Nfl Cowboys At Hawks Your 2 Cents

NFL: Hawks beat Washington! Your 2 cents on the flags?

The best way to avoid being flagged for a penalty is to not commit the penalty.
Q1. Everyone in the NFL knows that it is illegal to dive on an opponent like that. Harvin should be mad at the idiot who unnecessarily did it (don't remember who it was). You hardly see that penalty called because usually people aren't dumb enough to do it. It is going to be called every time.
Q2. Who knows. If he threw the flags for things that were not penalties, then you might have a legitimate gripe but since an illegal offense occurred on each play, it carries no merit.
Q3. Rule changes aren't pulled out of a hat. There are reasons for everything they implement and unless you have an equal but opposite reason they shouldn't be penalties why worry about it.

There was no conspiracy against the Seahawks vs. Washington. They are notorious for getting flagged, not because they are picked on but because they commit a lot of penalties.

Whos a better team, Dallas Cowboys or Seattle Seahawks?

It's not even close, and it is the Dallas Cowboys. Romo is a solid QB, better than Hasselbeck, their running game is great, now that they have a new coach, I'm sure they are going to use them a lot more. He will take advantage of having 2 good RBs. Seattle's running game is below average for an NFL team. The receiving isn't close either, Bryant and Austin are great, Williams can be good at times, Witten is possible the best TE in the game today. the Cowboys defense was terrible last year, but it got better after Phillips was fired. They both have bad defenses, but I think this year, Dallas' will be better. They got good players on there like Ware, Ratliff, and Newman. Seattle will remain toward the bottom.

Dallas is much better.

Yes - they were a playoff team last year and they just got better through the draft. Last year they had arguably the best offensive line in football and they just added a first round talent for free by picking up Collins as a UDFA. I am not in the Adrian Peterson bandwagon and I think they made the right choice in avoiding a bidding war for DeMarco Murray. We don't need an all pro runner to run behind this line to be successful. The key this year - which was ultimately the glaring weakness of last year - will be the pass rush. We couldn't get to the quarterback last year. Aaron Rodgers could have been sitting in a recliner in the pocket during that playoff game. DeMarcus Lawrence was drafted last year to rush and started coming in late in the year. We just got one of the best rushers in the draft for a bargain in the second round in Gregory. We signed Hardy in the off season but he will be out for ten games before he can make an impact - coming in fresh just in time for crunch time and the playoffs. An improved rush will improve the secondary - but we just got better there too with the addition of true first rounder Byron Jones - the "senator".  We also get Sean Lee back in the linebacker core - pray he doesn't get injured again. Some may doubt Romo's track record, but he in no way was the weakness last year and he does not have to be the hero as often with the offensive line and running game pumping. If it wasn't for "the catch that wasn't" against Green Bay, we might've been the Super Bowl contender last year.

NFL Season Opener! Pack at Seahawks! your 2 cents?

seattle is at home and they have one of the loudest crowds in football, green bay is good but their the away team and seattle's defense will shut down aaron Rodgers, I don't think eddie lacy can win the game for GB

Look for HAHA Clinton Dix and WR Davante Adams on the packers, look for WR paul Richardson of the seahawks

Do the seahawks still have a shot at the west?

Yea the west is up for grabs, but any team can beat any other team on a given Sunday. The Cards win over Dall@$$ was great, but it wasn't so much that Arizona dominated, it was more that the Cowpies beat themselves with turnovers, even down to the last punt that was blocked and recovered and ran in for a TD from the 2yd marker for an Arizona win. But of all the teams in the west, the cards have the best offense and pretty good defense when they show-up. So at this point they have the best chance for the division. But there are 10 more games and anything could happen. Hey the niners could be the sleeper that comes on strong in the end. or OMG could it even be the Rams? Naaw, they just got lucky, like the Cards, and the beneficiary of NFC East team stumbling and fumbling for a lost. So with that said, sure the Seahawks still has a chance, if they get injuries resolved and start playing some real football.

Most of the time, the Cowboys wear white at home. Like this:(image via sportsworldnews.com)This tradition was started in the 1960s by Tex Schramm, the original owner of the Cowboys, who wanted to see more colors at home games. And since most other teams wear their colors at home, the Cowboys wear white on the road most of the time as well. However, occasionally, another team will choose to wear white and force the Cowboys to wear blue. Like this:(image via fansided.com)There is also something known as the “Blue Jersey Curse”, so named because of the bad luck the Cowboys have sometimes when wearing blue jerseys. I cannot back this up, however. It is just something we Cowboys fans say.

