Need Tips On How To Study Read Description

How long should I study for the Series 66 and any tips?

Just passed the series 66 today. Used STC book. I would recommend you spend at least 40-50 hours total to study. You can read the material in about 20 hours to really absorb the info. Take your time. This is a bit different than the 7. You have to learn concepts, and state law. It is much less memorization, and more comprehension. STC also has great practice tests on a CD-Rom. You should spend 30 hours on these. Take each test twice! When you start scoring above 80% consistently, then you are ready.

They'll supply the calculator for you. Don't worry, you'll have about 4 math type questions (if that). Those are EASY!

Good Luck. I got a 84% on the 66 and passed on first try. I got a 90% on the Series 7 (probably over studied on that one).

Does anyone have any good study or note taking tips??

You have to try different things before you find your own. Do this...
Many of us are not good at reading before class, so forget about that.
Go to class, write down the key words and phrases that instructor lectures on. Write down anything you find interesting. Mark X in front of the topics that you find your instructor spent a lot of time on.
Now go home, read the assigned chapter and make notes or some people highlight it. I used to make my own notes. When you re-write, it stays in your memory. Now start reading the Chapter. Now read and see which topics your instructor gave lecture on. Make thorough note son them and try to understand them.
Some professors like to quiz you on some topics that he didn't cover. But it depends on each professor. Talk to your professor and ask him, if he will going to test you on the things he didn't lecture on. Then don't read them. In my life, I have had classes where professor surprise us with questions from topics he didn't discuss in the class, but they were in reading assignments. So find out

good luck.

What are some tips/techniques on studying comprehensively?

STUDY TIPS: some of the best ways to study is to change up the delivery of the information. For example, one day, have someone go through and quiz you orally (whether it be from a list of vocabulary words, or whether they go through your book and pull out key information, etc.). Another day, go through and go through your text book and notes and write out your own study guide. Another day, create your own test, including answer key. Put it aside for a few hours, then come back to it & take it.

Make sure you know the information BOTH WAYS. What I mean by that is, for example, vocabulary definitions. If someone were to ask you the word, you could state the definition, AND, if someone were to state a definition, you could state the word. Same thing with anything you're studying (a person & what they're known for; a date & the event, etc.)---> make sure you can recite the information both ways (if I give you a date, you can say what happened then, or if I give an event, you can name the date, etc.)

READING COMPREHENSION: one of the best things you can do is to preview the questions first, then read the passage (in full). Something else you can do (after previewing the questions, and while you read), is to circle key words in the passage that are related to questions--that way you can find it quicker later when you go to answer the question.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

I have a study date tomorrow with a girl, give me some tips/advice?

Ask her if she'd like to study naked.
