Need Help With My Essay

I need help writing an essay!?

In my opinion, the quote would be best illustrated with an example of someone who had great talent but only tried to accomplish something ordinary, and having attained it, didn't pursue further goals.

The problem with finding a specific example of this is that the quote claims that this is what most people do. They set their sights low, and having attained those ordinary goals, they merely live out the rest of their lives in obscurity. The people who are famous, and for whom you can find stories to illustrate their greatness, they all set their marks high. Some of them fell short and some didn't. But an example of a great inventor would not illustrate what the quote meant to say.

Most people set low standards out of fear of failure. As a result, it's hard to find a concrete example of such a person that you can use in your essay.

The only somewhat helpful example I can think of is that of Portugal and Spain at the time of Columbus and his voyages. Portugal was in a far superior economic position and they turned him down. They felt that the route they had in place to India by going around africa was good enough and they felt that his westward plan was a miscalculation. In a sense you could say that they aimed low, and they achieved their mark.

Spain on the other hand, decided to give him a shot and let him try his best. They needed to find a different route from Portugal because they were in a crummy financial position. So they sent him with hopes for the best. They aimed high, so to speak, and fell short because Columbus didn't make it to India. He did however discover the Americas and helped Spain become a naval superpower that dwarfed Portugal. You can find more details of this on wikipedia if you want to expand on the example.

This is a tough assignment. The quote is one that most people would read and nod their agreement to. They may comment about how well it's stated. They may even see something in their own lives that reflects it. But they would have plenty of trouble coming up with an example from the world outside.

Good luck on your essay. :) The wiki article link is below, although I'm sure that if you need footnotes, you should get real books on the subject.

Need help with my essay for The Crucible!?

Didn't you read the story/play? It's SOOO easy to pick characters for each part.

. . . But I'll give them to you anyway:
1.
- Abigail Williams: This one is obvious, she envies Elizabeth Proctor because her husband won't leave her for Abigail
- Thomas Putnam: This greedy punk is using the trials to further his own ends (he wants to take land away from other farmers by having them accused as witches)
2.
- John Proctor: This one is also obvious, he had an affair with Abigail which he is afraid to admit to.
- Reverend John Hale: He is initially for the trials, but changes heart after he realizes they are all a sham. He then feels guilty for participating in the hysteria that got John Proctor (& others) in trouble for crimes they didn't commit.
3.
- Mary Warren: She is the maid of John Proctor who accuses him of witchcraft because she's afraid of what Abigail will do to her if she doesn't
- Tituba: Afraid of being hanged, she professes to being a "good" Christian. She actually DOES participate in some kind of witchcraft-esque behavior.

And there you have it.

Please ;( I need help with my essay?

First off, let me say that..I SUCK at writing essays.
I don't know, it's just something about an essay that just makes it super challenging to me!
I can sit there ALL DAY LONG with my pencil and paper and still have not one word on my paper at the end of the day...
I over think things a lot! And that's a huge reason as to why I never get anything done! And it frustrates and annoys me! And it stresses me out! Because I feel like a failure
:(
Writing is my weakest subject..and I want to become better. I just need help with it!

I have this essay that's DUE today, and I didn't go to school today, because I didn't finish it over the weekend!
The teacher gave us a question: "what is your favorite [blank]?" And you can put anything that's your favorite in that blank...like favorite drink, or favorite show, and ETC!
But I can't find anything to put in that blank! Bc I don't have a favorite ANYTHING!
And then you have to tell WHY it's your favorite...
And the essay is based off of that. But I mean..how can I create a thesis based off "why" it's my favorite?
I just can't do it....I really need help starting it off ;( please help me? I would really and TRULY appreciate it.
Thanks!

Do you ask help when you need to proofread your essay?

Yes. Absolutely. Even if it means getting help from an app instead of a human. Apps like Grammarly or Hemingway or MS Word’s spelling and grammar checkers are great, but they’re limited in what they can do. Get help from a trained proofreader whenever possible.

conflicts are disagreements between two groups.

Most delegates quickly discarded the idea of amending the Articles of Confederation, realizing its inadequacy, and focused on forming a new system of government. A government with three branches - executive, legislative and judicial - was agreed upon, but the method of electing representatives became a controversy. Edmund Randolph proposed the "Virginia", or "Large State", plan, calling for a bicameral legislature with the number of representatives elected proportional to the size of the state’s population. William Patterson presented the "New Jersey", or "Small State", plan, which gave all states equal representation regardless of population or wealth. The large states would have greater power than the small states under the Virginia plan, but the small states sought to maintain the equality they enjoyed under the Articles with the New Jersey Plan. Like most decisions made at the convention, this situation was resolved in a compromise. The "Great Compromise", in which it was decided that the upper house of the legislature (the Senate) would have equal representation among the states, as favored by New Jersey, and the lower house (the House of Representatives) would be elected by population, favoring the large states, was passed on July 16th. The inclusion of slaves was determined in another compromise. A slave would be counted as three-fifths of a person in relation to population and taxation. Ironically, the fundamental question of how slavery could legally exist in a free country founded upon the belief that "all men are created equal" was never addressed.

Can someone help me to proofread my essay?

There are many great online proofreading services, but I’ll advice you work with freelancers like myself in order to form long-term working relationships. Some freelancers own websites where you can contact them, but downsides of using these guys is that they are usually expensive and you are not sure of what you’re paying for.Other freelancers work with platforms like Fiverr and so on. There is much competition in charges and quality of work on these platforms, and so the best of the best always stand out.Freelancers can put up fake reviews on their websites to lure unsuspecting clients, but on these platforms like Fiverr, only verified clients can review the freelancers. Unlike in freelancers’ personal websites, you’re sure of the reviews you see there.Fiverr ranks the freelance proofreaders and editors based on the number of positive reviews, job completion rates, response times, communication, delivery times, and so on.You can Contact me on Fiverr.
