover.

EDIT: I can't remember if I had trouble concentrating or not as it was years ago. The blood test result should reveal if you have it or not as symptoms may vary.
