Need Help With College Search

Need help deciding on a college. Please help!?

I've narrowed down my college search to 2 different colleges. The first is Benedictine college, which for those of you who don't know, is a small catholic liberal arts college in Atchison Kansas. It's only about an hour from where i live. The other is Ohio State University, which is pretty much the exact opposite of what Benedictine is. It's the largest university in the country, it's public, and it's out of state.
Now, i have visited both schools, and both are amazing! Granted OSU is more of a party school, and BC still has a social scene, and so to me that's not that big of a deal. Both schools feel right to me.
Also, both schools have all of the majors that i am looking for (as i am undecided), and have a strong liberal arts program as well.
Here's the thing. BC is only about an hours drive away MAX from where most of my friends are going to school. With OSU, it is a great school, but i would have to restart my entire social life. I know that it would not be hard at all, but the issue is i don't know if i want to leave my current friends behind. OSU would be a great experience, But with BC, i would still get to see my current friends on a somewhat normal basis.
So that is my issue.
Any thoughts, comments, advice, etc would be greatly appreciated!

PS. I was raised roman catholic. I have been going to Catholic schools my entire life. Right now, i do not consider myself catholic (i've rejected a lot of their core beliefs, like Jesus' divinity). That being said, i still enjoy the atmosphere of Catholic schools, and the activism that they usually support. I don't know what i would think about going to a public school, as i have never attended one before.

I need some help choosing my College Major.. and I have some questions?

I'm a sophomore in High School finally deciding to start my college search, and choosing what I'd like to Major in. I am stuck between 3 majors, but one is rather far off.

-Legal Studies (and Law School after I make enough money, Entry Level Job: Paralegal, End Goal:Lawyer?)
//My aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents were all in the Legal Business. So it kind of runs in my blood. I don't know all that much about it, so could someone further explain in detail what Paralegals do besides assisting with case files?

-Business w/ a Focus in Accounting (will get my Master's and maybe an MBA after? opinions on that please. Entry Level Job: Accountant, End Goal: CPA)
//I like crunching numbers, and all that good stuff so I know I would enjoy being an accountant. I'm a hard worker, so the time consuming job of isn't a turn off.

-Computer Science/Programming
//I've always liked Computers and Programming, but I don't see anything positively good coming out of it? My dad's an IT Consultant and makes a nice living, but otherwise I don't know what I could do with a Degree in either of these.. Can anyone give me some input on that?

I have no clue whatsoever the differences between a Master's, MBA, and Doctorate's are?
What are some top Law Schools in the US?
Would it be logical to Double Major in both Accounting and Legal Studies?
Would adding a Foreign Language Minor help with these at all? In High School, I'm taking French for 2 years, Spanish for 4 years, Learning the basics of Polish for a 5-month long project, Fluent in English, and am pretty good at Filipino since I am Filipino. I like learning languages too.

Of these colleges, (Ball State Univ, Boston Coll, U of I, Lewis Univ, Marquette, Michigan State Univ, New York Univ, Notre Dame, OSU, UPenn, Pepperdine, Providence Coll, Purdue, Syracuse, Villanova, Wake Forest Univ, Washington Univ, and Xavier Univ), which has the best programs for my majors? and which schools are Division Men's Volleyball Schools? I play volleyball and I'm looking if I might get a scholarship as well.

Please name one school you think I should attend. I'd like one in the Midwest so it's not too far from home. Thanks.

Sorry for all the Questions, but I'd like to thank you for all your time to help me decide on my future(:

What to Say in Self-Decription for College Roommate Search?

Before you write a description, go and read what other people are writing.

Firstly, there is no point in writing something that just makes you sound like everyone else out there - and at the minute, your list of things in which you are interested is so generic as to say nothing about you except that you are a living human being.

