Now That Mexico Has Basically Annexed California Do Leftists Feel No Shame Particularly White

Is the United States ashamed of the fact that their country was built on genocide and the backs of slaves?

No. Most modern countries are built on the bones of the exploited, exterminated, the conquered and the oppressed. A stunning 100% of all nations/cultures/peoples have a long and vile history with LITERALLY fucking women over, treating them like shit and otherwise denying them their innate humanity. While I do think it’s appalling what the US has done (still does) to some 10% of its human population (the African diaspora brought here as slaves), I’m even more disgusted by what all nations (my own included) have done to women. But even leaving out that fact, we cannot escape the reality that EVERY nation exists because it exterminated those that lived there before. There’s a reason why right after homo sapiens arrived anywhere, the “native” other human populations (which says nothing about the hundreds of other animal populations) all went extinct. France, Belgium, Italy, the UK, Germany and the Ottomans utterly exploited Africa. Chinese people broke their daughters’ feet and bound them in silk, making them hobble. Indians —possibly one of the most exploited people— have a less than stellar record on Dalit rights. Russia invaded and annihilated cultures across Asia. Mongolia, well, we know what they did. Rome was pretty nasty in its time. Japan and Germany in the middle of the 20th Century waged the most industrialized war of extermination in human history. Australians, Canadians and US Americans all wiped out natives in their native land and didn’t cease harming them until practically this morning. So wherever you are, you live because your ancestors won by annihilating weaker people and squeezing out a shit-ton of babies. You’re here, because your ancestors were more aggressive and fecund. That’s it. No nation is innocent. I refuse to wander the halls crying about the sins people committed generations before me.

What do people in other countries think about Donald Trump?

CanadaWe’re concerned for our poor neighbours to the south, while simultaneously amazed at this unbelievable spectacle:UpdateI was astounded and dismayed, but not really surprised, when I read the Calgary Sun (a right-wing and very conservative news daily). They had published a poll taken of their readers to find out which presidential candidate people supported. The poll showed 48% support for Trump, 27% support for Hillary and 25% undecided. These sad numbers should not be surprising because this is an oil-producing province and Trump, a climate change denier, said that he would give his blessing to a huge pipeline project to send Alberta oil (most of it from our Athabasca “tar-sands”, a very polluting and expensive source) to the US Gulf Coast.A presidential endorsement of this “Keystone XL Pipeline” (Barack Obama already said, “No”) is something that Alberta oil barons would dearly love to see and so Trump is their man; environment and world peace be damned I suppose, as long as the oil companies keep making money. :^(Trump’s approval rating will be much lower and Hillary’s much higher in more liberal-minded parts of Canada, such as British Columbia and Ontario (maybe in Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia too). Saskatchewan and Manitoba, prairie-land in the middle of Canada, are a mystery to me.
