Numbness In My Hands Every Morning What Is Wrong With Me

My Hands/Fingers are numb every morning WHY?

This is a common problem for a lot of teenagers. I've been like that since I was 12 (and I am 19 now). My feet are freezing even as I type this. The best thing you can do to get better circulation is to exercise more often. Cardiovascular exercise will greatly increase blood flow in your body and help you maintain warmth throughout the day. I don't think this is anything you should worry about. If the problems get so severe to the point where you can't feel your feet at all even after moving around for a while then you should check with your doctor. It could also be the position in which you are sleeping. Do you sleep on your side? Your legs resting on one another could be cutting down blood flow and causing you to have cold feet in the morning which could easily lead to you having other parts of your body being cold as well.

My hands are numb every morning when I wake up?

Okay, so I have sleeping problems. I go to sleep at 10-11pm every night and I wake up every morning at midnight (12), 2am, 4am, and either 5 or 6 am. I wake up at those times every morning. I have had this problem of not being able to stay asleep ever since I was about 6 years old. I'm not sure what is wrong with me though.

Also, whenever I wake up at around 5-6 am every morning, my hand is ALWAYS asleep and it really hurts to try and wake it back up again because it won't wake up for around 10-20 minutes. Please help me.

What is wrong with me, and how can I fix it?

Every morning I wake up both my hands are always numb, what does that mean?

You have tight muscles in your back that get pressure on the nerves going to your hands because of how you lay. when you are up the pressure changes so it isn't on the nerves so the numbness leaves. To get rid of that problem you have to free up the muscles in your back so they aren't putting pressure on the nerves and here's how to do that:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

What is wrong? i have pain(numbness) in my hands when i wake up in the morning.?

Your question is'nt clear.. Is it actually pain or numbness..??!!
Both are entirely different..
Carpel tunnel syndrome(CTS) cannot be entirely ruled out.. But CTS usually presents in nights and is commonly seen in middle aged women... And its usually pain, but rarely numbness..
It can be rather an abnormal posture of sleep.. Try sleeping straight fully relaxed, might help u..
And regarding stroke, mind u it never or rarely might present with hand numbness..!! That too everyday, u r gettin pain essentially rules out stroke..

Is it something wrong if my hand is numb when i wake every morning?

You should check with your obgyn and tell him what you've been experiencing. It's bad circulation and your probably pressing on a nerve while your sleeping. This problem will eventually go away I had this problem also with all my four pregnancy's. Your body is going through many changes you need to rest and eat healthy. As long as your doctor tells you everything is fine you shouldn't worry. Ask your doctor which exercise he recommends and do them this will keep your blood pumping and flowing. Try to stay away from salty foods and drink lots of water take your vita. everyday. Find a good comfortable position with lots of pillows to support you. try not to lean or sleep pressing on your arms. I remember a nurse saying sleeping on your left side gets all the blood flowing it's recommended with patience who have high blood pressure and if it works for them it should work for us too.
Your doctor is the one who should be able to give you the best advice always check with him before making any changes or if you have any questions.
Good luck !

Why do I have a numbness and pain in my hand when I sleep?

I have been waking up with my index, middle and ring fingers on my left hand will be somewhat painful and numb. The feeling goes away after I move them. It seemed like my wrist was hurting too. That went away a few days ago and this morning I woke up with the three same fingers in my right hand numb and hurting. This time it was not the left it was the right. What is strange is that I was sleeping on my left side which means I was not sleeping on top of my hand, therefore it would not have gotten that way from weight being applied to it. I do not sleep on my hands at all. I sleep on my side or my back. But after my left hand started hurting at night I stopped sleeping on that side as much as possible. The symptoms went away and I returned to that side last night only. So why did my right hand hurt like that? The feeling is not there int eh daytime at all. It is only when I ahve gone to sleep that it happens. What does that mean?

More details and probably some diagnostic testing may be required for a definite diagnosis. Most common causes:1. Carpal tunnel almost always will cause numbness or pins and needles sensation waking you up from sleep or in the morning upon arising. Usually people with this condition will shake or move their hands for relief. Other compression neuropathies, such as ulnar neuropathy or radial nerve palsy are less common and usually not bilateral.2. Medications such as Topamax and some chemotherapeutic agents can cause numbness and tingling in the extremities. Exposure to toxins, vitamin deficiencies and diseases such as diabetes, kidney disease or demyelinating, inflammatory neuropathy can also cause numbness and tingling. Usually medications, toxins or systemic disease result in more generalized symptoms.3. Cervical (neck issue) - rare for a radiculopathy or 'pinched nerve' in the neck to be on both sides simultaneously. Other conditions included cervical myelopathy (compression of the cord usually due to arthritis or disk), cervical syrinx with or without Chiari malformation, or multiple sclerosis with transverse myelitis (inflammation) of the cervical spinal cord.4. Brain disorders uncommonly would cause bilateral involvement of just the hands. MS, stroke and tumors would be the most frequent etiology.Carpal tunnel is the most common cause of bilateral symptoms just involving the hands, especially in young or middle-aged people who use their hands a lot (typists, data entry, factory workers, etc.)Most disease processes affecting the brain or cervical spine would commonly also cause symptoms in the legs and feet and are typically unilateral.
