What is a plot summary?

“A plot summary is a condensed version of a piece of literature; a brief retelling of the story. A plot summary does not deal with the deeper meaning of the work. Example of plot summary In Kate Chopin’s short story, “The Story of an Hour,” the main character learns that her husband died in a train accident. Mrs. Mallard cries at first, but when she is left alone in her room, she begins to realise that her husband’s death will ultimately free her to live her own life. After she bravely comes back downstairs, she is surprised when her husband walks through the door. He had not been anywhere near the accident. Mrs. Mallard then drops dead of a heart attack.” It is also highly recommended to visit this page.Source:https://www.lipscomb.edu/writing...

What is the plot summary of SMALL STEPS?

After being released from the ill-managed Camp Green Lake, 17 year-old Theodore "Armpit" Johnson tries to rebuild a civilian life in Austin, Texas. His job is to dig trenches for the mayor of East Austin. He is a friend of Ginny McDonald, who has cerebral palsy, and who helps him with his so-called "silly" speech about bringing a stuffed animal and saying why it should be ruler of the world.

X-Ray comes in and makes a deal with Armpit about selling cheap Kaira DeLeon concert tickets to people who are in East Austin for more money than the original cost.

After selling most of the tickets, they eventually are stuck with 2 left. Despite the high demand for their last two tickets, X-Ray makes counterfeit copies and gives them to Armpit so he can take Tatiana. However, Tatiana cancels it, and he takes Ginny. Ginny has a seizure and Armpit almost gets arrested, and a sequence of events happens until Armpit and Ginny meet Kaira DeLeon, and watch from behind the speakers.

They eventually become good friends, when El Genuis plots to kill Kaira. After hitting her multiple times with a baseball bat, and stabbing Fred, Armpit comes in, and despite getting his arm broken by the bat, disarms him, and beats him. Police eventually come, and Kaira later recovers. She then is able to sing by February, albeit in a wavering, fragile voice.

I need a plot summary for the ABC Murders by Agatha Christie?

"A serial killer is murdering apparently random people in order of their names: first Alice Ascher of Andover, second Betty Barnard of Bexhill-on-Sea, third Sir Carmichael Clarke of Churston (a small village). The killer sends a letter to Hercule Poirot before each murder, telling him where and when each murder will take place, but Poirot and the police always arrive too late. The killer signs himself 'ABC' and at the place of each murder, leaves an ABC Railway Guide next to the body.

Poirot and the police are baffled until a series of clues lead them to suspect the murderer is travelling as a stocking salesman. Then the 'D' murder in Doncaster goes awry and a stocking salesman called Alexander Bonaparte Cust walks into a police station and surrenders.

The case seems closed, but although Cust has confessed to the crimes, he claims not to have heard of Hercule Poirot and can not explain the letters, although they were written on his typewriter. Cust suffers from epilepsy and is subject to blackouts. He claims he can not recall committing the murders, but he believes he committed them because he was in the vicinity of each crime scene. Poirot is suspicious and is later able to prove that Cust is innocent of the crimes.

In a twist ending Poirot reveals that the brother of Sir Carmichael Clarke, Franklin Clarke, committed the crimes in order to draw attention away from the murder of his brother. Franklin had met Cust by chance and decided to use him as part of his plan. He arranged for Cust to be hired as a stocking salesman and gave him a travel itinerary that ensured he was at the scene of each murder. He also sent Cust a box of ABC Railway Guides and a typewriter, on which he had already typed the 'ABC' letters." - Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_ABC_Murders)

Hope that helps!
