Need Help Pricing A Gun

Gun show prices for Springfield XDm?

you will NOT find good prices for a new gun at a gunshow.

At a gunshow you may find good prices on the guns other regular show attendees bring it.

Think of it this way. The gun shop buys a Springfield XDm and decides they need to sell it for $700 to stay profitable.

NOW the gun shop owner decides to take it to the gunshow and try and sell it. He has to close his gunshop while he is gone, so that looses him some money. He has to pay a fee to have a table spot to show the guns he has for sale, so that costs him money. He has to spend an extra 2-3 hours packing up the stuff for the show AND an extra 2-3 hours putting it all back, so he has to do extra work which is expensive. He has to pay for gas and all the time it takes to go to the gunshow, maybe even rent a trailer to pull all his stuff. This costs MORE money. Where is he going to sleep while attending the gunshow? Hotel? That is expensive.

To offset all these additional expenses he is going to need to rise the price of each of his guns by $25 to $50.

But the gun dealer knows two facts.

1. People seem to believe that gun show prices are 'good deals' so most won't notice the extra fee.
2. When people pay an admission fee to 'shop' they are more inclined on average to buy something, evens something small, otherwise they feel the entrance fee was 'wasted money'

Both of these facts are mostly subconscious.

When you go to a gun-show realize that most items will be overpriced, so only buy the items you cannot find anywhere else. Also when you go to a gunshow think of the entrance fee not as a 'charge to shop' but like a ticket to a movie. You are going to be entertained, you are paying just to look, don't expect to buy.

I need help with my gun choice...?

That's a good taste, MP5's are downright sexy. But moving on. Yes of course you can get an excellent gun for 100$+ if you put love and care into it. Even some of the best guns get taken down for the not so great. It all just matters about tactics and how you use them,

You can try the Echo 1 Task Force MP5's.

If you want something with rails, you can go with the Jing Gong. You have a pretty wide selection, it will just be hard to pick one.

What is the price for a single bullet of a gun?

What is the price for a single bullet of a gun?First, as noted in other answers, you haven’t given enough information for a meaningful answer.Second, it isn’t typical to buy bullets one at a time, so even if the price were to come out as $0.15/bullet, you’re still going to need to buy a greater quantity to get that price. And the exact same bullet will be a different price depending on where you buy.For example…These 9mm cartridges are $21.14 for a box of 20, or $1.06 per round. But these…9mm cartridges are $19.99 for a 50, or $0.40 per round.Same store, fits same gun, very different price. If we get into rifle rounds, these typically cost more but there can be some overlap..223 is a popular round, let’s look at some of those. These are $33.99 for 20, or $1.70 each. While these…$23.39 (weird sale price) for 20, or $1.02 each.More exotic rounds can cost a lot more…These are $34.82 for a box of 10, or $3.48 each. (make every shot count!)Thanks to Mike Poulton for helping me find correct price.Sometimes, if you ask just right, you can get FREE samples!(Not recommended)All images found using Яндекс (Yandex), because Russia is awesome!

Help me find a gun!!!!!!!!?

Yes, .308 win. and 7.62x51 are the same. I personally own a H & K G3 and shoot 7.62x51/.308 rounds through it, also own an AR15. One is in american measurement/designstion and the other is in european measurement/designation. .308 win. is a large caliber currently the most popular size used by snipers in the army and other countries. Now using Mc Millan .50 caliber single round shot as well (which you can also buy).
Sounds like you want to go for a military style weapon or caliber. The M1 Garand shoots 30-06 cal., that one has a really good kick.
AR are really fun to shoot, I like that one the best and easy to clean + loads of attachments anywhere.
I have the AR with detachable H bar where you can mount seights and everytime will set to zero. Will need an additonal weaver mount though.
Another weapon that fires .223 rounds is the Rugger mini-14, also fun to fire.
ARs are cheaper to shoot per round and can shoot longer without a sore shoulder, it's really fun !!

