Obama And Bush Both Love Oil Wealth. Why Did Bush Feel The Need For Foreign Oil And Obama Favor

If Obama did a good job as President, why did Hillary lose?

What if Obama wasn’t such a good president as many seem to assert?Let me point out that when he was elected, Obama was supposed to be the opposite of George W. Bush.Instead, we saw a President that:Increased inequality and in many cases, signed legislation that increased inequality.Had a cabinet selected by Citigroup.Refused to persecute Wall Street executives for the 2008 Crisis.Did not reinstate Glass-Steagall nor pass anything more than Dodd-Frank, which overlooked too many issues.Chose to write a debilitating healthcare system that even today bitterly divides Americans nicknamed Obamacare, instead of trying to copy say, the Canadian healthcare system or at least trying to implement a serious public option.Largely continued the wars of Bush and started new ones, in Libya for example, while “surging” in Afghanistan.Did not address the fundamental problem of Washington, which is political corruption.Had a pro-austerity budget and made no attempts after the first partial stimulus.Waged a war on whistleblowers that was unprecedented.Did not mobilize his base in an attempt to address the very issues that he ran to fix. He could have used his base to try to overcome an obstructionist GOP. There was a ton of goodwill after his election. He chose to throw it away.I don’t think that Obama will be well regarded. IN fact, I suspect that he will be compared to James Buchanan, who was facing a profound crisis and made a bad situation worse. There’s a reason why Bernie Sanders gained so much popularity. It was because Obama had not delivered the Change that we so pushed in 2008. There’s a reason why Clinton’s attempt to say that she was Obama’s third term failed to generate excitement.Combine that with Clinton’s poor campaigning skills and the Democratic National Committee’s unethical sabotage of Bernie Sanders, then you have Trump.

McCain over Obama? Why?

i live in Australia and i can't vote but i would like to say vote for Obama, please
John McCain's "EXPERIENCE" is useless it means nothing, the only people who have experience, is the people who have been president before
when it comes to fixing the economy who will do a better job someone who will completely freeze spending or someone who will eliminate what isn't effective and increase spending in area that need it to push America on the right track not put on the breaks.

now people reading this will probably think i am an extreme left wing liberal that is incorrect i am actually involved in the conservative party in Australia and i can tell you we don't have extreme fundamentalists like Sarah Palin, no to abortion even in the case of incest or/or rape, removal of the teaching of sex education, there is plenty more (THAT IS EXTREME)

one last point, i could make plenty more but i hope some people will take into account what i am saying, when i comes to fighting terrorism who will do a better job-most people would say McCain but when the issue or terrorism is looked at holistically we can see that the Republicans have done nothing but fund terrorism both directly during the cold war to fight of the Russians and indirectly (more recently) by continuing to give millions of dollars to unstable countries (Iran for one) becacuse America is so bloodthirsty for Oil-Obama can change this (ALSO AMERICAS current unwillingness to fund the real war on terror Afghanistan
wake up America
-Health care system need reform
-war in Iraq needs to end (force the iraqi govt to do something)
-war in afganistan need to be won and with the current resources it is unlikely more men and women will die
-end the dependence on foreign oil and stop funding terrorism
-more regulated financial markets

the last one the ENTIRE WORLD IS FEELING
put in OBAMA as president
(also its not unpatriotic to want a war to end no one disputes what those men and women are doing over there they are doing a great job) but it is a job they shouldnt be doing
republicans=lies
republicans=end of the world (ITS HAPPENING NOW WITH THE GLOBAL MARKETS)

To all of you who say we should have left Saddam alone, why do Iraqis support democracy so much?

Fear of the US government.

They don' support it.

Why are liberals here glad that American jobs are moving overseas?

Diamond Offshore announced Friday that its Ocean Endeavor drilling rig will leave the Gulf of Mexico and move to Egyptian waters immediately — making it the first to abandon the United States in the wake of the BP oil spill and a ban on deep-water drilling.

And the Ocean Endeavor’s exodus probably won’t be the last, according to oil industry officials and Gulf Coast leaders who warn that other companies eager to find work for the now-idled rigs are considering moving them outside the U.S.

Devon Energy Corp. had been leasing the Endeavor to drill in the same region of the Gulf as BP’s leaking Macondo well, which has been gushing crude since a lethal blowout April 20.

But Diamond announced Friday it will lease the rig through June 30, 2011, to Cairo-based Burullus Gas Co., which plans to send the Endeavor to Egyptian waters immediately.

Devon is one of three companies that has cited the deep-water drilling ban in trying to ease out of contracts to lease Diamond rigs. Diamond, a drilling company, said it expects to make about $100 million from the deal, including a $31 million early termination fee it recovered from Devon.
