Oil Blowing Out Oil Fill On 1991 Toyota Corrola

How much oil should I put in a 2002 Toyota Celica?

You are definitely one or maybe 2 quarts too low. Maximum capacity is 4 quarts 5W 30 and I recommend adding one quart slowly at a time and then checking oil level until reading is between 2 lines. You might also check the oil level later today, tomorrow etc to insure no leaks <= if so, a trustworthy mechanic's assessment and the estimated costs of repairs can save headaches and $$ in the long run bec an engine without oil and coolant to lubricate will seize and require complete rebuild or replacement...

Hope the Above Helps!

What is cause of oil filter falling off 2003 4-Cyl Toyota Camry? Has anyone ever heard of such an occurence?

2003 Toyota Camry 4-cy.
I was just driving and Check Oil Pressure Light came on. I was attempting to drive to nearest point of relief when engine stalled. Coudn't start it. Had to tow it. Discovered that oil was splattered on lower engine. Tech said that oil filter was missing and had fallen off. I had oil changed 3200 miles ago. Engine is now frozen. Need new engine?

Up to what mileage will a 1994 toyota camry last?

I currently have a '94 toyota camry with roughly 170k miles on it. It runs exceptionally well. How much longer will it last? Up to 180k, 190k, even 200k? I have regular maintanence done, and I drive conservatively.

1995 toyota corolla keeps blowing fuse for brake and dash board lights.?

i would bet you have a ground/short- socket corrosion/wire chaffing, at one of the tail light sockets. wiring issue just behind the socket. or wrong bulb app.
--------
employing a double element1157 bulb, one element is for brakes, the other for running lights (which is part of the dash light circuit.) a single element 1156 bulb forced into an 1157 hole could do it too.

Will driving with a oil leak in the valve cover gasket hurt the engine? If so, how can this be prevented?

Is it an oil leak or an oil seep? Does oil run down the side of the engine leaving a clean trail as oil drips on the ground? Or does it just form a nasty, mucky oil-dirt combination that slowly builds? If it's actually a leak, get it fixed now. You can lose sufficient oil to starve the engine and cause premature wear or even failure. On top of that, you have an oil slick being left wherever you go, oil is probably dripping on the exhaust causing nasty fumes (not to mention a potential fire hazard) and you are having to spend money on oil that is just going to hit the ground. Not to mention it's not exactly good for those plants by your driveway to have oil washing into them.If it's a seep, don't ignore it. Get it fixed. If you have to wait a week or 2 for financial reasons, that's understandable, but don't push it out too far as it can develop into a leak. In addition, the dirt, cottonwood fluff, dandelion seeds, etc that can get stuck in the slime will do a few detrimental things. For one, it insulates your engine raising operating temperature a bit. Most cars engine oil relies on the side of the block and the oil pan to radiate heat away. Remember, oil functions as a lubricant, cleaner, and coolant! If the block and pan are caked over in grime, it is harder for the oil to transfer it's heat through the pan and into the air. This grime can also pose a serious fire hazard. Not fun.

Recharging a 1991 Toyota Tercel AC. R12 to 134a refrigerant?

I have a 1991 Toyota Tercel and the AC doesn't blow cold anymore. I believe after 19 years the refrigerant has slowly leaked and evaporated away. I think the original coolant was r12 which they no longer sell it and is illegal. I think i have to recharge the system but don't want to spend lots of money for a qualified guy 2 do it. I want to do it myself but i have looked online and there is a bunch of BS about how 2 convert r12 to 134a. Ive heard from "replacing the condenser and all the parts to convert it" (which costs over $300.00) to just " flush the lines and fill with 134a" Which is bout $20. I don't wanna get ripped off so i need some advice from someone who really knows what there talking about... or someone that at least has done it successfully. Thanks -Robert

1988 toyota supra why does my water run hot?

MkIII 1987 to 1991 Supras are known for blowing a head gasket. Here's what you can do to properly diagnose the problem.
1. If there is gray smoke or steam out the tailpipe, AND your water level in your radiator is low, you have a head gasket problem.
You indicated there seems to be water sloshing around in the dash with steam coming out.
This tells me you also have a defective heater core..
I would also recommend changing the thermostat AND fan clutch when you do these repairs. Typically the 3.0 engine is good for 500K miles without a rebuild if properly maintained. I have an 1984 with 250k on it ( same engine design) and it goes on long trips every year. If you do these thing along with a good tuneup, you can expect a long life out of the engine

take care
