When President Obama says the science of global warming is undeniable, what specific authority is he referring to?
To say that science is undeniable is to misunderstand the nature of science. Even to say that something, which is scientific, is supported with evidence, is questionable, as it may be impossible to support a scientific theory with evidence, if we are to believe Hume and Popper. In any case, Obama is probably referring to the notion of the scientific consensus on climate change. It's what Nye references all the time as well. It's the idea that, if most scientists agree that climate change is occurring due to human interactions, then the claim must be undeniably true, as if consensus among scientists means all that much.Expertise and ConsensusUnfortunately, because of the nature of expertise, consensus among them means nothing at all. An expert is assumed to have authoritative and comprehensive knowledge on the topic, and so any combined group of experts would have just as much knowledge as a single expert. The more experiments we have, and the more data we have, saying the same thing, the more we can say that we are certain that the data is correct. Of course, that just removes changes of error. If we are to allow for inductive processes in science, then we can say that there is scientific evidence supporting the claim. If Obama was actually referring to this, it would be a lot better. Of course, I highly doubt Obama has much knowledge on the topic, and is just deferring to that consensus.

Al Gore, the nobel prize winning global warming crusader owns Generation Investment Management LLP (GIM) a London-based investment management firm. GIM owns a 10 percent stake in the Chicago Climate Exchange. The Chicago Climate Exchange owns half of the European Climate Exchange. Thus if the United States and Europe adopt a "cap and trade" carbon credit trading scheme Al Gore could potentially rake in billions of dollars and Gore, Obama, et al. will live happily ever after.

Everything. No, seriously. In my nearly 50 years on this planet, I have learned that absolutely every word out of the mouth of a liberal is a lie. No exceptions. Liberals are incapable of speaking unless they're lying. If a liberal ever tells the truth, he swells up and stops breathing. The truth is like a bee sting to a liberal, and the liberal is allergic to bee stings. If a liberal ever inadvertently says something that is true, he must be rushed to the hospital immediately and put on life support. You can always tell if a liberal is lying. What do we do about conspiratorialist global warming deniers?
The internet does allow people who would otherwise be isolated individuals, to group together and be among their own kind. That's the reason I believe there is an atheist movement gaining strength in society all over the world. But in that case, reality is the fringe and the delusion of religion is predominant, at least in America. I think the side with the truth on it, tends to win out in the long run. The problem here is that the side that produces all the delusions is the side with the money, and they have bought an entire political party. Most of the world sees the American right as a circus side show, so score one for reality, but that doesn't help those who live in America, and does even less for those who like America and want to see it succeed. The entire republican party has gone done lost their minds. They are willfully ignorant, hear no evil see no evil, only "evil" is actually truth, which makes sense because the bible tells us that truth is evil, you know, the forbidden fruit malarkey. So the only solution I can think of is to pour money into it, and buy some advertising and some legislators in Washington, like the other side does. But if you have the money to pour into it you probably take the side that protects your interests as a rich person. I think America is just broken, and there's no way we will be able to take a leading roll in fighting AGW. Maybe if some other countries go first, the truth will have a little more power.
