No Reply To Two Resignation Emails Should I Do A No-show

Can my employer refuse to accept my letter of resignation?

Just post it to HR…If they also dont accept, just check your No dues and then move

What can be consequences of absconding after mailing resignation letter?

Please ask your friend not to worry so much and carry on with his new job unless he needs the experience certificate . A company would not waste so much of energy on a already gone resource. If they bother you too much go to any lawyer forum and check stories of how such a stupid companies can get screwed up with bigger pay-offs if they screw around with resources.

My boss sent goodbye email for her resignation, what is the best reply for that email?

"I have enjoyed working with you. Good luck in the future. Take care,"

You can add "keep in touch" and a personal email address if you were close enough for that not to be awkward.

Is it tacky to send your boss your resignation via email?

I know that we’re living in a highly technological age and I do understand that emails are considered "official" in many circumstances. However, I'm still pretty old school when it comes to quitting a job. I've always believed that the only tasteful way to leave a job is to go to your boss’s office and tell him/her FACE-TO-FACE that you appreciate the opportunity, but you are going to pursue another opportunity.

I have a friend who has always submitted her resignations via email and doesn't see a problem with it... even with jobs that she has worked at for a long time. The last several employers that she's had since I've known her did little to nothing to "see her off" and I'm starting to wonder if it's because of her method of giving notice.

She says that emailing a resignation is perfectly acceptable these days. I think it's a little tacky.

Am I behind the times?

Should I give a resignation letter if the company has asked me to leave?

It would be ill-advised to send them a resignation letter as that may absolve them from any possible legal action that you might wish to bring against them and it could be used to prevent you from seeking unemployment when you leave. I would strongly suggest that you discuss this matter with an attorney before you take any action going forward.Myself, if I were in this situation, I would consider this to be a termination, I would not provide any letter and I would apply for unemployment as soon as possible. If you don’t have enough credit in the system to get unemployment (most states require at least three quarters of employment with one or more employers, meaning nine months, unless there were extraordinary circumstances) you may not be eligible; but at least you’ll have made the effort. In the future, I would also advise that you carefully listen to what you are told during your interview process. While this startup may be run by incompetent people, it’s probable that you were informed of your need to be flexible and that you were unwilling or unable to do so.

Yahoo7 and NO EMAIL access why? - Yahoo won't answer, apparently its a "Server"issue.?

I upgraded Firefox to Firefox optimized for Yahoo and bam. No more access to Email.
After three messages to to Yahoo and 3 days later I rang them on 1800 260 048 (Aust) Response = sorry we have a "Server"problem but there was no ETA or alternative. That was 3-4 weeks ago.

I was with Yahoo from the beginning, through thick and thin. But unless they get their act together, I will be actively advising people to abort Yahoo as they have caused huge problems.

Who-ever is the Customer Service Director for Yahoo - they should resign and find another line of work.
