Why the english rock band Queen stole ABBA music?
Um... Bohemian Rhapsody was written in 1975. They began recording it in August, and Mamma Mia wasn't released until September 1975. So unless you're proposing that Freddie broke into ABBA's recording studio and stole the tapes, your claim has no basis. Dancing Queen was released in 1976, Queen formed in 1970... The Winner Takes All was released in 1980, We Are the Champions was released in 1977. You should have gotten your facts straight before you made such claims. So really, for those last three, you should believe that ABBA copied from Queen.
Music Major, English Minor?
There are no jobs out there that ask for a bachelor's degree in music (performance); none, zero, nada, zip, zilch. That's the bottom line. It's not a vocational degree. Most people with a degree in music become teachers of music - some others do other things not related to music. Some are professional musicians - but not because they have a degree in music. Getting a job as a musician requires exceptional talent. All of the degrees in the world won't help if you can't make it through the audition. In fact, most performing gigs never ask "where'd you go to college" or "what degree do you have" - nobody cares. You can refine and develop that talent while getting a degree but it's not the degree that gets the job. Career-wise; a bachelor's degree in music (performance or general) will qualify you for all of the jobs you can apply for with a bachelor's degree in anything - the jobs that don't require a specific major (such as sales). Exceptional talent will qualify you for a career in performing. A double with English (or journalism) could qualify you to become a music journalist though. That's not a bad job and people that have it seem to like it a lot.

Unfortunately, an Internet search indicate that there are no rock bands in Ahmedabad. However, you can consider forming your own rock band with the following tips: Find musicians. Typically, for a rock band, you will need at least one guitarist, one bassist, one keyboardist/pianist, and a drummer -- the lead singer can either play an instrument or not. Advertise that you are looking for prospective band members in cafes, music shops, etc. It helps if these musicians have some musical education. At the very least, someone needs to in order to provide a voice of reason that others may not be able to provide. It is not always important to choose the "best" players. In many cases, bands of musicians who get along, are easy going, and willing to learn to play together will sound better than bands comprised of very good musicians with big egos. Consider making a "band agreement." It is hard to get four or five musicians with individual lives to commit to each other and the musical project. One band member who is never available to rehearse or do shows can kill a band. This "contract" will offer some protection for what a member can do with the name, payment, ownership of songs, equipment, etc., if/when he/she leaves the band. Find a practice space. Will it be in someone's basement? Garage? Will you keep all of your equipment there? Get permission from whoever owns the property you and your band choose for your practice space. Practice! Becoming a good band takes time and effort. Practice will also ensure that you and your band-mates develop a rapport. Come up with a name. You could pick something meaningful, or just one that sounds great. Typically the entire band will decide on the name. The best names are usually short and easy to read and spell; that way it's easy to remember. Do not use a name that is already trademarked, unless you plan on being a tribute band. Record a demo or record. This will be your best piece of promotional material. It can be sold at shows, used to get record deals, agents, managers, etc., and used to promote to fans online.
American/British/English-Speak... Bands That Sound Like Rammstein?
Alright guys, I have a bit of a challenge for you I normally like punk music, but there are a few exceptions I make, one of them being Rammstein. I want bands that have kind of growly, but not screaming, lyrical style and the same sort of not show-offy guitaring, but with the lyrics in English. Best answer gets 5 whole points! GO!
Why do other countries listen to American music, but we have very few foreign artists here (Non-English)?
I'm guessing because other countries demand or ask for other countries music, and also because most foreign countries second language is English or learning how to speak English am I right. But in America the language we mostly learn is Spanish that's why we have so many Hispanic singers and Hispanic radio stations. But hey some bands/groups/artist so tour down here like I went to 'Wonder Girls' concert in DC almost about a month ago.
