New Middle School Tips

Middle school advice/tips?

-Do the homework. I slacked in 6th, in 7th but in 8th, I still didn't have much difficulties but had high honor roll all quarters. It's quite easy to pass, atleast I would say.
-Wear whatever you want. Many girls with start wearing makeup. Don't try to dress like everyone else. It's cool and unique to be yourself.
-In middle school(the middle school I went to) their was a thing called stay-a-wake athon where you spend the night at the school(7th&8th grade). Also, my school had plays, like Will Wonka Jr. My sister was Mrs.Bucket while I was in stage crew. But your school will be different from mine so don't expect all these things!
-What's not cool...hmmm...Man, many things are not cool. It's different for everyone. I was bullied in 6th grade, 7th grade and a little in 8th grade. YOU HAVE TO STAND YOUR GROUND. NEVER and I mean NEVER let anyone pick on you AT ALL. Be strong.
-Lockers are cool, always forget my codes, though.
-Some teachers are mean, others are nice, as always.
-You'll lose and gain friends along the way. You may hang out with the wrong crowd for one year and be in the perfect one the next. Try keeping friends you really REALLY like. if you lose touch, try to gain your friendship again. And listen, don't be that clingy friend, you want to be independent sometimes, but you don't want to be a loner.

Your entering middle school while I'm entering high school. Those 3 years will go fast. Enjoy yourself. Do things you have interest in. Be yourself, don't try to be anyone else.Make sure you do every single homework and have enough school supplies. Good luck my friend. :)

Tips for a being a new girl at school?

People who are already at the school had to be in a similar situation at one point but obviously it may had been a little different because most of them had started that school with everyone else too.

Nevertheless, it's understandable that you're nervous because it's a new environment and everything and you might feel as if everyone has got their friends sorted out and know where they're going, but you'll soon get used to it and make new friends just like you had in your previous school. Just remember that there will probably be more new girls after you too and they'll feel just like you do!

Maybe on the first few days you could stick with your friend so you can help each other and meet up between lesson/break to catch up. Don't be afraid to ask people for help, I'm sure most people would be more than happy to guide you and you could even make a few new friends this way. If you have any issues or concerns, ask a member of staff for some advice. Another tip: BE YOURSELF AND BE POSITIVE!! I know this is easier said than done and this is all a scary concept but you shouldn't get caught up about people judging you or not liking the person you are.

The first day might seem a little draining and hectic but it's all part of the process - just keep an open mind. Talk to someone about your first day whether it be a parent/guardian, friend, neighbour, whoever. Just talk about how you feel and if you have any concerns.

Lastly, don't forget to smile as this makes you seem approachable, confidant and gives you a positive attitude.

Once you feel as if you've settled in a little, go ahead and join some clubs as this will widen your circle of friends because you'll find people with similar interests as you and so something you can bond about.

Great to know that you're excited - I'm sure you'll do great!

Good luck! :)

I lost my schedule before school and Middle School Tips PLZ!!!!!?

I'm gonna be in middle school too! I haven't gotten my schedule yet but since u lost it, u should contact the middle school and ask for another one. They will, trust me. Hmm... tips... my sis gave me some tips so here they are:
Don't run to ur classes-
Running to classes make u look really stupid. 5 minutes passing period is more than enough. U will get to class in time . Mostly there is like 2 bells, 1 is class is over and get to ur next class and the 2nd one is that class is starting.
Get ur homework done-
Even though it may be a lot, get it done early. Homework is like 75% of ur grade and if u don't get it done by the next day (or when it is due), then u will get half the credit and no make-up's (extra credit, re due's, etc.)
Be yourself-
Being ur self is so easy yet really hard. U will make a lot of friends by doing this simple task and school will be a lot better because u wont have to act like someone else. This will give into peer pressure very fast so just act ur self.
Listen to teachers-
Ur teacher's aren't giving u work because they hate u or what not, they want u to pass and get a head start in future. Be nice to them because they have a hard job. Have a conversation or something, don't just say hi and walk away, but don't brown nose or be a teacher's pet (they hate that). Also, listening to them will make u a lot smarter, of course. They are pretty much giving u the answers to ur test or quiz.
Have lots and lots of fun-
Middle school is one of the funnest experience. This also includes hard work but it will pay off. It gets really fun! All the freedom and such. So try to have fun but also work hard and be serious.

I AM REALLY EXCITED!! Aren't u? Don't be scared if u are. :D

Oh and also put a mini white board in ur locker and wright down some reminders.

How can I make friends in middle school?

Middle school is tough for everyone but here are a few things you can try:Talk to the people that sit next to you in class. They are the ones you will see the most, after all.If you share a locker, talk to your locker-mate whenever you're both there.Talk to your friends’ friends.Try sitting at different tables in the cafeteria until you find a group you like.Find someone sitting alone and ask if you can join them even if their friends are on their way.If you need to borrow something (pencil, erasers, yesterday's notes), ask someone you've never talked to or someone you don't know well.Join a club or a sports team or a camp or a church group outside of school or in school.Be the one to suggest plans outside of school. Some people never think about that or don't want to be the one to make suggestions. Invite a group of people to the movies or mini-golf or pizza or video games at your house. Some of them will probably come and if they don't, ask different people next time.Set mini-challenges for yourself for the number of fellow classmates you're going to talk to every day.Talk to your school counselor to see if they have any suggestions specific to your school or town.Basically, the more people you talk to multiple times, the better chances you have of finding people that like you and share some of your interests and match your sense of humor.
