Need Help With Weight Loss

Does yoga help with weight loss?

Yes It is. I lost 3 Kgs in less than a month. It worked out for me in an effective manner. I even hit 108 per day, and the change is very visible. You can start with minimum 7 rounds per day and gradually increase the count.  I used to pursue running and sometimes gym and sometimes diet. But this time i didnt care about anything, In fact i increased my Carb loading. The change was phenomenal and u can feel it along the day after workout, all the muscles in active state. Before you start any weight loss program, you should know there are about 3,500 calories in 1 pound of fat. S0, you need to reduce your daily calories by 250 to 500 in order to achieve ½ to 1 pound of weight loss per week. Using the numbers from this yoga study, a 138-pound person needs to do Surya Namaskar for 18 minutes to burn 250 calories, 25 minutes to burn 350 calories and 40 minutes to burn 500 calories.Surya Namaskar- 30-minutes workout calorie meterHow much calories are you burning in your 30 minute workout?Weight lifting = 199 caloriesTennis = 232 caloriesBasketball = 265 caloriesBeach volleyball = 265 caloriesFootball = 298 caloriesBicycling (14 – 15.9 mph) = 331 caloriesRock climbing = 364 caloriesRunning (7.5mph) = 414 caloriesSurya Namaskar = 417 caloriesSurya Namaskar calorie Calculation:One round of Surya Namaskar burns upto 13.90 calories for an average weighing person. Fast Weight Loss and Low Calories, Need Help?

Hello I am 6 10 and on a diet, My starting weight was 470 and now 2 months and 20 days later, i m down to 382, losing almost 90 pounds, I eat about 1000 to 1500 calories a day, my question is, Is that too low? Should i add in more calories? I read online that losing weight too fast can mess up your metabolism, and I really want to avoid that, is it too late to fix? I also do 30mins of cardio and 25 to 30 mins of weight lifting and 30mins to an hour of basketball a everyday, I read over working yourself is bad as well , But i feel find, I don t have low energy but I am just nervous to mess up my metabolism. Please help

Im 16, 230 pounds, and seriously need help with weight loss.?

Eat 5 really small meals a day, about the size of a small plate. This will help your metabolisum speed up :). Also if your not into doing a lot of excersize, go for a long walk, stick in your earphones and just kepp going. If you really want to change then change!!

The worst thing to do is starve yourself, this will actually make you fatter as your body will store the fat already in your body.

Cut out salt and sugar completely! It will be hard but if you want to change then change !

And also as you are so big you will lose weight really fast. If you eat small meals and go for long walks, then you will notic a change in no time :).

But remember your in control of yourself !! :) I hope this helps :)! And good luck

I'm a 17 year old female and need help in weight loss!?

Okay so I've lost 16 or so pounds since February, and I know how frustrating it can be! I really recommend this site www.sparkteens.com It gives you diet and exercise plans, and helps you set goals and track measurments. Also, do cario exercise (like walking, running, biking, etc.) at least 30 on two or three weekdays and A LOT on the weekends. Cut back slightly on calories, but not a ton since your working out a lot too. Just enough to give you a 500 calorie or so deficit (like maybe burn off 250 calories and eat 250 calories less than you do). Less than a 500 calorie deficit is perfectly fine too, but don't try more to burn faster becaue you wont, you'll just go into starvation mode which is both unhealthy and bad for weight loss goals. Eat a lot of fiber and protein because they make you feel full, and eat lots of fruit and veggies becaue they're super healthy and really low calorie. Drink at least 8 cups of water a day. It makes you fuller, is good for you, and helps wash out sodium and stuff.
Oh and also cut back on sodium because it makes you bloated and increase potassium because it makes you less bloated.
Yeah...hope that helps

Weight loss help I need help losing this weight in a month for a cruise. I need tips or help?

Ok, so you have only a month. This is supposed to be a very intense month. Depends on how much weight you need to lose… I would start with:HIIT - a short but very intense workout. Do this around 3 times a week (have at least 48 hours of rest in between to recover muscles). HIIT stimulates your fat burning cells for up to 24 hours after the workout.Calorie deficit - if there is no calorie deficit you can’t loose weight. You could eat junk, stay in the calorie deficit and still not gain weight. But I really do suggest eating healthy to provide all the nutrients for your working out body and also fiber so that you won’t constantly want to eat.Protein - It is very easy to overeat carbs and fats. So you need to focus on protein. It makes you fuller and helps build muscles. Start off with a protein breakfast to get that “I’m nice and full” feeling that keeps you going for hours.Strength training - the more muscles the more calories you burn. Also it gives you a toned look. (If you can’t make it to the gym just use your body weight).Walk/Bike/Run - All cardio and these will help you burn the fat.Have fun on your cruise trip too :p*Take before and after pictures to see your progress. And also, be confident. People are attracted to fun and confident people. :)

Does treadmill help in weight loss?

STOP doing the treadmill if you want ANY chance to LOSING WEIGHT. Here’s why…I’m not a big fan of the treadmill because it’s not the most effective way to burn fat.Cardio (or running on the treadmill) makes you more “efficient” at using fat as an energy source. This actually sounds like a fantastic idea, but it’s definitely NOT!Being efficient at using the fat on your body means you start to use that fat slower and “better” to fuel your running or any other cardiovascular activity. To be more “efficient” at using fat as an energy source means you’ll burn less of it, not more of it! You’re getting “more” out of “less.”The problem with treadmills or any other cardio machine gets even worse…As you become more and more efficient at storing fat then your only option is to go longer and harder, which then in turn only enhances the effect of burning less and less body fat as you get better conditioned! It’s a deadly snowball. This is the exact opposite of why you were introduced to cardio in the first place?Eventually, you have to go LONGER and HARDER to get the SAME effect as you did before, which is the law of diminishing returns. This sets up a very bad situation for your body, sex-drive, and lifestyle.WHY in the world would you participate in an activity where, after a while, you need to do more of it to get the same previous results? Especially when there are easier, faster and smarter options such as this brand-new approach to burn fat that is way more effective for weight loss right now.One particular study found that the metabolic rate and fat burning potential of those involved in this NEW approach to fat loss was actually at its peak during the twenty four hours following the workout as opposed to those who did long stints of exercise at a slower pace such as the treadmill. As you have see, this new approach to training is a major component of the after-burn effect. In recent studies this other form of training has also been shown to increase insulin levels while at the same time reduce body fat, this makes this kind of training promising for the reduction of diabetes. In short, incorrect cardio reduces your calorie-burning machinery. It gives you a smaller and more efficient engine.