NFL: Bengals at Patriots! Your 2 Cents?

Q1: Based on what I have seen so far this season, I think the Cincinnati Bengals will beat the New England Patriots by at least 3 touchdowns. The Bengals have looked like one of the best teams in the NFL this season, while the Patriots have struggled.

Q2: I see Brady throwing one interception, and losing two fumbles.

NFL: Bengals at Patriots! Your 2 Cents?

I'm not going to say Brady is no longer terrific Tom, because that's just not really true. That's like saying Peyton Manning can no longer win a game in stunning fashion because of that one huge loss to the Seahawks. Or that Brees lost his stuff after that terrible year with Bountygate. Or Eli lost his stuff after last year's horrible year. None of those guys have lost their stuff. Peyton has rebounded after the Super Bowl. Brees rebounded after Bountygate. And Eli is starting to have a pretty respectable performance now.

A lot of that really depends on the situation they are in:

How good is their offensive line?
How many players are out injured?
How well is the defense playing?
Can the opposing defense hurry the QB or move him off his spot?
Can the receivers get open?
Is the running game working, helping to open up the passing game?

All of these things are factors.

I'm a Colts fan that lives in Patriots country. So I'm quite familiar with the Pats, Colts, Bengals and Chiefs.

Brady really struggles when he is forced to move out of the pocket. And the Pats defense struggles against teams that can run the ball well. That's two things that the Chiefs and Bengals both do well. I picked the Chiefs to beat the Pats because Alex Smith is a very good mobile quarterback and the Chiefs have some very talented running backs. Also, the Chiefs defense can do a good job of putting pressure on a quarterback and forcing the Quarterback to move.

I'm going to pick the Bengals, even though they will be playing in Foxborough because the Bengals had a bye this past week, giving the Bengals 2 weeks to prepare for the Pats. The Bengals also have a good running game. Dalton isn't as mobile as Smith. However the Bengals defense is even better than the Chiefs at getting to the QB. Last year the Pats only scored 2 field goals against the Bengals. So don't look for this to be a high scoring game by the Pats.

I think Brady likely gets 1-2 picks. Brady is not a quarterback to get picked regularly. Two picks is a little high for him. But with the pressure the Bengals put on him, he might see two.

I doubt the Pats get blown out 2 weeks in a row, but I think we might see a rare situation where the Pats record for the season so far is a losing record of 2-3.

Packers or Seahawks?

1) Packers vs. Seahawks

I have watched the Seahawks all season long and Shawn Alexander has not had one decent game all year. Packers have two outstanding corners that can shut down the Seahawks biggest recieving threat, Deion Branch. Great QB matchup.

Prediction: Packers 24, Seahawks 13

2) Cowboys vs. Giants

I believe the Cowboys have the 2nd most explosive offense in the league behind the Pats. T.O.'s proven he can still be a threat while hurt numerous times, most noticeably in the Eagles vs. Pats Superbowl a few years back. Tony Romo will play much better then he did in his last playoff performance. I think Eli's gonna have the shakes in this game.

Prediction: Cowboys 35, Giants 17

3) Pats vs. Jaguars

This is the game I am looking forward to the most. Pats are a definite favorite, but the Jags are coming in hot with an impressive win over the Steelers. I believe the Jags will stun the Patriots in the first quarter or two with some quick TD's, but Tom Brady's late game heroics will once again be on display in New Engand. New England will need to slow down the Jags physical running game to pull this one off, they're biggest weakness is stopping the run. Time of posession is key for the Jags.

Prediction: Patriots 24, Jaguars 21

Colts vs. Chargers

I'm guessing from you calling them the Thunder Bolts that the Chargers are your favorite team. Chargers will be tough for the Colts. They have really looked sharp the second half of the season. Peyton will not have the same game he had against them earlier in the season on Sunday Night Football, and he's going to be tough for the Chargers to tame. The key to this game is LT. He has to have a big game for the Chargers to pull this one off.

Prediction: Colts 24, Chargers 17
