What is a good idea for a movie/book?
Writing a book and writing a movie are completely different things. Movie (screen) writers have to write visually, meaning they have to write a scene like it was picture but no prose. just direction and dialogue. Novelists haev to ignite all the senses in a way. They have to set the scene with words, sight, smell, sound, touch,taste. Both have challenges and quite frankly, if you can't think of an idea on your own, you will never be able to write a complete screenplay or novel on your own. My advice is to create a character and ask yourself 4 questions: who is my character? what does my character want? what will my character do to get it? who is going to try and stop my character? Follow them around for a bit and see what kind of trouble they get into. good luck
Need Zombie Movie Ideas?
well, alot of movies that are the scariest are movies where the plot could ACTUALLY/MAYBE happen in real life... i really liked the I Am Legend theme, Cancer cure gone wrong. so maybe you could try thinking up something that could POSSIBLY, on a thread of fate, happen in modern times.. also, i always thought it would be really cool if Hollywood made a scary movies that took place in a forest... the big trees, morning mist, the sun kept out from the branches above... it'd be cool..
Fancy Dress ideas - Film and Movie theme?
My college at University is having a Film and Movie themed bar night, and I'm looking for ideas for a costume. I need something I can make or get together in a week, either for a male or female character. If it helps with ideas, I'm 5'6", female, quite curvy, with short, spiky purple hair and quite a few piercings (although I can take out four of them). I also wear thick framed glasses, on which I'm pretty dependent, although for a night, I can go without them. With regards to films, I like lots of different genres, from crime to fantasy to Hitchcock, but most characters seem to end up being in modern or conventional dress! I'm a pretty good seamstress, and could make a period dress, if pushed - I love the 1920s and 30s, so if anyone knows a well known film set in that era, please tell me! Any help would be much appreciated!
Is Hollywood running out of great movie ideas?
YES!!!! The only movies they are making are sequels, historical events, and best-selling books. About only 10% of all movies made are actually good these days. Even the sequels suck!! Hollywood needs some originality..
A good horror movie for tonight, any idea?

Jeepers Creepers (freaking creepy, especially at night..) -Stir of Echoes (great great scary movie... The only movie that can actually get to me and give me the creeps) -Fallen (very well made creepy movie..) -The House of A Thousand Corpses -Devils Rejects -The Ward (I think you might like this one too.. What makes a movie good?
This list is definitely not universal, but these elements are the ones that I sometimes think about after watching a film, especially if I liked it a lot.An interesting script. To achieve this, there has to be a suspense, a twist or excitement of any kind. However, the story should be basically simple, focused on one main event, one character, one relationship between characters or one idea. If there are too many things put inside a single film, the viewers will lose interest.Originality. This one also applies to the script. It is getting more difficult to come up with a good story that is worth telling and that hasn't been already put on screen. That's why there are so many remakes and sequels. But, the best movies are usually original and fresh.Being true-to-life. This can't be applied to all film genres, but those films that want to be considered realistic, have to resemble the real life. They have to be believable or they won't make sense at all.Good structure. It is important that all the scenes are meaningful, relevant to the story or character development and that they are of appropriate length. Repetition should be avoided. A director is the most responsible that all scenes are balanced and that they make a coherent unit.Good acting. When watching a film, viewers should think/should be encouraged to believe that they are watching real-life people. If somebody sticks out for acting strangely or unusual, something is not right with their acting.Characters. All the character's actions should be motivated and believable. The characters should be multi-layered and as complex as possible.Good pacing. Events in the film shouldn't be presented in a way that makes the audience bored (too slow) nor in a way that makes them unable to follow the story and understand the events (too fast).Visual beauty. The quality of a film that makes it look attractive and beautiful. In this respect, colours, contrasts, camera angle, the use of special effects etc. are relevant. Make-up and costumes are also two important visual elements.Sound. Is it okay to watch a movie alone at theatre?
Yes. It's awesome I mean you will feel one thing for sure that for watching movies in theatre you don't need a company. We need company only till we are outside of the theatre but once you are in you can have fun by yourself.I remember when I first left Pune and came to New Delhi I had no friends and I used to live all by myself and one day I thought I should go watch a movie. I uses to think like you because before that I never watched a single movies alone . It felt a little awkward at first but once I got settled down it all became so easy and I enjoyed it and after that till now I have watched more than 5 movies alone.People wants company for different reasons. If you go with friends then you can shout out some shitty comments and laugh together that's the only advantage I can guess.If you go with girlfriend/boyfriend then you can keep yourself busy in any other tasks if you know what I mean and you gonna miss movie too.But alone you gonna get everything from that movie but it doesn't mean you should always go alone. You should always go with friends or gf/bf buy if you don't have any one then go alone and enjoy.