If I go to the shooting range will they supply a gun or do I need to bring my own?

Most ranges will rent you one for an additional fee. The exact price structure depends on the range, at the one I frequent it's $5 on top of the range fee ($25 hourly), $15 for rifles (more cleaning involved) and you can check out as many as you like for that price but only one at a time. You do have to pay for and shoot their ammunition as well, you can't use any rounds you might bring in.At other places the price may be per gun, with varying prices for different guns based on demand. Wanna shoot a Desert Eagle, just to say you did it? Sure, but the rental's $50 and the ammo is about $2 per shot.A few ranges will not rent to unaccompanied first time shooters, for a number of good safety and liability related reasons; you either need to have a gun, show up with someone else who shoots regularly, take their Firearms 101 course, or pay for a private instructor. Any of these is a very good idea if you have never fired a gun before.

SIG P226 value , looking to trade it in and need approximate price of gun .?

If as you say with no rust etc. its worth around 450-500.00. I would take no less than 450.00 in a private sale.

Trade in to a dealer or pawn shop will be less. Most places will give you no more than 350-400 if that...because, they are looking at the wholesale price and what they can buy new ones for.

The retail on that gun is over 800.00. Local shops and big stores with discounts offer those at 700.00 give or take.

9mm gun for self defense? price at pawn shop?

A wife of a friend of mine uses a Springfield XD Sub-compact 9mm, for home defense. A cousin of mine uses a Ruger P89 9mm for the same purpose. So yes, a 9mm would be a good choice for home defense. However I would much rather use a pump action 12 guage shotgun, like the Remington 870 or the Mossberg 500 with an 18 inch barrel on each shotgun. Or I would suggest a .357 revolver. As a previous member mentioned, you can also shoot the .38Spl out of the .357. The .357 has more recoil then the .38Spl, so if you cant handle the recoil of the .357...The .38Spl might be more ideal for you. But yes, again...A 9mm would be fine for home defense. Just prey it doesn't jam up on you, when you need it most. That is if it's a semi auto. You may be able to find a 9mm revolver. Revolvers are less prone to jam up on you, then what a semi auto are.

Ruger and Springfield both make good semi auto 9mm handguns. A used Ruger 9mm could cost you around $300. The Springfield XD, will cost you more, but worth the money. You're looking at $430 or more for the XD in used condition. I'd pay the extra for a new XD. Rossi has been said to be decent handguns in the .357 caliber. You're gonna pay about $260. For a Remington 870 or Mossberg 500 12 guage shot, without the 18 inch barrel...Expect to pay around $250, give or take a few.

GunsAmerica.com had one Ruger New Model Blackhawk, that was a .357, with another cylinder for 9mm...The price on it was $375.

I would try to avoid pawn shops, as they tend to over price the guns they sell. Private sell would be a good choice. Go in a gun store, you never know what kind of deal you might find.

Why are regular mass shootings accepted as the price for being able to have guns in American society?

it's incredibly dangerous and irresponsible to monopolize firearms to any political faction but especially white nationalist and ultra nationalist. If you're banning firearms youre not making them go away you're monopolizing them to specific groups of people. By banning them your just monopolizing them to specific political factions. Which happens to be religious extremist and ultra nationalists currently. The U.S. was an apartheid state using proxies to decapitate black people on church steps less then 50 years and is a country heavily involved in geneocide and sectarian cleansing in numerous parts of the globe. It's also a diverse and economically declining country and its in economic decline or poverty that most mass killings happen, something relatively common in the context of history, most countries have a generation alive that has experienced one. If you're banning firearms youre not making them go away you're monopolizing them to the people doing the most killing. Cops kill about 100 peaple a month which are mostly black, as a result of their war on drugs. About 15 mostly white people every 4 months die from a school shooting. You're not going to have less gun deaths if youre monopolizing guns to specific factions of people, the racial and govt dynamics I pointed should validate that.
