Not Sure If Anyone Can Help With The Problems Im Having With My Eyes

My cat is letharic, and is having problems keeping his eyes open.?

Mona,

Your cat may be suffering from heatstroke from the symptoms you describe. Some cats are more sensitive to the heat than others, but that is a very high temperature. Long haired cats and older cats are quite sensitive to high temperatures.

Whether it is heat stroke or possible poisoning, your cat needs immediate veterinary attention. Call your vet and describe the symptoms and get him in right away. Better to be safe than sorry.

Did you take his temperature? The only way to know if he has a temp is to take it. I just had a cat who was running close to 105 who's ears were nice and cool as was his nose. He did not seem right to me so I took his temperature and he was rushed to my vet.

Here is a really good article about heat stroke. Hope your kitty is ok and that he recovers from whatever is wrong.

Im 14 and suffering from dry eyes please please any help ....?

retina detachments are a medical emergency , symptoms would be when you see a curtain in your field of vision. If this occurs you must seek medical attention fast. Its not common though, go to healthline.com and look up additional information. Colorado is extremely dry and I recently was having severe dry eyes. It felt like I had a hair in my eye and I was very sensitive to light. I spent over $80. in every brand and type of eye drops. The final and last attempt to have eye relief I tried these eye vitamins that I got at vitamin cottage called moistur-eyes. The are around 10.oo a bottle but will last for about 3-4 mos. They really work, they have fish oils and other vitamins in them. Trust me on these vitamins you will notice a difference in 3 days and make sure they are ok with your dr. I didnt learn about these vitamins from a dr. and I went to a eye specialist. I learned about these vitamins from a pharmacist.

Why do I have problems looking at people straight in the eyes?

no one can accurately gauge the reasons from a single line on a website. There are a million reasons to be uncomfortable with this. It could range from a cultural issue where eye contact is considered rude, abuse problems, insecurity, social anxiety, poor self esteem, sensory issues, emotional detachment, boredom, ASD or other related conditions or any number of things really. Ive written about this before in the Aspergers forum so I'll paste it here whether or not its relevant to you I am not sure. You don't have to be autistic to have autistic traits though so keep that in mind."For me personally I can either make eye contact or listen to every word you say. I cannot do both, no matter which I choose the other one suffers. You may think its better for me to look at you - this may make you feel more important or that I am giving you the respect and attention your words deserve but in reality the opposite is true. Making eye contact is not a natural thing for me. Even with my wife of 10 years eye contact is sporadic at times. When forced to do it or in a situation where it absolutely must be given like say a job interview etc. My mind works overtime, the little timer in my head is ticking over - counting the seconds between glances scanning your face incessantly for any sign or clue that Im doing the whole interaction right or worse wrong!  Making sure Im not staring. Trying not to look too rhythmical with my eye contact so that it looks natural and not timed like a lawn sprinkler. Then of course there's the added anxiety that goes with that. The cost for this unfortunately is that my ears stop working as the noise in my head takes over. When you don't expect me to look at you we can have real conversations with original, creative and intelligent input from me where my mind is free to go where it pleases. Unfortunately you cant have both, when I know eye contact will be required I often keep a notepad and pen or write notes on my phone/iPad for later as my short term memory absolutely disappears in this situation too."

Is there any way to stop eyesight from getting progressively worse?

You need to wear contact lenses rather than glasses. If your eyes have to strain across the gap between them and your glasses, it weakens hem. Contact lenses sit on the eye itself, eliminating the problem. It may not stop the deterioration of eyesight completely, but the rate of progression will be significantly slowed.
My optician recommended that I use contact lenses for that reason, as I was having the same problem as you, and it has made a difference.
If it stops for a decent length of time (I think two years is the required amount) you can have laser surgery and eliminate the problem altogether!

Christians, Will God help with my relationship problems?

I'm having relationship problems. I'm not sure if I want to stay with my boyfriend anymore or move on. Everytime we break up I ask God if we are meant to be, bring us back together. He always does. I love my boyfriend but not as much as I used to and this is pretty much bringing a dark cloud over my life. I don't know whether to stay or go, because I miss him when he's gone. I have asked God to help and were still together, but my feelings haven't changed so I'm still miserable. I've asked God to do whats best for me and him, will he help? I've asked for help loads of times in the last 3 months and so far nothing, I'm miserable. God has always helped me before. Should I wait for God to help, or should I just leave and hope it was the right choice, even though it will hurt.

If you don't believe, don't answer.

Red eyes and Sticky eyelids... HELP!!!?

Pinkeye (also called conjunctivitis) is redness and swelling of the conjunctiva, the mucous membrane that lines the eyelid and eye surface. The lining of the eye is usually clear. If irritation or infection occurs, the lining becomes red and swollen. See illustrations of a normal eye and one with conjunctivitis.

Pinkeye is very common. It usually is not serious and goes away in 7 to 10 days without medical treatment.

Common symptoms of pinkeye are:

Eye redness (hyperemia).
Swollen, red eyelids.
More tearing than usual.
Feeling as if something is in the eye (foreign-body sensation or keratoconjunctivitis).
An itching or burning feeling.
Mild sensitivity to light (photophobia).
Drainage from the eye.
Most cases of pinkeye are caused by:

Infections caused by viruses or bacteria.
Dry eyes from lack of tears or exposure to wind and sun.
Chemicals, fumes, or smoke (chemical conjunctivitis).
Allergies.
Viral and bacterial pinkeye are contagious and spread very easily. Since most pinkeye is caused by viruses for which there is usually no medical treatment, preventing its spread is important. Poor hand-washing is the main cause of the spread of pinkeye. Sharing an object, such as a washcloth or towel, with a person who has pinkeye can spread the infection. For tips on how to prevent the spread of pinkeye, see the Prevention section of this topic.

People with infectious pinkeye should not attend school or go to work until symptoms improve.
