Need Smaller Screen Too Large On Screen

Do people like large screen size smartphones?

I prefer something with about a 5" screen, as I have large hands but anything much larger is hard to stick in my pocket. Anecdotally, most of the people I know using 'Phablets' with screens over 6 inches are women who carry them in a purse. The 5" point seems to be where most phones are settling, with small incremental increases as the amount of bezel around the edges is reduced (or eliminated, as with the Samsung Edge). I think issues of hand size and the 'pocket problem' will keep it at around that level in the future, although there might be an opening for entries with up to date internals but smaller screens, for people with smaller hands or some other reason to prefer a smaller screen, that is not being served.

My email screen is too small how do I make it bigger?

Click on the blue square at the top right to make it open to full page.

If that doesn't work, try this...

INCREASE OR DECREASE FONT SIZE:
With your account page open, click View from the IE toolbar.
From the drop down menu, rest your mouse on Text Size.
From the next menu, select the Font Size you prefer.

If your first selection is not the one you prefer, repeat the steps above.

My yahoo screen is too big. how do i reduce it back to normal?

Hiya JW and Tina A,

Could it be that I hear a different question then the others?

Lets see, the first thing most people would offer is how to change your text size in your Internet browser. Text size is made adjustable for the visually impaired and can be re-sized using:
the mouse wheel & the CTRL key (Sarahhh)
the + or - keys & the CTRL key (Douglas M)
the browser menu clicking on VIEW then TEXT SIZE

Now that we covered that, the question I hear is that only the Yahoo web site pages are too big and I am guessing that all of a sudden you need to scroll sideways to see the entire page.

Recently Yahoo added the wide screen page format which seems to turn itself on for no reason. If you are using a standard monitor when it turns on then alll the pages will be larger then your monitor causing you to scroll side to side and up and down.

To turn this off and on:
On the top part of the Yahoo home page, look at the lower right hand corner of the light blue banner just under the orange "Web Search" button. You will find a tiny down arrow labeled "Page Options". If you click on the down arrow you can change colors but you can also select "Switch To Narrow Layout". This will stop the sideways scrolling and it will effect all pages in Yahoo.

GOOD LUCK!!
