Halloween Party on a Budget! Help Please?

Hi Curly,

You must have some sort of $dollar store or .99cent store around no? Check that out for decorations and such.

Game - buy a bag of pumpkin seeds (Very cheep) put them in a clear jar and have everyone guess how many are in there. The winner or closest to it wins a little prize (Again, something from dollar or .99cent store or something small and cheap from your K-Mart). Oh, don't forget to count the seeds yourself first! LOL!

Do a scavenger hunt with a small prize. Give clever scary type clues as to where it is hidden. Like hide a tube of lip balm in a small bowl of red Jell-O and say the embalming tube is in the blood bowl. They would have to stick their hand in it to get the prize.

I know it my sound corny for a 13yo, but you could turn out all of the lights and play hide and seek....Really, it could be fun jumping out scaring each other. You'll get some screams and laughs. *Be careful if it's too dark though!

Snacks - Chips and salsa (Cheap) Call it chipped skull bowl.
Chips and guacamole. Call it Frankenstein's filling.
Chicken wings. Call them bat wings
Bowl of gummy worms
Cheese pizza's. Call it piece-a-skin.
Popcorn. Call them pus balls.
Red juice. Call it boo punch, witches brew, etc.

Put labels/cards in front of the snack with a fun name on it like my suggestions (It will be fun for you and your friend to think some up yourself).

Sorry if I'm being too corny, just trying to help out with some ideas and have fun. Take these ideas and suggestions from everyone and go from there.

Anyway, you girls have fun and be safe!

Should I wear a speedo to a halloween party?

Its not really a speedo but more of these European style boxer briefs that are a little longer than a speedo. I was dressing up as a member from the music group lmfao and thought their outfit for their sexy and i know it video was hilarious. I have everything, fro, sunglasses, chain that says sexy, and my makeshift speedo. Would it be weird to wear at a Halloween party? I'm 20 so its not like theres any kids haha.

What are some Halloween party essentials?

Hello, Ms. Irene, and thanks for the A2A!The best Halloween party I ever hosted was when I was in my junior year at college.Maybe it was the music, maybe it was the snacks I offered, and maybe it was the house full of people, most of whom knew each other, having a wonderful time, but something about that evening just clicked for everyone. We had an absolute blast, and I have yet to surpass it.Anyway, the key elements for a great Halloween party would have to be things that are themed to the day, so, lots of black and orange (especially in the foods) and everyone in proper costume.Of course, the choice of music would be important. Personally, I like music you can dance to, for a party (no Baroque contra-tenors or madrigals). And, one element that I think works well is to re-arrange the furniture. Put lots of seating around the perimeter of the room, with empty space in the middle (for dancing and such). I like to put the table from which snacks are served in another room, so as to encourage foot traffic… that’s so people have a natural opportunity to move around and mix together. If it’s a big party, post some signs directing people to the bathroom(s). Sooner or later, everyone needs to know where they are, and if there are signs, they don’t need to ask you where they are (again and again). One word of caution: watch out for anyone who has drunk too much. That could cause a real problem, and quickly (nothing spoils a joyful event like a party like someone who drunkenly provokes an argument, or vomits on your sofa). If you see this starting to happen, deal with it at once.I hope your party is even greater than mine; happy Halloween!

Highschool Halloween Party?

Food-
Make sure to get enough!! Definitely chips and maybe halloween candy.

Drink-
Soda, lemonade, punch, alcohol?? idk since you're a freshman you might not want to but from my experience halloween parties are a lottt more fun with it. Up to you though. If you do get alcohol get beer and liquor with some mixers.

Decoration-
Don't go overboard or too cheesy just get some cobwebs and put them around and small things. Like pumpkins and wall hangings and stuff.

Music-
Get some classic songs like Monster Mash or Thriller, but for most of the party just play normal music.

Invitations-
If you're bold do an open invite but just know it could get out of hand. If you wanna control the number of people invite individually and discourage plus ones. Don't make actual invitations, though, just tell people to come in person or text them.

As for a costume if you're a guy you could go as any of the superheros, a ref, a zombie, something along those lines. If you're a girl you could go as a vampire, a devil or angel, a superhero, stuff like that.

Make sure to lock any valuables in a room cause if you don't there's a good chance something will be broken. Depending on the people who come it might get out of hand, so be prepared for that, but it could also turn out to be pretty normal. Just don't worry about it and have fun! Halloween is the best tbh.

I'm throwing a Halloween party What tips do you have for throwing a great party?

Set the Mood - Decorate your yard and interior. Fake tombstones, zombie arms & heads coming out of your lawn, a large spider web & spider in your bushes, maybe even built your own Slenderman decoration standing 8–9 ft tall! If you have stairs or a hill, put dry ice or a fog machine at the top so the vapor rolls down the stairs/hill. Black lights work well too.Create a menu - Don’t just offer beer and chips. Make it creative beer, like bottles of Rogue’s Dead Guy Ale or Ballast Point’s Dead Ringer Oktoberfest Lager. Have black bean tortilla chips to dip into the salsa or cheese drip. Try coloring the cheese dip blood red. Make a punch for people to drink, and put the bucket it’s in inside of a larger bucket that has dry ice in it, so it’ll fog over. You MUST have candy for your guests to munch on too. Maybe make some cupcakes and ice them in orange, black, green, and purple.Sounds - Besides music inside, have a speaker outside playing creepy sounds. I’ve found that the ambient background music from games like Diablo 3 or WOW work pretty well for that.Costumes - Require costumes. I know that some people dislike wearing costumes, but those people suck. Maybe offer a prize for the best ones in certain categories. Work on your costume well in advance, so you don’t need to worry about it the day of the party. That’ll give you extra time to make sure everything else is ready. Keep in mind you want to be comfortable. If you’re going to be outside, consider that it might be 40–50 degrees and windy. Sucks to be in a Chippendale dancer outfit under those conditions. Also, beware of costumes with masks - you need to be able to drink w/o taking off the mask.
