No Internet On New Pc Build

New computer build won't boot.?

First thing, are the 2 6pin PCI-E connectors attached to the video card? If they are, are both sticks of ram in the same color slot, should both be in the blue slots. Unplug and remove the data cables for other items, harddrive, opticals etc. Just the CPU, GPU, single stick of ram and HSF. Does the machine turn on and post? If it does or doesn't, power down, and remove the single ram module and replace it with the other. Power on, does it post? If it wont post you have faulty ram, RMA it. If so, power down and install both in blue, If you get no post with the bare minimum installed, and it wont work with either piece of ram installed, it could be a video card issue, or it could be the processor. Is your processor supported by that board? You did not list the CPU you had.

New PC build not working? help, please?

Specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P AM3+
Graphics card: HIS R9 285
Power Supply: Rosewill ARC 750 (750W)
Processor: AMD FX 8370 8-core 4.0Ghz with Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste
RAM: 4x4GB 1600Mhz Corsair Vengeance
HDD: 1TB
Case: NZXT S340

Attempt to boot my PC, and the light turns on, but the fans do not spin, and there is no sign of activity. I do, however, see the top fan spin just a few degrees, and halt. As if it tried to boot but soon recognized an interference. What am I doing wrong? This is my first ever build, which I wish to use for games, 3D modeling, editing, etc.

The monitor I use is a Dell monitor that uses VGA. I have a DVI-D dual-link male to VGA female adapter for this, but there is still no display. I'm assuming it's due to the PC not booting properly.

please help?

New computer build not working(DRAM Led Red)?

Hello, I built my first computer yesterday and it wouldn't boot. Every fan is working and spinning, my mobo got power etc.

However it wouldn't post up on the screen, the only error I could find was that the DRAM Led was red.

This is the full component list:

Case: NZXT 810 Switch White
Mobo: Asus Sabertooth Z77
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k
GPU: EVGA GTX 680
RAM: Corsair 8GB DDR3 Vengeance LP 2x4 (White) Not on the qualified list but should't matter.
Power supply: Corsair AX 860 (Fully modular)
SSD: Samsung 256GB 840 Pro

So far i've tried:

-Resetting CMOS.
-Every single memory slot with both sticks, also ran MemOk! on both of them.
-A friend of mine who have built a lot of computers helped rebuild it from scratch but still the same problem so I don't think there was anything wrong with the build in the first place.

Anyone have any clue what the problem might be?

Can I connect my newly built pc to the internet without an ethernet cable or WIFI card?

1. a recently built computer has an ethernet port to which you can connect a 2 dollars cable to be connected to the router2. if you do not have wifi network adapter in your computer, you can buy a wifi usb adapter for a price of about 20 usd ( wifi usb - Google Search  ). When you buy it check it is supported for the operating system you are using. You will then connect your computer to wifi access point.3. if your laptop connects to wifi and has a free ethernet network interface, and if your computer is close to your laptop, you could just do some reconfiguration, put a network cable between laptop and computer and have the laptop share the wifi connection to your pc thru the ethernet cable. Your computer will then access the internet thru the laptop.4. buy a 3g/4g usb internet dongle, with a sim card, and access the internet via a mobile operator service. (you need to pay the mobile access cost)5. connect your smartphone with usb cable and perform tethering for internet access. (your internet costs will be charged on your mobile phone contract, which should explicitly allow this use for some providers.)Easiest and more suitable solution for you is probably n. 2

Why can't I connect to the internet on my Gateway NV5915h?

A kid was messing with my laptop and somehow disabled the wireless card and replaced my network connection with a dial-up connection. When I checked my Device Manager, I had a crapload of network adapters installed, and whenever I tried uninstalling them, they still showed up in the list.

I used my phone to download the WLAN drivers from the Gateway website. I copied them to the laptop, installed them by searching for the driver software in the folder the drivers were in. The drivers installed correctly and now the wireless connections show up in the taskbar once again.

The only problem is that I always get the error message "Windows cannot connect to this network" no matter what.

What do I do?

How do I connect my CCTV (VHX264) to the internet?

Unfortunately, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your DVR to find out which ports need to be forwarded and how to check to see what its IP address is.

Once you have this information, you will need to access your router by typing in the routers IP address into Internet Explorer on a computer that is connected to the router.

If you do not know what the address of the router is, you can go to the start menu on Windows XP, Vista or 7 and go to "run" and type in "cmd". When the black box appears, type in "ipconfig" and look at the default gateway address. This address will be the address of your router.

Once you log into the router, you will need to go to the port forwarding section of the router and forward the ports specified by the manufacturer to the IP address of the DVR. When this is done, you should be able to access your dvr from outside your network using your external IP address.

To find your external IP address, go to http://www.whatismyip.com/ from a computer that is connected to the same network your dvr is on, and it will let you know what your external IP address is.

Hope this gets you set in the right direction. Email me if you have any further questions!

New Build PC, No signal to Monitor! Help?

Hello, I just recently bought all the required parts to build my own PC. After putting all the parts together correctly I turned the PC on, the fans for the GPU PSU Case Fan CPU Fan The LEDS all came on, the optical drives and harddrives booted up.. My CPU does not have integrated Graphics btw, anyway.. I plugged my GPU using VGA and HDMI on multiple Moniters and tvs. It just says no signal.. I used pc part picker to make sure all the parts were compatible and other people have used the same build as me with no problems whatsoever..
Here are my parts:
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R7 260k
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8gb Ram
HDD: WD Black 1TB
PSU: Corsair CX 430
Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01 Mid Tower Gaming Case
CPU: AMD Athlon 760k Richland
Motheboard: MSI A78M-E35

I bought an internal speaker for my mother board today because i couldnt find one on it so maybe that will tell me if its the GPU thats the problem or not.. And I can return the motherboard, im thinking of getting a different one because maybe its the motherboard.. If the beeps dont tell me anything im taking it to a Computer Repair shop and it will cost $25 Minimum.. So if anyone has a solution that would be great.. Thanks to anyone that responds

Where are bottlenecks in a PC build?

A bottleneck is when one piece of hardware restricts another piece of hardware from performing as efficiently as it is capable of. To be clear bottlenecks are NOT restricted to just the CPU and GPU, but can occur between any two or more pieces of hardware. If you have a high end CPU and equally matched GPU but slow and/or a low amount of RAM for a task such as gaming, you can notice problems such as a drop in frame rate. This is because your RAM is slowing down your rig.Or let’s say you have a perfectly paired CPU and GPU, but your PSU is only supplying enough power to run then under 50% load. If more power is demanded, you’ll get a bottleneck (and likely problems) because of an under-powered PSU.More commonly would be transferring data from an old HDD to a USB 3.0 storage device. If the HDD doesn’t have the read speeds that match the USB 3.0 write speeds, you’ll have a bottleneck. You can even get bottlenecks on your network. This generally happens if you have a slow router/access point, or maybe you’re going from a wired connection to a wireless connection. While bottlenecks are mostly common around the GPU and CPU, you can get a bottleneck anywhere.

Is it okay to connect to the internet on my music production pc?

Yes, for OS and security updates, as well as activation and updates for your music production software. You would not want to have it connected to the internet all the time though. Treat your music production PC like your other music gear. Your music gear isn’t made to check Facebook and download torrents. It’s also good practice anyway. All connected computers are more vulnerable to attacks, and doing things like social media and downloading files will slow down both your processing and your workflow.
