Not Sure If I Need Both Apps

Do I need both Google and Chrome on my Android? If not, which should I uninstall?

Well firstly it is not easy to uninstall these apps as they are system apps and unless you root your device, it is not possible to delete either one.Google and chrome are made for different purposes.Google app is basically a quick search tool and you can open webpages in google app and it it quick and easy to use. Moreover google app also give you suggestions on different articles etc.Chrome is made to do browsing powerfully. Both these apps work on chrome engine so both will open websites in the same time. You can open many pages in chrome while google app is for quickly searching a thing reading about it and then closing the page.So in short both are part of Android system and it is hard to uninstall them. Try using both for their respective purposes. Both are great to use!Peace!

I have Google and Chrome do I need both?

I think you are referring to Google search app on your phone and Chrome. The thing with Google is that they provide you with a frictionless experience. It is so smooth that when it’s services work in conjunction that anyone can mistake them as being the same. Google has a similar theme going on in all of it’s app, it’s like their signature design.Basically what I’m trying to get at is that the Google search app has the search for link function, it can show you images, news and has a few other functions like Google voice built which is like a watered down version of Google Assistant , calculators, an online dictionary and etc. However when you click a link, the Google Search app will transfer you to the website’s app if it’s installed or the default browser, which in your case is probably chrome. Chrome is what you’re browsing the websites on, by now you have left the Google search app. Chrome too has a watered down version of the Google search like any other browser, but it has fewer features than the Assistant app, like it does not have Google Feed and recent searches, saving searches, delayed searches (looking for connectivity) and etc. So both are different apps. The bottom line is that you need both..

Do i need to register as self employed before releasing android app?

admob asks me to fill in the following details: business name (which I don't have), local tax id (Your local tax ID is the number the tax authority in your country uses to identify tax payers. For example, in the EU, VAT number is a tax ID. AdMob uses industry standard technology to protect the tax information that you send us.).
so it looks like they expect me to be a registered business and not a person with a hobbie..

still confused.

Okay I have the Amazon Fire stick with the Kodi app. I have two of them one for upstairs one for downstairs.?

I woke up this morning and noticed that the remote for the fire stick for the downstairs television was acting up; it was skipping through apps and just changing apps meaning scrolling by itself without me even pushing the remote. Now, the remote that I am using is controlling both firesticks in our house and the one firestick doesn t even work. Can somebody please tell me what could possibly be going wrong because I ve tried everything like putting new batteries in and nothing too seems to be working! Should I learn Java or Kotlin in order to develop Android apps?

So, the question is Java Vs. Kotlin. For Android development, you should learn both Java and Kotlin. But, before arriving to the conclusion, we need to know the why?Kotlin has many features and tools that Java does lacks. But to learn Kotlin you need to learn Java. As Kotlin has been derived from Java. Some of you will think that “No it is not necessary to learn Java to learn Kotlin” but when you use Kotlin to develop apps in android studio you will have to use Java libraries and ultimately you have to use the knowledge of Java to write the code on kotlin. There are many advantages of using Kotlin over Java:Kotlin is more concise than Java. Kotlin here gets more points compared to Java. While, writing Java code we have to write lots of boiler-plate (boiler plate is a part of code that has to be included, means it is a necessary to write that code.for e.g: public static void main(String [] args){} ) code which consumes space and time. Hence, Kotlin helps the developer here. Kotlin does not requires boiler plate code which makes it a clear, expressive, powerful and concise programming language. Below is an example of the “Hello World” program!Above is an example of Kotlin and Java code. As Kotlin looks more concise and clear.2. Now, many of you must be thinking that python is also an alternative if we do not want to write boilerplate code. We like using Java because it runs on JVM (Java Virtual Machine) which produces the byte code. But, my point is that JVM makes the language platform independent. Similarly, Kotlin also runs on JVM and is platform independent.3. Kotlin would be having more safety features than Java in the future hence, Kotlin is a better programming language.4. Kotlin is inter-operable with the existing Android programming languages and runtimes which means you can call into the Java language from Kotlin and Kotlin language from Java.5. Last, but not the least. Android Studio is built upon the IntelliJ IDEA and it is built by Jet Brains and the same company built the programming language Kotlin so it is easy for the developers to make features and tools.Hence, in my opinion Kotlin is more preferred language as time changes so does the technology. Kotlin is a better programming language for Android development. So if you know Java then you can easily learn Kotlin.Happy to help!—Edit—Thanks Ritwik M for suggestions in the answers. And to all of those who upvoted my answer.

Does an app need both Terms of Use and Privacy Policy?

As others have mentioned, the types of policies you need will depend on what your app does and, perhaps, what it doesn’t do. I think it is really important for you to seek the advice of a legal professional to help you determine what legal disclosures are necessary for your app; a lawyer would be able to give you specific guidance tailored for your app.I strongly suggest that you stay away from using language from policies found on the Internet because they are generic and there is no way to verify that they are suitable for your app. You don’t want to be in a situation where you relied on boilerplate language from a terms of use generator or a private policy generator and discover later down the road that the policies you’re using aren’t legally protecting you & your business. Noncompliance could lead to fines, litigation and other costly headaches that are avoidable if you go ahead and spend money on an attorney from the very beginning. My company LawTrades provides startups and small businesses with a cost-effective platform to secure legal services for all of their business needs. Our attorneys are pre-vetted, highly-trained and have solid legal experience, especially with tech startups. We offer a free consultation and no-obligation price quotes. Could anyone recommend a good app for cross-country texting?

Hi guys!
I'm in a long distance relationship right now. My girlfriend and I are both growing rather tired of this whole can't-comminicate-unless-both-have-compu... and we both have android smartphones and, well, there are apps for that, aren't there?
What we're looking for is something that would allow us to text each other using the internet rather than costing a small fortune. We just want not to need to log into skype everytime we have something to say - does anyone have any recommendations?
