No Signal With My Computer

My computer screen keeps saying "No Signal"?

"No Signal" is the way modern monitors react when the computer stops sending to them. It sounds like your machine is going to standby or hibernation after a period of time. Try this:

In Windows XP:

1.Right-click on the desktop and select Properties.
2.Click the Screen Saver tab.
3.Click the Power button.
4.Adjust the Turn Off Monitor list box, or,
5.Adjust the System Standby list box.
6.OK out of everything.

On Windows Vista:

1.Right-click on the desktop and select Personalize.
2.Click the Change power settings link.
3.Click Choose when to turn off the display.
4.Adjust the Turn off the display list box and the Put the computer to sleep list box.
5.Click Save Changes or OK.

Hope that helps.

Asus all-in-one computer monitor no signal?

How is that considered as a AoN (All in One?) A monitor can't physically be in the tower. If you are talking you bought it in the same package, then that is a different story. Anyway, im thinking that you dont connect the ps3 and pc together. Anyway, if it is a DVI cable, make sure it is properly in. My computer often says no signal even though it is running, but the problem was my computer wasn't actually sending a video signal so it is your computer. If this didn't help, go somewhere outside yahoo answers and search on the web or go to a computer professional.

My computer monitor says "no signal".?

I have an E machines computer that runs on Windows 7. I have had it since 2011. One day in February of this year, my brother unplug both the computer and monitor from the outlet while both of them were still on. So after he did that, I plug them back up, and when they both came back on, the monitor had said "no signal" and the e button on the monitor went back from green to orange. So after many times trying to keep the monitor e button green by turning both the monitor and computer on it still kept saying no signal and wouldn't show anything. The only thing that would show was "no signal" and then it would turn off as the button on the monitor would be orange. I bought a new cable that connects the monitor and computer but it still would say no signal. And normally when I turn them on and they work there would be a beep sound from the computer but now there's no signal there isn't a beep sound. So my question is what can be the problem and how can I fix it? Can it be from unplugging it from the wall while it was on, or maybe there's too much dust inside the computer, or what because I' m very confuse right now, and I would appreciate it if someone helps me. Thank you.

Why is my computer screen stating "no signal"? I have a Gateway GT4010 media center desktop.?

It can be problem with graphic card [if what you say is right] try other graphic card. Does it works? Try to take out and place back graphic card - it may lost contact [maybe that's why computer 'freeze']. Do you hear a beep when your turn computer on. If not various problems are possible - CPU malfunction, RAM memory lost contact, malfunctioning etc.

What to do:
Check all connections on machine [exterior as well as interior].

[EDIT: if its on motherboard you can maybe try to insert other card to AGP slot. But if its on motherboard then it might be an old one and buying another one will not help. Becouse that new might not support your CPU.]

It means that the monitor is working but does not see the computer is turned on. The message means your monitor is working okay but is not getting a signal from your computer. The best thing to do is make sure your computer is powering on. Look on the back of your computer and see if you more then one video port on the back. They will look like the blue one or the white one. See if you have 2 of the blue or 2 of the white. If you do then move your monitor cord to other video port and see if it works or not.If that is not the problem then there is something wrong with your computer is not turning on or you have a problem that you are getting any video from your computer.

It means that no signal is being received by the monitor.Depending on what your source is, there are a couple of common issues:bad cable - All video standards are carried on cables which require multiple pins to be functioning properly on both ends for the signal to pass correctly. Try a different cable.bad port - The pins on the source or the monitor may be damaged. Along the same lines as a bad cable, a bad pin will not allow a proper signal transfer. Replacing a port is much more challenging if you don’t have the proper tools or training. I would suggest finding a repair shop if you notice any pins which look bent or out of place.source not sending signal - Depending on what you’re connecting to your monitor, the video output may not be always-on or auto-synced. For example, if you’re connecting a laptop, your laptop must be in either mirrored/duplicate or extended mode. These modes must often be toggled on manually.wrong input - If your monitor has multiple inputs, make sure that you identify which port you’ve connected to and that the monitor’s “Input” matches. If the monitor is receiving a signal but it’s not within the monitor’s capability of display, you’ll often see “Signal Not Supported”. Often, changing to a different resolution or refresh rate can help depending on the monitor’s EDID table.

It could be a number of issues.Do fans spin up when power button is pressed? Is the video cable plugged into the dedicated video card or integrated onto motherboard?etc.Nonetheless, Resources like this flowchart and this guide to have helped me in the past to fix similar issues (no boot).Hope this helps!

Why does my Emachine computer say no signal when I turn it on?

OFBG has the most likely answer - also check on the back of the main tower box, to see if there is an additional mains power switch, which is usually always left in the ON position - then the front panel button should work.

EDIT - OK no switch on the back - is your monitor powered by a separate mains lead or plug-top power supply? (if it is fed from the back of the tower box, then we are introuble and may have to take it back to the store.)
Assuming the monitor is powered separately...Do you have a spare mains lead for your PC tower? as it may be faulty - and just to be sure, please test the mains socket to see that it is working properly.

The VGA cable is either the blue or white cable that is connected from your graphics card to your monitor. No signal? It means that it’s not connected properly, or something has fried, or your not on the right mode.To fix this:Try putting in another graphics card. If it turns on, that means you fried your graphics card.Try disconnection and reconnecting your graphics card and try.Last one, try turning the monitor off, or id you do, click the AV button, or source button.Enjoy
