@Melissa: That wasn't dissent. That was whining and b1tching. In order to be 'dissent', you need to present an alternative. You can't just say you don't like the situation or the approach. You need to provide a better approach to the solution to the problem. That was the problem with the 'dissent' to Bush. Rational alternatives were rarely, if ever proposed. THAT is the difference.

I absolutely agree with Mr. Johnson.What he's calling attention to is that scoundrels, when challenged, will often use false patriotism in order to shut up their opponents. It's a form of Ad Hominem Attack which is precisely demonstrated by Shrubs' national speech on his grand Orwellian lie the USA "Partiot" Act (which should, by all Rights, have been named the Anti Constitutional Traitors' Act)The principle is also amply demonstrated in the name which was so carefully and conveniently created for that grand lie.Obama’s TRUE legacy Note: The FACT that Obama freely cosigned this fascist shit during a time when he had an unassailable majority of Democrats in the US Congress makes it HIS POLICY TOO.
