New Jobs Where Created Is That Take Into Account The People Who Retired

Which Jobs available for after retirement in India?

This question is a concern which many of us understand and relate to here in india as well as around the world. Once one goes past a certain age in his/her life (60 i.e the retirement age of government services in India). The individual realizes that professionally he/she has amassed a lot of experience & knowledge into certain domain. Also, something that needs to be taken into account here is that roles which require physical labor cant be overtaken by the age of one's retirement, as the body slows down after an age and physically laborious jobs become unproductive. Now,depending on the domain of expertise or knowledge, one can build certain prospects for the type of job he or she wishes to undertake. Let me dig into this deeper by explaining the roles which can be suitable for individuals above 60 years with approximately 30 to 35 years of experience into a domain.1) Consulting - Corporate companies and ventures look for people with great amount of experience into a certain domain to be involved in their operational machinery. Decades of experience comes in handy to companies which wish to grow, expand or build products or services. Corporate companies are usually in a hunt to get people with 20 to 30 years of experience on their board or on a consulting based role which can assist the smooth functioning of the company as well as help build some reputation in the market through contacts which comes from these people.Example- People with experience in Banking can look out for roles with private banks or investment firms which value their experience with public banks and can help private banks restructure their departments to improve efficiency and build robust customer growth.2) Teaching -This is one field which is very popular among retired people. The growing number of private education institutions around the country requires knowledgeable and experienced people to take up teaching roles to nurture young minds and mold them into industry ready professionals once they graduate from the school. A domain specific experience can help retired people land up jobs of lecturers or teachers in colleges, universities and coaching institutions.Example- Engineering colleges and coaching institutions in general look for people with vast experience to join their institution to help them deliver better quality teaching experience with an additional information on industry outlook to help prepare students and make them job ready.Hope this helps.

Why not use the stimulus package to voluntarily retire people over 50 that are still working?

There are over 40 million people over the age of 50 that are still working. Why not offer them 1 million dollars a piece to take a patriotic retirement with strings attached?

The strings attached.

1. You must buy an American made car = 40 million cars bought= Auto industry fixed

2. You must purchase a house= 40 million homes bought= Housing market fixed

3. You must retire from your job= 40 million job openings= Employment fixed.

Why are we not really getting creative in fixing the economy instead of flushing our money?

What will happen to the people who lose their jobs from automation?

A2A.TL;DR: Prepare for a career change, but relax a bit too. Read up on which careers are considered to grow in the future, like IT and healthcare. The risk shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone nowdays, so hopefully they will see it coming and prepare - and not take the existence of their career for granted. I just switched from retail sales (after about 10 years) to software development myself, albeit something I’ve always had a big interest in. But even if big retailers still hire, Amazon and others are making almost all retail jobs into marketing or logistics.But. If you realize that change is coming, what to switch to? Well, automation doesn’t mean completely independent robots. They still break down and they still need to be programmed. And they still suck at some things, ask Elon Musk. And while production gets automated to a larger degree, production capacity will increase too with the world population increasing some more demanding stuff to be produced and consumed. Which means more jobs in total, even if the ratio of automation increases.Bottom line is it’s naive to think you are ever good for life. Unless you focus hard on saving up for an early retirement, don’t get caught off guard about how you keep food on the table and a roof over you head. We are in the middle of an industrial revolution that can affect anyone, probably multiple times during a lifetime too.But it's probably not going to erase entire professions over night either. There will be time to adjust.

Do you think retired people could be ideal passengers in self-driving cars?

But, but… everyone is a passenger in self-drive cars surely? I’m retired and I would love a self-drive car - providing all the other cars were self-drive. Where I live (Philippines) if you give an inch, the rest of the city - along with 7000 multicabs and jeepneys - will take a yard. Here a self-drive car needs to use its sensors to make sure that a taxi knows that it’s only a millimetre from an accident, such that the bastard gives way. If it’s a multicab or a jeepney, they will just hit you anyway as they don’t carry insurance and the driver will probably do a runner… Special software needed here to handle that.I like the idea of sending the coven to the mall in a self-drive car. None of them - being girly girls - has a clue which way to turn the wheel when in reverse, and just hope that the car will magic itself into a convenient space without turning the steering at all - or a helpful security guard will guide them or park it for them (one advantage amongst many of being a girly girl). The SDC will acknowledge my instructions to look after my womenfolk, drive to the mall (with or without me), women gassing away in the back, drop them off and find somewhere to park (doesn’t matter where). When they are done they just summon the car (if they can find the summon button on the keyfob or their car iphone app - best to put it next to the FB or Instagram icon) and it obligingly comes to the mall entrance and picks them all up, plus shopping and takes them home again. Gassing away in the back.Utopia - especially for retired people who have more important things to do than drive women to the mall.

What are some reasons people quit high-paying jobs?

There are many forms of compensation that are not directly income based and mag not even be monetary.Jeff Bezos quit a very high-paying job to start Amazon. It was several years before his income rivaled what he would have been earning had he not started Amazon. He only works now because he wants to work, most of his income now is not really directly related to his current work. A lower paying job or maybe even not having a job, may be about creating a more lucrative place in the future.Working remotely means FT is about 40 hours per week, working a commuter job where I live means FT is at least 50 hours a week. A 2000/week remote job compares to at least a 2600/week commute job for me.Cost and life quality always beat revenue. Cost minimization is almost always a more optimal way to increase profit as opposed to revenue maximization. How highly do you value your time with family and friends? How passionate are you about working at what you want versus outsourcing your time, skills and labor to someone else?Your significant other may get a very high paying job. If you plan to stay with her (maybe him), you may have to take a pay cut yourself. I had a friend who made a good total compensation but his wife was offered a senior leadership position with a total compensation package worth just shy of a half million annually. The big issue is that her position was going to put her overseas where what he did wasn't an option.

Why don't young people want to work in the same company until they retire?

Thanks for the A2A.I think this is more about opportunities than 'young people', even going  back 30 years pre Internet and in some respects same applies today, you  leave the education system with maybe some qualification, you find  employment in order to gain a wage and more importantly experience. This  experience allows people to find better paid jobs in other companies or  move up the ladder in the company they are employed.Nothing  has changed in this respect, some people found their dream job which  allowed them to learn and move up, others hit the proverbial ceiling  and could see no other opportunity for growth in that company and moved  on.Today  people are coming out of the education system with higher  qualifications, combine that with the increased number of companies and a  more mobile society leads to greater opportunity for employees. You  also have got to take into consideration the 'family' factor, a person  with children will more likely be willing to stay in one job in order to  support his/her family, a none family person can take chances. They  do say up to 80% of employee's are not happy in their jobs,  so I don't  think it's about 'young people' it's more about finding new opportunities  for personal growth which become less and less when you get older.
