Obama Does Not Know How Treaties Work

Why would the NRA give Obama an 'F' rating if Obama was really pro gun as democrats want you to believe?

Because he well deserves it! Unlike the liberals that only believe the lie the liberal gun control bigots pass on to them, the NRA knows the facts. Liberals are no interested in facts they would rather believe their liberal gun control bigots than look at the truth. Fact is that this muslim Hussein 0bama vote on every gun control bill that came to the floor while he was in congress. Here is the way the liberal gun control bigots look at things and one of the very few things they say that is not a lie.

Our main agenda is to have ALL guns banned. We must use whatever means possible. It doesn't matter if you have to distort facts or even lie. Our task of creating a socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed. -Sarah Brady

The sale of guns must stop. Halfway measures are not enough. -Sarah Brady

"Waiting periods are only a step. Registration is only a step. The prohibition of private firearms is the goal." -Janet Reno

@ Joey Jo jo. Now that is a typical liberal response, no facts, no proof, no argument, just Blah, blah, blah...... It is almost scary the intelligent it took to make such a comment, as this liberal did, but after all this is typical of the extent of the liberal mind.

Why does the Obama administration assume the U.S. senate would not ratify an agreement made at the Paris Climate Change Conference?

Although "past performance does not guarantee future results," the Senate is infamous for not approving treaties - including environmental ones - for ratification. (It doesn't actually ratify them, but the President needs the consent of 2/3 of the Senate before a treaty can be ratified.)The State Department maintains a nice list of Treaties Pending in the Senate (updated as of April 27, 2015). The oldest is a a treaty under the International Labor Organization on the right of workers to organize... which has been waiting for approval since 1949.Among the environment-related treaties the Senate hasn't approved are:1982 Convention on the Law of the Sea (and 1994 implementation agreement)1993 Convention on Biological Diversity1996 Protocol to the Convention on the Prevention of Marine Pollution1998 Rotterdam Convention (international trade of HAZMAT and pesticides)2001 Stockholm Convention (persistent organic pollutants)2001 International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture2001 Agreement on the Conservation of Albatrosses and PetrelsIn more recent years, there have been bilateral agreements with a number of countries (most famously Switzerland) to cut down on tax evasion, and conversely, on double taxation. Some of those treaties have been waiting for approval for a few years.Perhaps most tellingly, the 1969 Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties has been waiting for approval since 1971.  Yes, for more than 40 years, the Senate hasn't been able to get around to approving a treaty on how treaties work. When the Minamata Convention on Mercury was adopted in 2013, the Obama administration found an end-run around the Senate: US laws dealing with mercury were already the strictest in the world, so throughout all the intergovernmental negotiations leading up to the treaty, American negotiators made sure that everything called for in the wording of the treaty aligned perfectly with existing US law. The government was sequestered right around the time of the conference at which the treaty opened for signatures, so high-level American officials didn't attend, but several months later, the announcement came out that the US had become the first country to ratify it. Since I follow these things, and was at that conference, I was quite shocked, but colleagues explained that requiring Legislative-branch approval of something equivalent to laws already passed by the Legislative branch would be quite silly.

What liberties has Obama taken away?

Apparently, the ability to be a preferred investor and have the assurance that you will be paid back first, if the company you are investing in goes bankrupt...he convenient ignored those laws and gave money to the Unions first.

If his healthcare bill passes, the liberty of choosing to buy healthcare from whomever I want, or to buy NONE at all, therefore saving my money for something I believe is more important for me.

This is pointless, you knew about these, and don't care because it does not affect you.
That is what I'd expect from an emotion filled, non-thinking liberal.

Peace treaty between Israel and Palestine ??? END of times ??

The tribulation was never 7 years, it was 42 months... and it already occurred because Scripture told the direct audience that it was "at hand, soon, near, at the door, about to come." There is no way those time texts can mean 2 millennia... it's absolute nonsense to think so.

John wrote Revelation during it... read Rev. 1:9. He was exiled to Patmos by the 'beast,' Caesar Nero, who persecuted the early church from Nov 64 till his suicide in June 68. (42 months). His name renders 666 using the Hebrew alphanumeric system. (NRWN QSR).

Traditional teachings are changing as more and more people study Scripture, learn principles of interpretation (Biblical Hermeneutics) and ask the right questions.

The earth endures forever (Eccl 1:4) but the "heavens & earth of old" was scheduled to end in the 1st Century. This meant the Old Covenant system of righteousness. History tells us it did on the 9th of Av, AD 70.

Jesus is here... living within us, where His Kingdom is said to reside (Luke 17:21). He now tabernacles with mankind instead of in a Jewish Temple (Rev 21:3).

Does the US Congress have any say in whether the US signs the Paris Climate Accord?

Nope! It was an “agreement” signed by President Obama. President Trump has simply said, “We’re outta here!”Congress gets to ratify a treaty for the President to sign. There was no treaty, so no involvement from Congress. Read the US Constitution, ARTICLE III, SECTION 1:The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.<>He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur….Reference: https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/CD...

What did Barack Obama do right?

The stimulus, in fact every measure to stimulate the economy in his first term. He reappointed Ben Bernake, and later chose wisely Janet Yellen. He was very fortunate in choosing most of his cabinet secretaries. The New Start treaty was good. The TPP was good, it would've ensured that even after it looses in size to China, the American economy would remain the Central one, with dollar as the world reserve currency.Even the Obamacare was right with the benefit of hindsight. The Treaty with Iran, good deal. (Those who call it a bad deal simply don't have a clue how diplomacy works.)

Does the President have a computer at his desk in the Oval Office?

Yes, sort of.The president gets most of his work done in the Treaty Room, or in his study, not the Oval Office. The president conducts briefings and holds staff meetings in the Oval Office, but it's used primarily as a ceremonial space. Obama does much of his day-to-day work—such as editing speeches and reviewing papers—in the President's Study, located off the Oval Office, and in the Treaty Room, on the second floor of the White House. The Treaty Room has a computerThe desk in Obama's Treaty Room, unlike the Resolute desk in the Oval Office, is piled high with paperwork. The room also contains a computer, a printer, and a television. Despite these office amenities, it's unlikely that Obama uses a computer regularly in the White House. As the Explainer noted last year, previous presidents, including Bush and Clinton, went without computers and e-mail in order to avoid the Presidential Records Acts of 1978, which requires commanders-in-chief to archive their correspondence and make it public. In the past, if a President needed to use a computer to get sports scores or get on the Internet, they would usually resort to a nearby staffer's computer. That being said, Obama does have a computer, but it isn't a stodgy old beige PC. Obama has been seen on countless occasions with an iPad. And based on the picture below, yes, the President has a computer at his desk in the Oval Office.Obama iPad Spotted in Oval OfficePresident Obama In The Oval Office Getting Briefed On An iPad 2 [Image]Sources: Does Obama actually work in the Oval Office?Obama iPad Spotted in Oval Office
