Need Help I Dont Know What Shoes To Get

I wanna buy shoes for myself.. Don't know which one should I go for.. A long boot , Loafers , sneakers ... Any suggestions ? And which colour is more trendy?

Personally I'll take sneakers any day. Depends on your location, weather, style, amount of different shoes, and comfort. Loving black on flat shoes and boots. Light and dark brown colors for all the above choices.

I need help with dance shoes, pointe shoes and tap shoes?

NEVER ever ever ever ever ever EVER buy pointe shoes online. Ever. Period. You absolutely MUST go for a professional fitting. They're not like a sneaker that will break in and fit everybody so long as your feet are sort of the same size. Pointe shoes are sculpted to fit certain foot sizes, shapes, and types. If you don't get them fitted and you end up in shoes that are too big/small/narrow/wide, all you'll have are broken ankles, missing toenails, blisters, bunions, corns, and ingrown nails....among other things.

Tap shoes can be sold with or without a tap. You can buy any tap you want within your price range.

I sort of have a hard time believing you've been en pointe for 4 years (and a harder time believing you were allowed en pointe after only one year) but are still in a Capezio (beginner shoe) and don't know how to properly buy pointe shoes. You should be replacing them every 20-30 hours. At most, you'll get a month or two out of a pair of pointe shoes.

Going and buying them in store may be more expensive, but it will cost less than your doctors bills if you don't get proper shoes.

As far as tap shoes go, you'll do well in a Bloch. They're better than Capezio at an intermediate level. I wear the Capezio Gregory Hines shoe and love them, but that is the only Capezio shoe I've ever liked.

Why do cows not have to be shoed the way horses do? Do their hoofs not get dirty too? Don't they ever step on

Not all horses need shoes...those in the pasture or with maintenance or light work go barefoot. Cows are no different.
And although cows are barefoot. The oxen used for heavy work *do* get fitted with shoes. There are special stocks used to hold their feet.

Why do people feel the need to tell me when my shoes are untied?

Why do people feel the need to tell me when my shoes are untied?Usually I’m aware of when my shoes are untied.Often when I’m informed of this fact I’ll have my hands full,or I’m in the middle of a sidewalk with nowhere to conveniently tie my shoes, or it will be very cold and tying my shoes will mean I will have take off my gloves. Mind your own business people!I know! Who do people think they are, thinking of your safety? How can someone be so obsessed with common courtesy that they would bother to inconvenience you by actually speaking to you? The nerve.Seriously, though. They are just being courteous. It is what people do when they are part of polite society.

Why do people need to own 100 pairs of shoes?

The shoe thing is a woman thing.....along with the matching purse thing. All those shoes serve a purpose tho'......there are the work shoes, that provide comfort when you're on your feet all day, the sensible shoes for errands and such, the dress shoes for conservative things, and every gal has at least one pair of these......the f**k me pumps......their existance is self explanatory.....have a good one.

Why do we need arch support in our shoes but not when we're barefoot?

Personal experience. It’s thought that good arch support helps to keep our feet in a position that maintains a certain alignment with our whole skeleton. One element out of place sets off a chain reaction. But I have to wonder about all the groups of humans who never wore shoes, much less with arch supports, in their entire lives. Don’t know if any study has been on those people. As a small child, toddler, I guess it was noted that I had flat feet, and during that time the idea was that flat feet needed support, so I ended up in high-top lace-ups. They didn’t help; I’ve had inward pronation my entire life, so bad that I can hardly navigate now without decent support. Advice to others: if you have a similar lifelong history, be sure you’re taking care to move ahead correctly.I’ve read in more recent history that my mother’s method was wrong (not that she didn’t believe it to be right, bless her) and I should’ve been allowed to run around barefoot, thus strengthening those arches and ankles. I’ve also read that babies just learning to walk ought to go barefoot as much as possible. We have a barefoot writer here on Quora who wears no shoes, practically at all. When I can track down his name I’ll add it to this post.I’m sorry I can’t be of more help here. It seems that humans have evolved in billions of different small ways, probably so the weaker among us could eventually weeded out for the better good of the whole. Modern discoveries combined with a need to eradicate all the inhibiting factors that slow down natural evolution seems to have created an odd problem. Our species’ advancement opportunities are slowed down while other species are by and large up to their own devices.Such a thoughtful question you ask, and this is all I have to offer, given I’ve no medical or anthropological degree to give it more depth. It just seems, IMO, that a natural way of learning to walk in the beginning of life would naturally contribute to better support later.Last thought: Learned the hard way is that the human frame is vital to the well-being of the entire body. All the joints and ligaments contribute individually and as part of the whole to align everything up so our soft internals are adversely affected.Wish I could’ve been more help.

ATTENTION: High heel shoe question ladies...please help!?

I love the way high heels look and have plenty of high heeled boots and slip on shoes but I have a problem when it comes to pumps. They always seem to slip off the back of my heel. I've tryed smaller sizes but the same thing happens no matter how smooshed the front half of my foot is. I don't know if I'm walking wrong or what. Does anyone have any suggestions?? I've tryed those little cusions in the back of my heel but with no luck. I got an awesome pair or heels today. The lady that helped me got me into a 6 1/2..I normally wear a 7 1/2 or and 8. They slipped off less then the others but are tight on my toes and are still slipping off. How do you know when a heel like this fits?? Any way to check?? The sales lady told me that they would strech a bit and then be fine to wear. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

Why don't Americans take off their shoes when entering a house?

Many of us do, but it’s normal for Americans not to take off their shoes.I never thought of why they wouldn’t, but I figure number one has to be that the floor isn’t very clean. If it is clean then it’s probably because they have a cleaning service or maid.We take off our shoes in our home, and anyone who comes in our home must take theirs off too, except for delivery and repair people for example. Some Americans get offended if you tell them they must take off their shoes, or they act snobby as if only ‘peasants’ take off their shoes in the house.Another reason could simply be due to our short history. The Americas were only settled by non-natives a few hundred years ago, and even today It’s a vastly rural part of the world. Not so long ago, and I wouldn’t be surprised to find so now, many people had dirt for floors or their flooring was so basic and close to the ground that you might be inclined to keep your shoes on just to keep your feet clean.I stayed in an Airbnb for a couple of months where the house rule was no shoes inside. My feet got so black with grime in that place that I always had to wash them before putting on my shoes and going out. In that situation, I certainly would have rather kept my shoes on. So one reason is bad housekeeping.
