Need Help Math Homework

I need help on math homework?

We will represent the length of each side of the square as S.

Perimeter = S + S + S + S= 4S
12 = 4S
S = 3

Therefore, we know that each side of the square equals 3.

The area of a square is the length multiplied by the width. We know that one side of the square has a length of 3. Therefore, all the sides of the square have lengths of 3.

Therefore, the area is 3 x 3, which equals 9.

Answer: Area = 9 units ^2 (Don't forget units! =])

Good luck! =D

Got it: $2401.21
I originally had 2497.27 but that is if you take the 4% on the 10th year also. If not, you get $2401.21. Don't forget to take the interest on the new amount each year - compounding interest.

There are several ways to get help in math. With it being back-to-school season, now is the perfect time to seek out help for the school year if you know that you’re going to need it.The first and obvious suggestion would be to talk to your teacher about after-school tutoring. Many good teachers will not only be willing to help with additional instruction, but some even tutor students on weekends or evenings as a second job. Even if they don’t, it’s likely that they will be able to direct you to a qualified tutor. You could also talk to a guidance counselor. School counselors often have the reputation as only being able to help with mental issues, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. They are a wealth of information and nearly all counselors will have information on great resources to help in any subject.The other method would be to practice on your own and use a resource to check your work. Wolfram Alpha is a perfect way to do just that. You can try solving problems on your own and then plug the problem into the system and get step-by-step solutions instantly. Not only is this a great resource for students, but is also very helpful for parents who are checking their child’s homework once completed.Best of luck to you!

Okay for the first one....

You know we need to get the n's all on one side of the equation. So, do you see how nat and n both have n's in them? That means that you can factor out the n. So now you have:
s= n ( at-1)

Now all we need to do is get n by itself. So if you divide both sides by (at-1) you get:

s/(at-1)=n

By switching what is on either side of the equals we get:

n=s/(at-1)

Okay now the second one:

Once again all of those terms have something in common. So what do we do? Factor. Both terms on the left side have a 2pir in common. So if we factor that out we get:

s=2(pi)r (h+r)

Now. I'm just going to group this a little differently.

s= (2*pi*r) * (h+r).

Now that we have something that is factored we can break it into two parts and set each of them equal to s. So we get:
s=2*pi*r
and
s=h+r

Now solve each of these easier equations for r.
So in the top one we need to divide each side by 2pi giving us:
s/(2*pi)=r.

In the second one we just need to subtract h.

This gives us s-h=r. So those are your two solutions
r=s-h and r= s/(2*pi)

I hope that helps.

Im not sure I understand. Where is that percentage coming from?
If 22% of the cars were sold in Jan-Feb, then you do 3200 (cars in a year) divided by 100 (percent). This gives you 1% of 3200. Then times that answer by 22. which will give you 22% of 3200.

1. An altitude of a right triangle divides it into two similar triangles. (If triangles are similar, their corresponding parts are proportional.)
The ratio of CD to AD is the same as the ratio of AD to BD.
AD = 6 and BD = 24, so CD:AD = 6:24 = 1:4.
Therefore CD = AD/4 = 3/2.

2. Since sin A = 3/5, A's opposite side is 3. This is B's adjacent side, so cos B = 3/5.

3. tan θ = (θ's opposite side) / (θ's adjacent side). θ = 30°. h, the height of the tree, is the opposite side for angle θ, whose adjacent side is 25 ft.
Therefore tan(30°) = h/25 ft., and h = 25tan(30°) ft.
(If you need an actual number, tan(30°) = 1/√3, which is approximately 0.577.
(25 ft)(0.577) = 14.4 ft.)
