Nokia Lumia 625 App Question Need Help

Application download on nokia lumia 520?

Hey Jamie,

There are 160,000 apps available in Windows Phone Store - this certainly covers most of the essential apps, but there are still apps missing as you would find on Android or iPhone.

Facebook is available as a free download, but it is also built into the phone (as is the case with Twitter, Skype, Office). Top free apps for the Lumia 520 include WhatsApp, eBay, Kik Messenger, Viber, Shazam, VEVO, Temple Run.

Unfortunately Candy Crash is not available for Windows Phone.

Official Instagram, SnapChat and Vine are not available for Windows Phone. However, free third party apps are available, including Instance, SwapChat and Viner.

Hope this helps!

Nokia Lumia 635- get media content now message error?

I have a Nokia Lumia 635 phone with the 8.1 update 2 OS. I often get messages saying "get media content now" and i can t do anything with it. I will get several of Deez messages from the same person in a short period of time but they Say they are not sending images. I am not connected to wifi if this changes things.

How can I install and activate Skype on my Nokia Lumia 635?

There's a Skype tile icon on my phone. It was already there when I purchased it.

When I select it, it takes me to a blue screen that says "Welcome to Skype", and "get it now!". When I select "get it now!", I am taken to a black screen with the Terms of Use, etc. Underneath that are two options: "check install" and "share". The only way to proceed is to select one of these options. When I select "check install", I am taken to another screen with a long list of of apps. It says "These downloads have been waiting for more than a week".

The only way to proceed is to select a "retry all" box. When I select it, it shows "pending" on all the apps, then it goes back to the "retry all" screen.

I am stuck in this loop. Is there anyway to solve this stubborn problem, and get this damn Skype to install and work the way it's supposed to without having to jump though hoops? I am annoyed and fed up with this garbage. Why should my Skype installation be contingent upon installing a bunch of useless, unrelated apps??

FYI: In the "check install" screen I mentioned earlier, it says "waiting for Wi-Fi" under the Skype icon. I already activated Wi-Fi on my phone, but even if I didn't, shouldn't I still be able to install Skype over my cell phone's network (Cricket)?
