Not An Iq Question But An Answer Of Honesty

What is an honest question and sincere answer?

Your question might be an honest question, and my answer, which is that I do not really know, might be a sincere answer. But how do we know that the question is honest and that the answer is sincere? And, above all, does knowing that really help anything, or add anything to either the question or the answer?A question usually is asked to find out something. Why it was asked, other than for the reason of finding something out, or, in other words, what the motive(s) behind asking is/are, is only known to the one asking the question. Pretty much the same applies to the sincerity of the answer. We do not know if the reply is there to actually answer the question, or if the answer is given for another reason, or even if that other reason might or might not be sincere,Do you understand where I am going? There is no way to determine the honesty of the question or the sincerity of the answer, unless you know who asked for what reason and who answered for what reason. And, perhaps, knowing all that would make some questions superfluous.

What website can I go to to get a free, honest IQ test?

www.funeducation.com has a very good IQ test, remeber though that with online IQ test your true IQ could be 10 point above or below what you score. But they do give you a good basic Idea.

Why do honest answers get fewer upvotes than politically correct answers do? Why do serious questions die more quickly than more frivolous questions do?

Thank you for the A2A; I hate the phrase “politically correct”. It’s a non-existent thing. What you may mean is that the conventional wisdom is not always accurate, yet why do answers that are the conventional wisdom get more upvotes than those that are not the conventional wisdom. If someone believes something and says it, they’re being honest. That doesn’t mean they’re right - for that matter are non-PC answers honest or correct themselves. Sorry to be pissy about it, but the question sure is loaded. So let us rephrase: The conventional wisdom is not always accurate, yet why do answers that are the conventional wisdom get more upvotes than those that are not the conventional wisdom? The answer being that for some time now, upvotes are like “likes” on facebook (and downvotes dislikes). The intent originally was an upvote meant “a relevant answer that is decently written which adds to the discussion at hand”. Or something like that. A downvote (could be) “an irrelevant answer that is badly written which detracts or adds nothing to the discussion at hand”.However, it is not that. It’s I agree or I disagree. Thus, “answers that conform with the conventional wisdom” get upvotes, those that don’t, don’t. Please do note that as this is the internet, there is some neo-hipness going on. A received point of view is a received point of view no matter what it is - and so there’s demographically-influenced up-and-downvoting.I don’t have much patience with that stuff… of course I too am a product of my own life story, but I’d like to think that my points of view come from actually considering my points of view and are immune to fashion. I don’t really find the “here is the really obvious answer that a 12 year old knows” repeated 20 times to be very interesting on Quora. I want the ones where somebody gives me something new to think about. That’s how I upvote.

How honest should you be in a job interview?

I am going in for a 3rd interview with a company for a part time job. The first interview consisted mostly of some sort of IQ test. If the applicant passes (which I did) they come in to meet with the department head. Did that yesterday. Talked to her for abt an hour. Got a really good feeling about it. Tomorrow, I go in for a "personality test". I asked my husband about those (he works in the personnel dept for the state) and he said that one of the questions asks if you (the applicant) would steal a loaf of bread if your children were starving. He went on to say that the employers are looking for people who say "no" to that question because it shows that you are willing to be a "yes person" despite your inner or true feelings and convictions. Of course, I would steal a loaf of bread if my kids were starving. What kind of mother would I be if I didn't? My question is this. Should I answer these types of questions according to what I truly believe or should I answer them in accordance to what the company wants to see? I have never been one to flip off my integrity or beliefs and I do believe that I would be a hypocrite for lying to get a job. I don't think I could live with myself if I answered "no" to the stealing question. Thoughts?