For example "socialize" is a meaningless expression. There are very few who really don't like to socialise but how people prefer to socialise ie extremely variable. For some people, it means going to 50,000-person raves, to others it means 3 friends playing a computer game. You need to be much more specific about what you are saying. After all, nobody is going to be looking for people who say they don't like having fun.....

When it comes to what you are like, you might want to also consider your "bad" points. If you really can't bear to be woken up in the early morning then that's actually going to be a point of greater contention than whether your flatmate prefers Instagram to Tumblr. If you are pathologically neat then you aren't going to want someone who thinks washing-up is only done when you run out of plates.

Okay, so cut out anything that is common to everyone or most people.( I would not mention Tumblr at all, for instance). Be specific about other things (what do you like to read, what do you watch on Netflix, what kind of concerts, when you hang out, what do you do and where do you go?). Dress up your "bad" habits as quirks ("You'll have to be able to put up with my 100-a-day coffee habit too!")

Secondly, you might want to make a list of the traits that you would see an ideal flatmate as having, and consider what you would need to write to attract that kind of person. Again, be specific. Words like "responsible", "mature" mean different things to different people. Everyone thinks they have a good sense of humour, for instance.

Finally, remember that the human race is inherently stupid. No matter what you put, you are likely to get a lot of replies that bear no resemblance to anything you have said - so don't worry too much about what you put.

Best wishes.

If I use college WiFi, will they see what I search at home using my WiFi, or only what I search on theirs?

In principle only what you search using the college wifi - and then only if they are actively looking, which I would guess not many college network administrators do. They may have some (anonymised) logging and measurement to see how network load is spread over college work/watching videos/listening to music/watching porn. None of that would see (or be interested in) what you do at home.Having said that, if somehow someone (and this could be someone other than the network administrator) could get access to your computer - i.e. hack it - they could also see your browser history, cache etc. And if you do not clean that up regularly this includes your home activity. This is true of any network connection, and is a fact of life - you need to be careful when connecting to public networks. Two simple measures to minimize impact:- keep your OS and browser updated with the latest security fixes,- automatically clean up your browser history and cache after each session. So 'will they see?' Probably not. 'Could they see ?' Yes, theoretically. They would be breaking the law in doing so, though.

Do I need a college degree to become a search engine optimisation specialist?

No you don’t. But you need to master your skills. You need to understand what SEO is, and why the old SEO thing become more social today. You need to bring results in a way or another.Getting backlinks today is more a social skill than a technical skill.Writing beautiful piece of content have nothing in common with a college degree. A It might help in improving your communication skills, but no, there is no connection. And hey, this is SEO. Great content -> a lot of mentions and backlinks.Apart of these, you know, depending on your life long plan, a college degree may have has its place in other activities, but certainly not SEO.I’d love to talk to you more on this. Mom refuses to help me out with college or even apply for aid?

When I began my college search my parents promised that they would help out with my college tuition. My father wanted to pay for the whole entire thing, but I told them I wasn't sure how comfortable I felt with this. My college tuition is $17,000 a year, so about average of any college. My parents make a lot of money and we knew I couldn't get any fianical aid. I recieved a few small scholarships and that was it.

My first year my parents paid for my college and I aided with scholarships. My mother used this to manipulate and control me and I told them that I would pay for the rest of it on my own because of their behavior. My dad was upset at my mom and my mom apologized and suggested that we split the bill in half. I agreed.

This summer break my mother informed me that she refused to pay for any more of my college and that I should pay for it myself. My dad does not agree with my mother and wants to help me but she won't let him. I am now trying to get a private loan to cover the remaining costs (that which wasn't covered by federal loans) and she refuses to co-sign. Not only that, but she refuses to help me, offer advice, or even listen to what I have to say about it.

My family makes $ 250,000 a year and blows money like it's water, but my own mother won't even help me decide which loan is the best one to take? I'm so angry and I don't know what to do. I'm afraid if I ask a family member to co-sign my mother will cut off our relationship, but I really need to do something. What should I do? Please help!
