I can tell you a lot of opportunities of academics, research and foreign education and job after your BPharm. However, if your question is regarding the job opportunities and earning immediately after BPharm, that too in India itself, here are some imp points..First of all, do not expect or compare your salary with your fellow engineering and IT friends!in case of job there are two options: Govt job and Private jobsto get into a govt job is a good option (here, you have to give the entrance exam for that particular govt post)if private, try to go for good industries. However, starting your career by working in a descent company and then promoting yourself to a better one is also a good option as you may not get a very good company immediately after your Bachelors.Starting your own medical shop is a good option. But, please look for a good spot! A pharmacy store with a huge competition is pointless!and this is the risky but fruitful one! you can think of starting your own pharmaceutical plant. start it at a small scale and then increase your market. I know few people who have their own mfg unit of general drugs like anti pyretics, analgesics, drugs for cough and cold, etc. you can capture the local market by this way!Speaking in a nutshell,one can not expect a huge hyping amount, salary or a profit immediately at the start of any venture in pharmacy, but determination, hard work and obviously smart work and judicious choices in ur profession will give you achieve great results ahead!As far as further education is concerned, its been already discussed in another answer.
